I lived on the 13th floor, and living at there was like the worst nightmare I’ve ever had.
When you turn on the shower water, the whole shower unit shakes like crazy as if someone is using a jackhammer upstairs.
Also, when the rainy days come, the floor boards in the living room seeps water out.
Not to mention it’s $1, 395 per month without dishwasher, extractor hood, en-suite laundry, AC, parking stall and storage room.

Not ideal for most people. The 4 person room won't work great if everyone shares a fridge, and don't even get me started on the parking distance. (too late) Not to mention you get scammed for quite literally everything additional (although not excluding the upfront price).
I get most students are encouraged to not own a car, but I guarantee the teachers don't have to walk nearly this far to access their vehicles in the winter and I have walk that several times a day in freezing weather, more often than not i'm carrying Thor's hammer's worth of weight in groceries back about 20 minutes uphill freezing all of my limbs off.
Temporary gym is horrendous and packed.
Bathroom is tiny in the 4 person east hall rooms.
Bed is very high up to account for such limited storage space, sometimes I fall.
Water and power keeps being turned off.
Elevators never work.
RA games are corny and forced.
Can't really party but at the same time it's always loud.
Bad Wi-Fi.
👍:
Almost okay for somehow meeting people.
Good life experience getting scammed.
Gym is close.
Class is close.
Wifi router discounts.
Appliances worked for the most part.
Shower was pretty disgusting tho.
2 Stars cause I met a couple cool people but (actually changing that to 1 now) — (for the amount of parking tickets I received for 10 minutes of parking in front of the dorm. )
(Tried to appeal but just got a random single sentence back in denial and no option to contact about it. )

The residence housing is such a disgrace. I don't even know why I stayed here in the first place. My experience here for the last few months was very unpleasant. The problems that I've seen here were:
1) Lack of maintenance:
— One of the elevators keep breaking down every once or twice a month, costs roughly about $20K to repair it. This happens when someone touches the elevator door. It usually doesn't break down for no reason (unless its an old type of elevator). Another thing is if you're experiencing heat problems, the maintenance takes an awfully long time to fix it. Definitely rubbish!
2) High level noise:
— Students are partying like a bunch of numbskulls (mostly on Fridays and Saturdays) that disrupts other neighbors. It doesn't matter which floor you're on. You could hear it from beside your room, across the hall, or even the floor above you. Even if you try to report the noise, nobody gives a crud where it came from. Just investigate and go. That's their half ass job!
3) The price of staying here and Begin Tower are ridiculously high:
— This is another showcase if you applied for a student loan or saving up money for SAIT. Paying for two-installents or the whole payment can cause imbalances. You have to update the payment to pay the whole thing. They are trying to scam your money for half a term or the academic year. What a bunch of con-artists!
