Loved the clean, quiet, updated rooms as well as the staff so much, we stayed an extra night, everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. Huge shout out to casino staff member Sharron. (from the coors light guy) Will definitely stop in again next time we are in that part of BC.

The staff are always cheerful and quick and the food is consistently yummy. Nice casual bar atmosphere.

The Canada day buffet features a wide variety of breakfast options to mix and match. Staff kept the buffet items freshly stocked and replenished. On other occasions we have met for breakfast at the Billy, staff are always busy waiting on tables or keeping coffees refilled. Many of the staff have been there for numerous years. The coffee itself could be stronger, but when this was mentioned to our server we were invited to ask for a freshly brewed and stronger pot. Food is always reasonably priced and tasty.

Buffet breakfast. Very well done. Great eggs and bacon. The eggs Benny wasn't so good. The hollandaise sauce was not my favorite. Great service. Very busy but the waiter was on top of things. I recommend the French toast.

Love eating in the Lounge. The staff is extra attentive and never disappear from sight. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. They even have a Gluten Free menu and a Vegetarian menu.

Great place, lots of new games, friendly staff and great food at the restaurant.

Rooms were new and clean, nice place but streets were noisy until late evening so if you were wanting to open windows for fresh air…

We popped into the Billy Barker late night while crawling around the Quesnel bar scene. The casino is nothing special. They have card tables, but they are not used. When I asked when they open them up, they replied, "never". We didn't stay all that long. Good place if you like slots, but not if you like cards.

Not impressed with the poor communication skills of the security and desk staff talking about my co workers as I pass by the desk interrupting on personal conversations threatening to call the police after the situation had been delt with to try and provoke a confrontation and with your comment of not wanting our patronage you have received your request it is unanimous out of the 14 of us who were there we will not return. It is apparent that you are used to dealing with low end clientel.

All was going well… until we found a pair of disgusting dirty socks under the bed. >X — (that shows how well they clean up the place. :/

Went in with a group and I understand that they were busy but two of our group were staying at the hotel and they wouldn't be bothered to call their room when a table was free so we went elsewhere.

Decent place. Solid food in the restaurant. Some cool character. I enjoyed it.

Walked in for 10 minutes. Quadrupled my initial at black jack. My dealer Allen provided the best experience.

It was ok toouch eco shaming sometimes I just want a clean towel.

I absolutely can't stand it when a waiter or waitress says… "more coffee sir? ". Helllooo. I am drinking tea and cold water… look at the entire table and ask everyone if they want more to drink… NOT JUST THE COFFEE DRINKERS. Thanks for listening. Rhonda.

Well this was our second time at the hotel. Again, loved it! First visit was in the Parisian room for one night the Jacuzzi tub was amazing and buffet breaky in the morning, delicious! Second visit, was this weekend, it was in the Hollywood room Heated bathroom floor and soaker tub, fabulous! Great get away for the weekend for myself and my man. We will be back again. Trying yet another theme room I'm sure. Thank you to housekeeping and service staff. All great.

A touch of nostalgic there when approaching the front doors. Each floor of the hotel invites you in with a touch of home. Nice clean rooms. The noice level is quiet. I had a great sleep.

The Hotel: Wonderful! Clean! Unique! The staff are super friendly as well! Most definitely the best place to stay in town. Close to restaurants and downtown shops. The Casino: Small but this town doesn't need anything bigger. Super friendly staff. The Restaurant: AWFUL. Trust me when I say you can make the food yourself a hundred times better. I found it to be a complete waste of money. Had the hot turkey sandwich in which contained both dark and white meat and… Cartilage! Yum! Not. Food came out lukewarm as well. Potatoes and veggies were bland. On a separate occasion, had the fish and chips… nothing to write home about… mushy and gross. You can get a box of fried fish from walmart and if you ate it raw it would still be better than the concoction I was served. Always seems to be the same lady working and her customer service skills/attentiveness are sub-par. Lounge is great if you want a drink, on a positive note but there are lots of better restaurants within walking distance from the Hotel.

This hotel management treats it staff with such high regard they allowed the complete staff to attend a Christmas Function regardless of revenue implications. Congrats to a dedicated employer.

The Staff Have a great attitude, even when checking in in the late hours of the night. Rooms are clean and they have really nice decor. This is a great place to stop in when driving through.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room was quiet. I was concerned from noise in casino but I slept well Small restaurant had decent food.

Food is not. I repeat. Food is not as good as it used to be. The chicken gravy is horrible and from a table of 5 only 1 person said that their meal was just okay. Sorry, I used to like going to the Billy for food but not again till they do something about their quality of food.

Clean but the rooms are pretty small. The casino is small and unintereting (I am not a gambler). Pretty good stop on a road trip theough, the bed was comfortable.

The restaurant here is amazing. Excellent food, menu, prices and portions A++ Clean fresh atmosphere; very roomy and lots of seating. Good service. My new go to place. Breakfast buffet is spectacular!

Went here for dinner last night. Service was very friendly and the food was delicious. We ordered the chocolate cheesecake for dessert and it was absolutely to die for! I'd recommend trying it if youre a fan of cheesecak.

The rooms are great, and the food in the restaurant is simple but well executed. Most of the staff we encountered were nice and helpful. The only critique I have is the sound insulation: if people are talking in the hallway, it pretty much sounds like they're in bed talking to you. Fortunately the hallway was generally quiet.

We just took a road trip from Prince George to Quesnel because I wanted to walk across the beautiful, wooden foot bridge. Which we did and took photos as well. We went to the Visitors Centre and had a look around, took photos of the beautiful flowers and Billy Barker. From there we went to have a meal at the Billy Barker Casino Hotel. The service was fabulous, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was really nice. We felt relaxed and enjoyed our meal. The casino was awesome too, felt like we were in Vegas! Very clean I might add. I love Quesnel and we will go back. Next time it wil be for shopping in some of the awesome little shops and another meal at the Hotel. I posted photos and comments on FB, about your lovely little town. THANK YOU, QUESNELfor a beautiful experience. We will go back.

I've already written a review on the billy's page! Our wedding night stay was amazing! The captain's suite was perfection.

Food was ok service is very bad rude had to wait 15 mins for a refill on coffee no waitress at the table for the last 20 mins empty plates need to be taken.

Quick and basic good food. Prices great. Service is always friendly.

The location was convienient, Quesnel is pretty small so easy to find, and close to everything we needed. The parking lot is gravel. The casino seemed like any other but we didn't partake. We checked-in late in the evening, but with no issues. We booked a theme room ahead of time, the room was appropriately decorated and comfortable. Good bed, nice dark quiet bedroom, the bathroom has nice dual sinks, large shower and water closet with its own door. Decent balcony overlooking a quiet street. Acceptable kitchenette with real cream packets in the fridge for coffee. Service was good, and they included a complementary gym pass.

The location was easy to find, the Asian Suite was absolutely beautiful and well outfitted, and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We loved it! The bathroom was also very great with two basin sinks and a lovely glass shower.

The casino has extremely friendly staff and although its small it has what u would expect a couple blackjack tables and plenty of slots when visiting BC be sure u grab a bc gold card and rack up some points for bonus fmdraes random giveaways etc.

Clean and recently reno'd.

I'm not saying it's good or bad. Just didn't worked for me at all. When you book a room in one Hotel with a Casino, you do have some high expectations. Therefore, if you like John Wayne times and smell or 1800' life/style, then go for it, otherwise, move on and save your clothes from vintage smell. On top of that, on the booking process I asked at least two times if breakfast was included, and the unswer was YES! Of course, when I've got here, I was told otherwise. When I asked for explanation front desk lady was to blame my "accent". I booked a queen size bed room, bed, chair, night stand all are vintage, smelly. Bathroom (no ceiling vent), sink very tiny. No microwave, iron or closet in the room. On the good side everybody is extremely polite.

Love the Captain's suite and always good food in the restaurant.

Was just there this August and loved the room we had it was really, really nice. the whole hotel was just re-done this year fresh and clean and it is well worth the stay just for that alone. Good food. Cold Drinks and a Casino right there. The only thing I found was the front staff were not very friendly I was surprised that the room cleaners were more chatty and friendly. You think the front staff would say Welcome to The Billy Barker Enjoy your stay. Or something. Not. Just a cold stare and a cold reception. They really didn't smile much or nothing. It was not very welcoming? We mentioned a couple of incidents that happened and you think they would of said "Oh sorry that happened " but again Not.? would I recommend this hotel yes for the nice rooms only! just saying.

We stayed there last year. We plan on staying at Billy Barker's again this year. It was a clean, friendly hotel/casino. It's in a cute little town.
