The restaurant has amazing food as well as great service. We were treated very well with lots of laughs and food came out fresh, hot and in a timely matter. Would definitely eat there again.

Great food, friendly service!

I booked a "pet friendly" room for one night for 170$!. Very dated and let's sit down for a morning coffee. Oh wait a minute. There is only one chair that I was afraid to sit on as it wobbled all over. So first off the room is really small. No biggie. Second it is carpeted. Why do you carpet pet friendly rooms? My dogs nose has not left the floor since I arrived. I can only imagine what he is "smelling". Ewe. Thirdly… no microwave. I was so looking forward to popcorn but nada. This is like a 60$ room with the pet fee. My dog is part of my family. Sleeps in his own bed… next time I will book a room elsewhere and if that is not an option I will book a "regular" room and not disclose I have a pet. My advise on a "pet friendly" room is make it comfortable for everyone… ditch the carpet and put in laminate. And maybe include a microwave and fridge! On an up note. The food at the lodge was very very good. I would dine here again but not stay here again. I think "The Lodge" could step up the rooms to match the dining experience.

Rooms are a bit small, but other wise clean, comfortable hotel for a few evenings.

Horrible service etiquette. Visiting from Vernon, BC. Ordered meals and drinks for two. Refills were neither observed or offered. Waitress came by simply to say "are you done? " when my spouse was visibly still finishing her food, still neglecting empty drinks at our table. Food is unreasonably priced and basic. I rarely share a bad review however this is warranted. I will not support this business again.

We were so pleased with our stay this summer. The room was comfortable, the beds and pillows were perfect. From the girls at the reception to the gals in the restaurant, we had great conversations and were made to feel very welcomed and at home.
We will definitely be back!

Great place to spend an evening. Rooms are clean, beer is cold and a good traditional pub menu which also has a few higher end extras in the restaurant.

I’m being honest when I say I never expected the food to be as good as it was at this place. Probably the best chicken burger I’ve ever had and the salads were amazing as well. Comfortable and cozy atmosphere. I visit Nakusp often and now I will have to visit this place every time I return or I will feel like I’m missing out on something! Great service and great food, definitely recommend!

Rooms are quite old and carpet is smelly but everything clean. However, the main building of the hotel and restaurant have been recently renovated and food is excellent.

Very close to a nice sandy beach with a gorgeous scenic view in a small, friendly town in the beautiful West Kootenays. Had a lovely stay in a clean, comfortable room that was quite affordable. Information and access to all sorts of leisure activities, local food and drink spots, as well as arts and crafts shops, etc. I would definitely return for another stay next time I am in Nakusp, BC.

The lady working the front desk was rude. Some worker unlocked our door and walked into a room, did not knock, just barged in. The rooms do not have air conditioning. And the shower head has a high pitch ring everytime u turn it on. Only good thing about this place is that we got our money back and stayed somewhere else. Do not recommend this place for anyone trying to enjoy there stay.

My best advice for this quiet and clean lodge. There are some really nice rooms here that are a very small upgrade price… and try the truffle fries in the lodge restaurant. I think they may be the best I have ever had. And every other meal there has been great. The free coffee in the lobby was a tasty brew.

There are only two reasons to dine at any restaurant more than once… consistently excellent service and an awesome chef. The Lodge has it figured out. Now, that being said, they really do need to do something about the decor and ambiance in that front dining room. In the meantime, sit in the lounge. It's patron-friendly.

One of the better restaurant's I've been to. I normally have something to b@#$% about but the food was great. I had the Cuban poboy best sandwich I've ever put in my mouth hole. The drinks where cold and staff was friendly. And then there was a local in the bar bring earplugs. We where on the other side of the large restaurant and I could hear his every word. BUT I'd endure the racket for that sandwich any day of the week.

Great hotel! Stayed here for 4 nights and loved it! Restaurant has first-class foods and most waitresses are nice. Excellent all cotton large towels. Beds are in great shape too. Just the pillows are a bit too soft and would likely be too hot in the summer.

Convenient location, restaurant serves great food. Room is clean and the rate is very reasonable.

Room did not look like any on the website. Not very big. Mattress was not comfortable at all. No mini fridge or microwave. Only a coffeemaker and TV. Bathroom was clean. Not renovated, old decor. You can hear everyone else around you (walking, talking, sex, etc. ) Bathroom fan and light worked together. Fan is very noisy. Staff was very nice in both restaurant and the front desk. Cheap for a reason.

Ask for a room in the Annex… they are huge with two queen beds with down quilts. Bathroom also very large! You can park right outside your door on main floor which is great for motorcyclists! Food was excellent in their pub/restaurant with very good prices! Try the nature grains for brekkie awesome!

Great simple clean place with no frills. No continental breakfast. A small fridge in room would have made it just right… bring a cool box. Restaurant in hotel is best dinner food in town.

I passed through on a motorcycle trip. This motel is very motorcycle-friendly — they even had rags available to clean your bike. The staff at the front desk who checked me in was so welcoming and friendly — she was seriously so nice! I was very impressed with the room and amenities as well. And I liked that the motel is right by the boardwalk along Upper Arrow Lake — it was a pleasure to spend part of the evening walking around and seeing the beautiful views after a long and tiring ride. I had a great stay, and will definitely stay again next time I'm passing through Nakusp. Thanks!

The staff at the front desk and room service staff we're OUTSTANDING. Was a joy to stay here. Was honestly the most friendliest place I've seen in a LONG time. Price was reasonable. What a great little town.

Great staff. The room is adequate, but very musky smelling. I came home with congestion. Restaurant does a great breakfast.
