Residencial Santa Lucia Apartment

When we arrived the shower didn't have hot water as it was broken, something they should have checked before our arrival. Aircon is in the bedroom and large fan in living area. We had a flat on the 2nd floor. The Wi-Fi cannot be reached from the apartment or is extremely slow so you have to stand on the stairs to use the Wi-Fi. Kitchen is absolutely tiny with minimal chopping space however there are 4 gas cooking rings and we were fine making spaghetti with sauce, steak and veg and breakfast. Kitchen equipment is limited but there is a pan, pot, metal straining spoon, wooden spoon, seive. There was also a microwave and blender. The pans are non-tefal so making crispy potatoes was not possible as they burnt or went soft. Couch is comfortable, TV has only Brazilian channels. Bathroom has space to put toiletry bags. There's a sink to do laundry and drying rack. Surprisingly no washing up soap and sponge was provided which meant we just washed up with soap and the cheapest scourer we found. Not ideal but for a few nights it didn't justify the price. The street is slightly uphill but we always felt safe. 10 minute walk to supermarket and 20 to the beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and an acai cafe across the hotel. The lady working reception there was lovely and an asset to the hotel. The apartment was very clean, we had no cockroaches of insects even with cooking there. Bed comfortable and there's an extra blanket if you're cold. Hanging and shelving space tooo.

Beautiful, clean, and well equipped apartments, Only 2 minutes away from the beach. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful we will surely return!
