My aunt and uncle have been going there for about 20 years. Seemed like a good spot for families.

All previous reviews are correct but not accurate. It’s worse! This place is the worst I’ve ever seen. My holiday with my elderly mother was a disaster! Her room was filthy! Disgusting. Shameful. And probably unhealthy. Our RV spot was gross. I brought my concerns to the Owner’s wife and she said her husband will speak with me, was told he would come find me. 2 days later, I went to him! There was no other vacancies in the area, or we would’ve left! The owner offered us a $20 credit because my mom had to clean the room herself! Spaghetti sauce all over the inside of her oven. No utensils Shower was gross with layers of dirt. When I mentioned the Health Authority he rescinded his offer. There is a sewer line directly from her toilet to a creek out back where the “balcony” is. Not a real balcony and don’t ever open the door, disgusting. Beach is sadly neglected. Whole place is rundown. Owner claims that the units are all rented out for the summer so he’s not concerned about people like us who are sucked in by outdated pictures and the word “Resort”.

Terrible customer service. We booked last minute, but had to cancel five hours later as we didn't make it. We were willing to pay partial cost for a cancellation fee, but they still charged us 204$ for a room that was not used.

Dirtiest, most outdated motel I've ever seen. Filthy bathroom, dead bugs all over the floor. On the website, it looked like such a fun place to bring the kids. The beach was smelly and there was a huge, dead goose that had been there for a week. They wanted to charge $170 a night!

BUGS, BUGS, BUGS! No working stove. Packed up and left and they would not refund our money. Gross!

It's a disgusting place! Big mold spots are growing on inside walls. Everything is dirty. The owner is careless and tries to overcharge you! Stay away from this place!

Place was dirty and advertised as a very nice place. The reality is completely different then what is shown.

To call this place a "Beach Resort" is an over statement and misleading. Yes place has a great location being right on wood lake however, the accommodations are another story. My personal experience at this place has been a bit of game of room roulette to say the least. The first room we had (room 9) had a rocky and leaky to toilet that when flushed caused water to spew out of the bathroom sink. The staff was friendly and agreeable and gave us a new room (room 15) which was better on all accounts. For example there were screens and fans in the bedrooms, plus a decent bathroom which our previous room lacked. Overall there are many inconsistentcies with the quailty of this motel. I believe that the location of this motel does not compensate for the $200 nightly fee. If you're looking for a place to stay there are many better and more affordable places located in Kelowna.

Will not be going back to this "resort". Do not be fooled by the name, it is NOT a resort. It is a motel. We did not have hot water to start off with, Wifi was non existent (which the owner claimed was working fine and all the other guests had no problems with it), there was construction stuff on the back porch, no screens on either front door or back door, the water stunk of dead fish/ mildew, and the kitchen was poorly stoked. We had to buy our own drinking water, bring our own plates and utensils, use our own dish towels and clothes. Bring everything even if you think you don't need it! The manager plays favourites with the long time guests.

Don't get fooled by the "lakeside rooms". There is extra charge for those but not worth it. The lake is on the side of the rooms, only one or couple are good, others far away. We stayed for quite a bit, they did not clean the rooms even once. No linen changes for the days. Wifi didn't work. Complained, but they did not get it fixed. The whole idea is spend a little bit extra, stay at a good place. Not worth of beach resort.

Dirty with bugs. Water was turned off. Even though it was freshly renovated the room smelled like mildew. Wi-Fi signal was faint. Only good feature is the beach.

Setting and location were very nice, just in front of Wood lake. Only problem I felt was the owner probably not much into it anymore. We booked 2 cottages. One of them was in bad shape. Broken bathroom fittings, missing shower curtain, broken table leg, unsafe bunk bed ladder (screw was missing, my 5 year old son almost fell from it), stained blankets. Good thing was modest individual cottage, 2 bedrooms, has its own kitchen, microwave, fridge, full size electric stove etc but if you have a plan to cook bring your pots and utensils. Also bring drinking water. 5/6 people may stay. There are plenty open space for kids to run around, few slides, swings etc but some of them were rusty and broken. Has their own private beach and dock. Ask for a recently renovated one (e. G. Number 15) when booked. I would give it a 2.5. It's not that bad comparing how much you are paying.

July 22, 2016 — I would give them no stars if it would let me. My family was driving up to Kelowna from Calgary, We had booked our suite at this hotel for the weekend about a month ago on a Expedia. Before we left Calgary we double checked to see if we had to call to confirm and the website "no need to call to confirm! " So as we were roughly 2 hours away from the hotel they call us and tell us there is no room for us so we would need to find somewhere else to stay. We explained to them that we had nowhere else to go as it is too last minute. We tried to bargain with them stating we can try to find another hotel since they couldn't, and they would need to cover up to $50 for our hotel and we would stay with them the next night. The manager told us $50 was too steep to help us out. We were extremely upset to say the least. As well as we had some friends stay there that weekend as well and due to the over crowded hotel they did not manage well, they would bunk strangers together in rooms and charge full price. I will NEVER stay here, or recommend this hotel to anyone due to poor customer service and they are very unreliable.

The room was advertised as a private lake side cottage. In reality it is a sub par motel. The room had an unpleasant scent upon arrival.

My family and I have been to this resort several years ago and so we decided to stay there this may long weekend, I have to say after staying there this time I am really disappointed in our service we got (or didnt get). we booked our room a month before we were to be there, upon check in on friday we were told we had been upgraded to a new room, unfortunately they were not done with the room… so check in didnt happen until about 4 pm, while were trying to set up in our room they are in there hanging curtains, adding door knobs to the doors, bringing in tables. We didnt have a stove so we agreed that they could enter our room while we were out so the stove would be in when we got back. the manager said he would give us the password for the Wi-Fi right away, but never did! we spent alot of time trying to track him down but couldnt find him. saturday our TV quit working so we let them know, and were told they would look into it. sunday we let them know agin about the tv, and we had no dishes, no coffee or filters for the coffee pot, no dish soap, no soap in the bathroom, we were given 4 towels for 5 people from friday to monday. we were told sunday that they would bring dishes over for us and apologised about not having them oin there, and that they would take a look at the tv.

Amazing people and an amazing place to rest with the family. What's truly singular about this place is the share-driven minded tourist community of this little paradise. We share food, drinks, laughs, stories, experiences etc. I highly recommend it.

Our family loves this place! It has a great location with a large beach and grassy area for all sorts of different activities. Management is very friendly and helpful. The lake is clean and awesome for swimming and the new dock looks fabulous. There is also free Wi-Fi, kayaks and a paddleboat to use during your stay. Highly recommended!

Went here for a weekend and was really happy with the private beach. There was lots of grass & sand for kids to run around and everyone that was there was super friendly. It is the perfect place for a family gathering or if you are looking for a retreat for your group or team.

Kokanee Beach is an amazing place to have a family holiday. We visited for a week in early July and we couldn't have chosen a better place. It has a large grassy area with a trampoline and kids swing set along with a large private beach. We spent most of out time in the lake as the weather was terrific. The rooms were a little outdated but they grew on us. Our suite had kitchen in them which was a necessity for our family to save costs on restaurants The resort staff was extremely friendly, professional, helpful and full of smiles. Thank you Kokanee Beach for making our holiday so wonderful can't wait to see you next year!

Great family fun location at the KIokanee Beach Resort. This resort is a great place for urban families wanting to find a fun family bonding getaway for all ages. Its quite atmosphere gives you good chance to make time for self and other family members. There is a camp fire at night on the beach as well. I would reccomend this place for all families. When the kids are to bed there is lots of room for adult fun as well. Enjoy I had a really great time at the Kokanee Beach Resort. Chandeep Singh Rai.

BEST PLACE ON EARTH One of the best places in the world. The water is beautiful and grate for boating plus the staff is vary helpful and always smiling. It feels just like home thats why ill go every summer.

This is probably the dirtiest motel I've ever stayed. No room service, no soap, no dish detergent. Everything inside the room is dirty and smelly. It does have a private beach, but it won't be suitable for the children to swim since there are lots of boats going in and out plus the water is dirty as well. Kind of surprised even a few weeks before we went there, we could still book the room. There we go, very bad management to ruin a nice place like that.
