The last leg of our tour of Cambodia and we were lucky to stay to Le Chanthou. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is beautiful.

Le Chanthou Boutique is a charming getaway perfect for your trip to the Angkor complex of temples. We were greeted by vegetable chips and a welcome drink. There is no elevator here so beware. Pack bug spray. Check out is 3 pm. Service is excellent. Tours may be overpriced so just secure one at Angkor Wat. The smell is nice!

The rooms are modern and comfortable. Amenities are good. The pool is wonderful. It's a little way out of town, however the hotels Tuk Tuk provided free rides to town on occasion, usually free in the evening.

Pros The staff here were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Song. There are free tuk tuks into the centre and one can be arranged for a trip to Angkor Wat (for a fee. They will also make a breakfast for you to take away). The breakfast is really good. The room and bed were amazing. On our last day I was a bit ill so they let us check out late for free. Overall one of the best places I've stayed in. Cons Only very small criticisms. On one day there were not enough beds by the pool, but it was fine for the other two. Also water pours out of little elephant statues which can be annoying after a while if you want some peace and quiet. The computer by reception is also very slow to the point it can hardly be used and needs updating/upgrading. The Wi-Fi could also cut out occasionally but was mostly good. Our room was a little dark, even with the lights on, but that's about it — really minor stuff compared to the huge pros. Stay here!

I stayed here a week ago and I'm still at a loss for words to describe how amazing my experience was here. From the moment we were picked up from the airport till drop off (both complimentary), we were treated like royalty. We were late arriving due to some immigration delays, but our transport was waiting with a personal sign for us just the same. Upon arriving to the hotel, the front desk manager Roth greeted us with fresh tea and snacks. We were able to book our temple tours through the hotel at a very reasonable price, and Roth even sent a driver to grab us a num pang (baguette sandwich) from down the street for no extra charge! The room was exquisitely clean, fully stocked with the essentials, and the air conditioner cooled the room down in a matter of minutes. The front desk answered the phone promptly every time we called them, and we never felt like our requests were a burden. The complimentary breakfast is made fresh to order, which is refreshing after suffering through a plethora of continental breakfasts over the years. Go for the Cambodian dishes, you didn't come all this way for an omelette! The only issue we had during our stay was that our balcony door handle was broken, but Roth had the staff take care of it right away and it was as good as new the next time we returned to our room. If you are looking to stay in the Siem Reap area, look no further. This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had, period.

It was a very pleasant stay. The people are very friendly and helpful. The hotel. Is just outside the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed it. The pool is also great and offers a pleasant cooling off. The couches are sometimes a little short. The breakfast selection is great. And the restaurant Sierviert fine dishes.

Do yourself a favour and stay here. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and go out of their way to help you whenever possible. Reception staff also used our names when referring to us, which is a lovely touch and make the whole experience feel more homily. Breakfast was another positive and came with a few different options all inclusive of a juice, coffee and fruit. I thought long and hard to find a negative for this hotel and the only potential problem would be the rooms sound proofing, as when there were noises we could hear them. During our stay, however, noise was not an issue and the only reason I noticed was with reference to this review. My wife and I also found the beds very comfortable but my dad found them a little on the hard side. My favourite hotel in Cambodia Almost perfect It is far and close to the main town at the same time, very quiet place. The rooms are beautiful specially the premier suite. The staff are very well trained and they provide an excellent service.

Definetely Chanthou is the place to stay in Siem Reap. Quiet (really close from town by tuktuk included on the price tho), Cozy and hands down the nicest and most helpful staff of any other hotel Ive ever been before. Greetings and thanks a million from Ruben Laura and Ana!

New facilities, confortable bedroom, elegant construction, beautiful design, stunning pool. The staff was so friendly and helpful 24/7. Amazing smoothies at the bar. Relax area far from noisy/dirty Pub Street if you want to rest and be quiet after a long day at the temples. Ideal for couples and families. It really worth it! Recommended 100%.

The hotel, the room, and the pool are superb. The family room is very nice, spacious, decorated with taste and quality materials. The staff is extremely kind, always attentive of our needs are various and varied : organization of the visits, babysitting, booking of touktouk, birthday cake. And always with a smile. And the owners are charming. For the Asian tour in various hotels, this is the best hotel we have chosen.
