#10 Lakeside Guesthouse Hotel

To be honest the room left a lot to be desired. Most importantly the bed was awful. I've slept on comfier rocks. My partner and I both woke up with awful back and neck pain from the odd, hard, lumpy pillows and 0 support mattress. The hotel was odd to say the least, the stairs were a pain with backpacks on (steep, narrow and no head room) the rooms all had signs on the door which said "no drugs allowed" (which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing…) and the window opened up onto a lovely view of a brick wall less than 10cm away. The bathroom also had no roof which doesn't give much privacy when utilising the facilities. To add to the bathroom issues, the shower didn't work properly and there was so little room you almost had to be sat on the toilet to use the icy trickle. The only redeeming features were the staff seemed nice and they have 3 dogs in little T-shirts who are lovely. We've stayed in many budget places over the years but there is really no excuse for it to be this bad. For $2 more we stayed in a whole studio flat which was lovely, comfy, clean and central.

Nice chilled place, good price, good food and good employees. They are very helpful when asked, Phillip the manager is good hard working and caring man.

The room we got was 406-small, obsharpanyj, with window, air conditioning, vintiljatorom and dirty bed linen… Comforted yourself thinking about one night here… On the ground floor is a pleasant kafjeshka, you can dine and have a beer, also book a transfer to the nearest cities… There is a parking for stools. I would not recommend the hotel, but will stay overnight, there are all necessary conditions. As a overnight at once will go.

Is a clean place and chip, but the service is slow, no elevator so if your room is in the fourth floor you will do a lot of exercise, in some rooms ventilator doesn't work very well, and takes a lot of time and effort that the service change your room, but in general is a good place for visiting the city and don't spend a lot in accommodation.

Cheap and clean. You can get good food and staff are friendly.

I really liked it here. Not too pricey but if you ever leave or sit downstairs the tuk tuk drivers hound you relentlessly.

Very good guest house! The people are friendly and the food is fantastic! It's in a good area close to the riverside and everything you will need is nearby. For the price this place is highly recommended.

Fairly standard guesthouse for the region. Enjoyable enough, in a part of town where it's easy enough to walk around. Clean and comfy too.

This is the first guest house I have checked in when I arrived at Cambodia. This is a cheap and friendly place with good staff and cheap beer.

Owner is really funny and friendly, staff can speak english quite good. :) Room is ok with the price under 10$ is acceptable but doesn't have soap : (. Btw, good place in Phnom Penh to stay.

Decent rooms in a part of town that has been skipped over by the development of the past ten years.

Good value for money but far away from anywhere.
