The property is modern and the service is excellent. Be sure to have the PIN for your credit card ready, though they do accept Debit upon showing ID and a credit card. The rooms are clean, with basic beddings and linens. The bath towels are small. The TV is smaller, offering standard resolution basic cable. Internet was fast. Location is great — just off the beach, near restaurants and amenities. We skipped the continental breakfast, but it smelled good. We would stay here again. Good value.

The staff were cheerful and very friendly. Rooms were large, nice and clean. Fridge and microwave were handy. Breakfast was cereal, toast and instant oatmeal, but it was okay. Walking distance from the main beach and marina.

Top notch friendly service, and definitely brand new beds which made a great sleep… Also the shower pressure will change your life! Best deal in town.

The receptionist Adrian, was fun, friendly and helpful. He helped me take my suitcase to the 2nd floor and invited me to contact staff at any time of the day or night. The hotel is super cute, 90s style, decorated with love. Very cozy and quiet. I had a good sleep both nights, the bed was comfy, room # 214 The room could be cleaner though. There was an unfolded blanket hanging out of a closet. I wasn't sure if it was used by the previous guest or not. There were some candy pieces by the bed and under the sink. After the 1st day, when staff cleaned the room, they did not take out the garbage. I came back to an unpleasant smell. At least a towel was replaced and stylishly folded, the bed was made. Candy pieces and messy blanket were still there. It's a selective cleaner I guess. It's the only reason I'm hesitating to come back. I left an encouraging note for the cleaner, saying their cleaning effort is much appreciated. The room had a microwave! I warmed up my own food, it was great! Such a great feature, glad they advertise it! Hot shower with great pressure, was perfect on a cold, windy day. The breakfast was decent. Nice and doughy. Toast, waffles, mini muffins, cereal, juice, tea, etc. I wish there was some fruit though. It was still a good selection. Very well organized and clean. Over all very nice place. Room cleaner needs help.

Good friendly people at desk but called after finding toilet was dirty we were afraid to sit on it. And all they said was it's hard to keep up. There tired Offered to come clean at 9:15 pm but all we wanted to do was sleep. Will not be returning.

Cozy, very clean rooms! Staff is friendly and genuine, continental breakfast is small but good food. The coffee in the room was really terrible, but you can't have everything. I enjoyed my stay and recommend this inn without hesitation.

We took a chance on this hotel as we normally stay in chain hotesl but we were pleasantly surprised. You can tell it's an older hotel that requires a little bit of work but we stayed in room 107 and it had the most comfortable bed. I loved it and woke up without any back pain which is important for me. My husband loved the shower, in fact said it was the best shower he's ever experienced in any hotel. When we checked in, the owner was very friendly, asked if we needed more than one key, recommended a nice place for dinner and offered help at any time of the night or day. It was really quiet too, other than hearing a little bit of noise from the TV next door, we didn't hear anyone. The breakfast was okay but I can't eat any bread products so there wasn't much for me. Husband liked it though. I'd recommend the hotel… and i'd stay again.

Comfortable beds. Nice clear tv. Very clean. Big rooms. Breakfast was good. Cheap price would recommend.

Had a very pleasant stay at the Inn, good location, nice view, and very accommodating staff. The shower was amazing as well, so good that I had to go in again for a second time to confirm that is was that great, its confirmed. If you enjoy hot showers with tons of pressure, STAY HERE.

Stay away. You are better off in a hostel. The cost far exceeds the décor and customer service.

I just booked LAST MINUTE for this up coming weekend (July 4th). Being a very busy weekend the lady who answered the phone was polite and more then happy to take her time helping me find as many different types of rooms as I needed and booked numerous room fast and without issue. I then came to the Google reviews and became excited about my stay. By the sounds of it Spoiled, rowdy and un-honest people are not welcome, and what ever owner is responding to comments doesn't take any shit. Haha I think our stay will be just fine. Will update after this weekend. ps. Your paying roughly $140.00 for a room people. For a busy weekends that is a great rate. Your comments make it sound like you payed $500.00.

We had a wonderful experience at the Lost Harbour Inn a couple of weeks ago. We did not have a reservation for a Monday-Wednesday stay, and the owner got us in without hassle. We stayed in a jacuzzi suite for approximately $150 a night, and it was phenomenal. The bed, the tvs, the kitchenette, the jacuzzi — all beautiful, in working condition, and very comfortable and clean. For us, the best part was the two barbeques in a gazebo out back where we spent our evenings barbequing steaks. We did not have barbequing utensils, steak knives and plates, and these were provided to us at little or no cost. We came and went as we pleased, and every time we were in or out, the friendly staff greeted and chatted with us. Late on Tuesday night, I wanted more bath salts, and the wonderful night staff looked through several closets in order to find me what I was looking for. He gave me more than enough! While we only took the time to grab a couple of muffins from the continental breakfast, everything looked fantastic and stayed out as long as guests wished to eat. Very considerate! Next door is the mini golf and go karts, which we spent a lot of time at and really enjoyed ourselves. The Lost Harbour Inn is not right across from the main beach as some of the hotels, but this makes it a little more quiet and it is a short walk or drive to the main beach. Overall, we had a fantastic time and highly recommend the Lost Harbour Inn! Thank you so much to the wonderful staff!

So I stayed at this hotel in the executive suite for I believe 9 nights straight. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is because they are still working on some things but from talking to the owner, they are slowly upgrading and intend to better the hotel so who knows maybe by the next visit it will be up to 5 stars. Pros — VERY friendly almost like family type staff members (including owner). Everyone was always more then welcoming and accommodating for anything we needed. We stayed in the room a lot because I was injured so they didn't clean the room daily but they would still ask us daily if we needed anything and supply us with such. The Jacuzzi was a nice touch to the room and the layout of the room was very comfy. The room had in a fridge, microwave, toaster which made things convenient for out long stay. There was plenty of parking. The morning breakfast was okay, nothing special, just a simple breakfast but enough to stop by and grab a bagel or some cereal. Also always fresh coffee. Cons — When the room was cleaned, it could have been better, I wouldn't call the rooms filthy like the other reviews but they could do a bit better at cleaning, especially when they did fully clean our rooms they would forget stuff like trash, or more toilet paper. All little things. Nothing that would scare me away or call this hotel "dirty" because it definitely is not.

Reid, I am directing this to you and others that I want to know about The Lost Harbour Inn and the owners. I stayed for three 6 on / 2 off stays. The managers that were working/managing my first two weeks prior, I had problems with also. Just looking at them you can see what they consider clean versus what others consider clean. We would get new towels, without them taking out the old ones, some times trash would be taken out and others not, maybe once every three days they would vacuum. But even with this, this hotel is three times better than the other motels in the area. We stayed in the loft suite and really liked the layout. The price was reasonable and priced between the motels and the expensive hotels. This is what kept bringing us back. We were told by the managers that the owners will be taking over the hotel during our stay. So I wanted to see how they are and to finish our last two days of the third week staying here. WOW, what an extreme difference. I was sleeping for my next shift and when I walked down the hallway you could see a huge difference. When I came down the stairs, first thing they asked was if my room needed cleaning or any items needed replaced. I told them that it would be OK as we were going to be leaving in a few days, but if they had time that would be great. I went to get something to eat and when I returned to my room they apologized for the condition of our room and said it was clean now. What a difference.

As an avid traveler having stayed at hundreds of hotels in my time, I feel so strongly and passionate to inform future guests of this hotel. This has been by far my worst experience with any hotel I have every stayed at. Upon check-in I was rudely greeted by the front desk, I felt I was “disturbing” whatever they were doing. I was given one room key which was very inconvenient as there were more than one guest in the room and we were constantly having to change our plans due to this situation, when asked for another, they responded with only one was available. The hotel room was a complete different story, never in my life have I seen such an untidy mess, this place was beyond discussing, dust-bunnies, old rotten food, dry crumbs, spider-webs, garbage, etc. I was in a non-smoking room which clearly has been smoked in before. Clearly the people who are doing the room service have never been trained correctly, as all these items were in plain view upon entering my room. I truly felt gross and disgusted staying in this place. The appliances were the same story, I attempted making myself a coffee and there was still water and coffee grounds in the appliance from the previous attendants, after spending the time to clean it out I plugged it in to quickly realize the pot was damaged and would not work anyways. Majority of the outlets did not work in the room which was extremely inconvenient as I was having to choose what personal items of mine to charge/use.

I called to see if they had any availability for the long weekend. The woman who I asked simply grunted 'no, we're booked' and hung up before I could ask if they were available other times. I actually didnt know she'd hung up on me until my phone line sounded dead. I thought she'd just cut out or something. She didnt even say thanks for calling or anything. Makes it easy enough to strike them off the list for this weekend and the other weekend I wanted to book. Good job lady. I used to work at the front desk of a hotel in BC, and if we even thought to treat a potential guest like this we would be looking for another job the same day. Guess good help is hard to find out in Sylvan.
