Hotel Arts

A gem of a boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Hotel Arts is 5 stars without the attitude. Everyone is so welcoming, warm and helpful. The rooms are newly renovated and super tasteful. I enjoyed an early morning swim in a beautiful oasis. Great restaurants and bars both in the hotel and right outside the door. I can’t recommend Hotel Arts enough.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The beds were very comfortable, the location was excellent, and the food and drinks were both delicious.
Unfortunately, there were a few disappointing aspects, especially considering the price of the hotel. The pool area was consistently overcrowded, our room had ripped headboards, and the toilet was broken.
When we brought these issues to the front desk, we felt the initial response was somewhat dismissive. For a hotel of this caliber, we expected the room to be better maintained. While the staff did eventually offer us one complimentary breakfast as a gesture, it felt a bit underwhelming given the concerns we experienced.
Overall, the hotel has many great qualities, but the room maintenance and customer service could be improved to better match the premium price point.

An excellent location! I keep coming back every time I visit Calgary. I sleep great here with Comfy beds, black out curtains and quiet rooms. I very much enjoyed the tub after a cold winter day.

Such an amazing staycation we had at Hotel Arts with our kids and family before moving to BC.
The staff was incredible all weekend in ensuring we were enjoying ourselves poolside, well feed and happy.
Special thanks to Jerwin & Kim for making our family day so amazing and helping in all the ways with our requests. And to John so the amazing service during our goodbye breakfast.

Celebrated a family birthday at the pool/restaurant here and the experience was fantastic. Kim was excellent and very helpful with the planning and coordination, and Jerwin and John were exceptional in making sure we had everything we needed and took very good care of us. Will be coming back!

Jerwin waited on us from 9am to 6pm. We had a bday party by the pool. We cheered the. Calgary Dino’s on to a championship victory in the Social Club and Jerwin was absolutely amazing! Just celebrated my best friends birthday here this week end. We had an amazing time from start to finish. What a beautiful hotel. I would like to personally thank Ronald for his 10/10 service. He made us feel truly welcome😊 The housekeeping staff also left us a beautiful Happy Birthday card and delicous macarons. Thank you very much Hotel Arts.

😡Very disappointed. We are here to attend a convention and come to Calgary for 5 days as a hugh group across Canada. One of the person in our group checked in early and got upgraded to a king size suit even he is travel by himself. The check in lady is not very friendly, asked me to enter credit card pin when it can be tapped. And asked me to sign right away without explaining things until I asked.
Our flight got delayed and we didn’t arrive until 11pm. We requested to switch to a king size bed and maybe an upgrade, but we were told that we booked a luxury queen size with a VIEW. I’m coming with my husband, now we are sleeping separately. This is both our first time coming to Calgary after living in Canada for 30 years.
This is the first morning of my stay, 8am construction 🚧 is starting with loud noise. 9am the room service open my door without knocking when I’m changing. 😤😤😤 The booking said either a pool/city view, if all the hotel rooms are facing either side, why gives me hope. All I see now it’s construction.

I’ve been staying in this hotel on and off for years and have always loved it. This time we got to our room and it wasn’t made up yet, not a huge deal, it happens.
We contacted reception who upgraded us which was unnecessary but nice.
When going to my old room to get my luggage I was accosted by a member of staff asking what’s wrong with the room, what’s your problem? I don’t know, I didn’t realise this had become a put your own sheets on kind of hotel. An annoyance in an otherwise great hotel that put me in a bad mood.

When booking our stay directly through Hotel Arts, we wanted to express a thank you to the ladies addressing our reservation and the changes being made. It was refreshing to speak to your staff who excelled in politeness and professionalism. They were wonderful! We look forward to our stay on the 25th!

We stayed for a Saddledome event and loved the convenience of only being a 10 minute walk away. Our room was excellent with great amenities. Service was excellent including the front desk delivering actual cream for my coffee on request! The night-time views of the city from our balcony were spectacular and while there is construction out front, they didn’t start working until 8am and the noise was minimal. Parking is a real plus but there is a charge if you do t book through the hotel directly (tip: the price direct appears typically cheaper than any of the travel companies) Overall, highly recommended.

Great location for events at the Saddledome — an easy 10–15 minute walk. Staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Free underground parking was a huge bonus, especially downtown in winter. Rooms are spacious with a mini fridge and coffee maker, and the bathrooms are open and well laid out with good counter space and water pressure. Loved the shampoo and conditioner. Our view included some construction but also the Calgary Tower. The room could use a bit of TLC (our headboard cover was torn), but overall a clean, friendly, and convenient place to stay downtown.

Jerwin should get a raise. It was so busy at the pool today and it seemed like he was alone working. His service did was not affected by everyone’s high demand. My cocktail was never slow. Wow if you want a good time at hotel arts, make sure he’s working! Give him a raise already.

We chose this hotel for a short staycation mainly because of the pictures of the pool on the internet and we wanted to try the breakfast buffet at their restaurant but…
PROS first.
The location was great! Right in the downtown area and there is free parking for hotel guests.
There was a booked event at the pool are on the night that we booked our stay so we are not able to use the pool at the time we wanted (around 4-6 pm) so they gladly gave us early check-in at 12 so we can start using the pool at 2pm. You need reservations for the pool and it's not guests only, outside patrons can use the pool for a fee.
Now the CONS…
The room was small but clean. The sad part is it was really run down. The leather coating on the bed was peeling off and it was not nice to see; the heater was very old. They need to upgrade the furniture in the room.
There was no microwave in the room, but we were able to request for one. You have to pay $4 if you consume the bottled water inside the room.
The pool is great but VERY small, pictures online are deceiving. When we arrived there around 2pm. There were quite a few people already there and mostly were adults drinking, lounging and some swimming. There was only 1 other child when we were there. My bad for not doing research that the pool caters more to adults than children. We ordered from the restaurant that was tied up to the pool call the Social Club.

Lovely hotel! Great service! Room keeping did such a lovely tidy and reset every day. Nice little gym! Dumbells all the way up to 40lbs, a treadmill, a bench, a bike, and a couple? steppers?. Also a couple mats.
I just wish they had music playing in the gym so you didnt hear each other huffing and puffing haha.

BS Communication Strategies hosted our first Summit at Hotel Arts. Without a doubt, we chose this venue for the quality of service we encountered at every step of organizing & executing our event. Each person from Event Planners, to serving staff to onsite support exceeding our expectations. Friendly, professional and as committed to customer experience as we are. We have already booked it for next year. Beautiful location, great vibes and easy access to parking and nearby amenities. Two thumbs WAY UP!

Rooms felt clean, staff were nice and location was central for our weekend visit. However there were lots of small things that seemed to add up and simply make the experience OK. The water pressure was horrendous, the bed frames were made of some kind of plastic that was ripped all over, the soaps smelt bad (it’s personal preference but the scent was extremely strong and lingered). It was a nice hotel but overall not my cup of tea.
