Treck Hostel Hostel

One of my best experiences traveling. A place only attended by IRIS and MATILDA who are passionate about what they do and what they convey to all who come to the Hostel, managing to make you feel at home. The concept is amazing, the atmosphere and unmatched ambience, the services and facilities made your stay something incredible. 20 min you arrive walk to the centre of Ghent, which is ideal to discover the city as well. I loved to stay here. Even though I never return to the same place I visited once, this hotel is definitely the one I'd like to visit again. The room was fine, the tenants were ok from time to time but the reception and bar staff were amazingly friendly. I can only recommend this hostel to everyone#

Holiday feeling near the center of the nicest town of the world.

A stroke of genius inspiration two years ago to transform one-time brick factory into the coolest/funkiest hostel I've ever seen.

Treck is honestly one of a kind. The staff are charming and helpful, the sleeping areas are whimsical and functional. It's true, the location isn't great but the hostel itself more than makes up for it. We had the balcony bed that isn't a caravan — it's a little hut and balcony with curtains. We still felt we had privacy and it was quiet, only the stairs could do with a little oil to keep the noise down ;) We had a wonderful stay, and if we're ever back in Gent, we'll be back at Treck!

Excellent concept, friendly staff and nice ambient. Quiet place to go with family/partner, or to pass some days in the beautiful city of Ghent. Highly recommended!

The hostel is located at the canal, close to the city center (a few minutes by foot). The hostel itself is spacious, unique, and there is a pleasant atmosphere created by the friendly staff and the visitors (mostly travelers it seemed). There is a bar that serves as the breakfast room as well. The breakfast was better than expected. Decent showers and toilets. Good service and an overall good impression.

It's being the best hostel so far! They have everything that you need to have a perfect time. Nice and clean showers, convenient and tasty breakfast, bikes, staff super friendly and helpful. Every single penny its worth it!

Great! My partner and I spent a night in the hostel. The atmosphere was very cozy and the staff really friendly! The locals were clean and the lunch was plentiful!

Very original concept! Perfect if you want to change the usual and very standard setting of hotels or hostels of youth all simple. And it will also awaken perhaps the hippie spirit of some/some.

We wanted to spend a night in an unusual and little known with us in France. We found a campsite urban interior very nice. The staff is top notch and attentive. Pleasant music, full of things to look at, caravans, colourful and friendly. Of health men and women separated. …

I have pco liked to dress your child in hostel hotel. We slept very well despite some noise in the night but after the explanations I understand that there are rounds in the night. I advice therefore this universe for a night or two
I board just a few small finishing can be completed. A bit of storage by by that would be good. A beautiful discovery.

Very original accommodation. Ample facilities with different zones, of rest, room of games, toilets, etc. Good breakfast, shared kitchen well equipped.

At ±15 minutes walking from the center, the location is almost perfect. Receptionists are pretty gentle. Showers have gel and champoo. The trecks are just awesome, we were at the Jungle one, very good.

Worked as a volunteer there for a month. Nice atmosphere and cool people.

The living quarters is very unique, would recommend you to live in one of the caravans. The host is very friendly and there is a common entertaiment room for all.

Site different, original and alternative, something far away but the tram is very comfortable, I recommend it, although some noise during the night because they have a drinking area outside on the terrace.

Stayed two nights with three little kids. None of us wanted to leave. The place is awesome! Little private space and huge shared space: kitchen, play room, patio… Very clean.

What a great and unique hostel — you have to see it for yourself! I stayed in the dorm rooms, they are just what you would need and expect in a hostel, there are clean and sheets are provided. The staff is fantastic, so friendly and always available for questions. You even get a guided tour of the hostel when you check in. The hostel is only a 20 minute walk to the historic centre. The only downside is that showers and bathrooms are far from the dorm room, which is a bit annoying. Bonus: I had to leave very early in the morning, way before breakfast was served, so they left some food out for me, with a note! What an amazing way to start the day of travels, I couldn't believe it :)

This is one of those "something extra" hostels. It might not have five star hotel beds or air condition. But the way they greet you, the possibility of having a beer on the patio without breaking the bank is well worth it. The interior is also very imaginative with a lot of extra details that makes you want to start your own hostel. The bikes are also a plus!

Really enjoyed my two nights here. Indoor camping style hostel. I stayed in the dorms. Breakfast is included and was pretty good. Easy to get to the main part of town, a short walk and a tram ride. My only complaint about the hostel was that the washrooms were so far from the main dorm (down a flight of stairs, across the hostel, up another flight), which was annoying at night.

The concept was very cool, the breakfast was spectacular. Very good place.

A very original youth-hostel. Every room is a caravan. They are all standing indoor in a big hall, so no worries about rainy days. There are caravans for 2, 3 or 4 persons. There's also a dorm. It has a very nice and cosy bar attached to it, where they serve breakfast every morning and sometimes in weekends there can be a small concert! Also very good for a big family-reunion. The staff is also very friendly and helpfull!

Stayed in Jan 2017. Despite the cold weather the building was always warm. The building has an interesting history, which is celebrated by the owners. The showers and toilets were always clean, and the water was good and hot. The whole place had a very relaxed, bohemian feel, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We stayed in the "Bird's nest". It was very comfortable, and a good sized space. We had no problems with noise, and found all our neighbours to be friendly. As a regular visitor to Gent, I would happily stay here again.

It is a warehouse with some caravans inside that are your "suit" the private area of each caravan is separate from each other.
The caravan has linen but no towels, cozy and little intimate.
The bathrooms are common somewhat withdrawn, but clean.
Llevarsé towel and soaps.
Breakfast: Toast, butter, nocilla, cheese, cereals, biscuits, hard-boiled eggs, cheese and fruit. Coffee juice or water.
A place for professional adventurers!

Europe's most expensive hostel? Prices to compare with hotels, standard to compare with youth hostels. Clean and fresh but very loud and impossible to sleep at night. Bed linen included but no towels, nor is there any soap or dryers in the shared bathrooms. This is a place for heavy sleeping (or deaf) hipsters.
