Fantastic place in Rio de Janeiro. Situated in the bottom of a favela which only makes the place more charming. Great view of Copacabana. The best rooms, the best bar and surely the best breakfast you will find on your trip.

Just what the doctor ordered. I stayed 5 days & 4 nights in a private room in the middle of May 2018. I loved everything about this hostel, and it's my go-to place for my future Rio travel. The views were gorgeous, the hostel is spotless, the owners are interesting & friendly, and that staff is attentive. While the location, in or near a favela, may be unusual for many people, I felt quite safe & comfortable there, and I loved the atmosphere and feel of both the hill and Leblon below. The guidebook with suggestions for food & activities was excellent. I highly recommend this place for someone who wants to stay in a top-notch hostel and get to know a treasured and less-known part of Rio.

I had an incredible time at Aquarela do Leme and really loved this hostel. It's located in a safe, local neighborhood just 5 minutes away from the beach and has an amazing view of the ocean. The hostel is clean, airy, bright, and has a beautiful rooftop. Rooms are spacious, beds offer privacy, showers are great and the breakfast is excellent. The atmosphere is also really conducive to meeting other travelers. The family that owns is is also the best and have the best restaurant recs. Thank you Mariele and Thibaut!

This place offers modern and very clean facilities, a perfect location (just a few minutes walk from Copacabana beach) in a safe neighbourhood, delicious breakfast, a large rooftop area with a great view, and a very social vibe.

First you have to climb mid-line, but once you arrive is like at home, better, the managers and their team takes care of you. They folded in four for all your desires. The room and breakfast allow you to approach the day positively. I spent eight super days for cheap at the foot of Copacabana.

An amazing well thought out hostel with the best service and location. So close to the beach (with just a steep hill to walk up-worth it for the views). The dorm rooms are perfect, with your own cubbie hole with a curtain, shelfs, power points, lamp and a comfy mattress and pillow. A towel, soap, sheets and shampoo are provided. The room has air conditioning and you have your own locker which is definitely big enough to fit a big backpack, small backpack and many more. Each dorm has a view from the balcony and the hostel has a great rooftop area to lounge around. The area is safe and the hostel is secure and so clean. Excellent customer service which makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door and the best Caipirinhas! Oh and the breakfast! Wow, just wow! Waffles, fruit, yogurt, good coffee! I will be recommending this place to everyone I know visiting Rio.

Wow. Unarguably the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. Not only are the owners SUPER welcoming and hospitable but the hostel itself is like a Malibu cliff side resort. The building is new and in immaculate condition and the cleanliness is incredible. The neighborhood is perfect as well—close to touristy things and to the beach—a hidden gem. I only regret not staying here more days.

In the first place we were a bit worried about Morro da Babilônia, but as soon as we got there we realized how amazing could be that experience. The hostel has good view, the rooms and chill areas are organized so we can feel at home, and the hosts. Ah… they are really amazing! We also loved the babies!

This is an excellent hostel or basic hotel for families. Everything you need, excellent breakfast, clean and comfortable, super-friendly and helpful staff. Only negative is the walk up the hill from beach level — it's steep and narrow. But worth the great value for rooms here.

Incredible views and new/clean interior. Friendly staff. Easy access to the beach and tourist destinations. Great value. Better than hotel quality at hostel prices! I challenge anyone to find anything bad about this place. Will for sure stay again!

The owners, the breakfast, and the space are all amazing! More importantly, Leme is a seriously under rated neighbourhood.

Really excellent hostel, clean, bright, colorful and welcoming. A home from home with the owners little family and dog. Really cool boat cabin like bed so you feel like you have your own space in the dorms, each one had a storage area, socket, light and shelves. Huge space to cook and eat your own food with the breakfast included. Really cool relaxing shared area to chill out. The area is really nice authentic being a pacified favela, feel completely safe here and will definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

I had the pleasure to stay at Aquarela do Leme for several nights in September and it was a wonderful experience. A very beautiful place decorated with lots of harmony. Top comfort room with solar shower and very nice and interesting hosts. At the entrance of a nice peaceful and gentle community (favela) it will probably also change your opinion about favelas through a proper positive experience. Highly recommended place.

Quiet area, but there are places to party close by in the favela. This is by far the best place to stay in Rio and I highly recommend staying here to anyone.
