Višegrad is a small town located in the eastern part of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of the most famous landmarks in Višegrad is the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This 16th-century bridge was built by the Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan and is a symbol of the town's cultural and historical significance. The bridge is also featured prominently in the novel "The Bridge on the Drina" by Nobel Prize-winning author Ivo Andrić.
