Too expensive for what you get. Parking was horrible, not enough spaces, apparently you have to request a fridge and when requested it's just left in the middle of the room for you to move and plug in.

Amanda was an amazing server, as well as the wonderful server who came before her (we were there a while) Stacey, we did not want to leave! These women are wonderful, friendly, and packed with amazing customer service. I felt like a member of the family the moment I walked in I felt like a part of the family. Super proud to know these ladies and will definitely be back to order drinks and a hotel room.

Stayed 2 nights for a work conference in Surrey. Decided to check out the Civic Hotel as it was close to my meetings. WOW… what a delight. Staff were amazing and my room was very comfortable after a long day. Went to Dominion Bar + Kitchen for happy hour and was really good. Will be for sure staying again at the beautiful hotel.

Beautiful hotel in an incredibly convenient location, literally steps away from Surrey Central Skytrain station. I stayed here for a work conference and got lost on the fact that I was in Surrey. What a surprise, the city has done an excellent job in cleaning up what was formerly a very rough part of town. The staff were super helpful, friendly, and courteous. Rooms are clean, bright, welcoming, comfortable, and spacious. The Dominion Kitchen and Bar has excellent food and an awesome Happy Hour. Ordered an Old Fashioned, beer, and wings… all delicious!

Great food, and great service. Sherman in valet and luggage assistance made me feel extremely welcome. The restaurant downstairs is expensive but fantastic. I only took one star off because there still seems to be a little chaos, but this is likely because it's a new hotel. One family took every luggage cart available and then took forever to offload them, and they didn't seem to be getting assistance from any employees (they may have refused it) but it was a bit annoying to wait 20 minutes for. My only other complaint is that the signs to exit the parking garage are horrible. It took us a while to find the exit.

The Civic was very open, with broad architecture and gorgeous paneling throughout. The room I had was really well laid out, with a great view and awesome lighting. There wasn't any table, which is strange for a hotel promoting its allure to business folk. So that was a little awkward. But that said, it was really nice so it's hard to be bothered about that! It doesn't have air conditioning but instead uses passive cooling, which is fine. Just don't expect instant cooling if you find it is too warm in your room.

Beautiful hotel. Very unique midcentury modern decor and stunning, carefully planned rooms. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is seriously good. Go there for the breakfast buffet. You will not regret it. The only downside to this hotel is that there's no real air conditioning, so if you're there during a heatwave be warned.

This is a lovely hotel located in an up-an — coming area of Surrey. While just three months old so still working out some bugs, the hotel is beautifully done and includes some really nice touches, such as an in-room espresso maker and plush robes. The on premise restaurant is really good too. As a business traveler, I would appreciate if the fabulous little coffee shop opened earlier.

We loved staying at the Civic! It was in a great location, with easy access to the SkyTrain and lots of places around it. We had had a really stressful day of traveling, and as soon as we got there, Michelle at the check in desk immediately showed excellent service and was so cute and personable, that all the stress of the day went away. She then recognized us several times later that evening and she just really provided exceptional service. All around really great! We highly recommend it.

New luxury Marriott-branded hotel next to the Sky Train for easy access to downtown Vancouver and many other tourist areas. The concierge, front desk team, restaurant staff all eager to please and help ensure a memorable experience. The hotel is beautiful with large rooms, beautiful views. The food is good and open until late. Direct your travel questions to Norm, who seems to know a lot about the city and places to go. They are working out the "newness" kinks and waiting on some areas such as workout areas and pool to yet open.

Dominion restaurant was 5:5 and not $$ continental breakfast was $$$ but lots of restaurants close by.

Great brand new hotel. Nice and clean. Convenient location. There are still some things for them to learn so I gave four stars. For ex. I'm a top tier member with Marriott so room should've been upgraded but it didn't happen. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Very good start. Hope it can be changed to five in the future if I get a chance to stay there again.

A lot of bugs to work out. Getting checked in was a comedy of errors. After circling the block three times, three phone calls, and a 10-wait in Safeway parking lot, we finally met the bellmen three levels down in the parking garage, the entrance of which was nowhere near the hotel and not marked as hotel parking. But staff was incredibly nice (it’s Canada, after all) and accommodating, and the hotel is beautiful with a cool, contemporary feel. Our foursome had two rooms, and we we surprised and disappointed that the tile in both rooms had a lot of cracking. Definitely not expected in a two-week old hotel. Overall a good experience. An extra star to cut them slack while they get their sea legs under them.
