Impossible to have a better location (is in the center of the city) with one of the best views. The staff is super nice even when there is a problem they solved it very fast and with a great attitude. The place is super clean, you can see the girl cleaning it everyday with a lot of care.

Rooms are amazing, love the green aspect of power management. Staff were friendly and helpful, definitely would visit again!

Beautiful building, fantastic location, and friendly and helpful staff. Staying in a large dorm room, beds were spacious, with convenient charging facilities etc. The hostel also regularly arranges tours/tastings which are a lot of fun. Overall, highly recommend. Only caveat; bring some earplugs, as the sound of cars going over the cobblestones outside can be a bit loud at night.

A great Hostel with fantastic staff! They are very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself is in a great location giving you access to all the top things to see in Ghent. The facilities are great, lots of showers and even clothes washing facilities. Breakfast is also good and the view from the windows are amazing! Thank you for my stay!

I'm an American student staying here for two weeks while I'm in Belgium for a study abroad. The study abroad coordinators were the ones that handled booking, but from what I've seen, the hostel staff are very accommodating, and changed the breakfast time to fit our schedule. The breakfast is simple, but good quality croissants and toast. The hostel is well maintained, with clean showers and bathrooms. It was a little bit of a shock to see that both were unisex, but that was just a cultural difference. Overall, I am having a great experience here and would recommend this place to travelers.

Great hostel in Ghent. Could not ask for a better location. I stayed in a private triple so I can’t comment on the large dorm rooms. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of showers and sinks. There is a washer and dryer on site, but it’s almost always being used, so try and use it on off hours if you plan on washing your clothes.

Simply by far and away the best option at Ghent. Super friendly and accommodating staff, EXCELLENT location/views, and extremely cheap. Nothing to complain about, the best hostel experience I've ever had.

Awesome location with perfect view of the bridge and surrounds. Both the bathroom and dorm is very spacious. Shower area can be slipper when wet. Bar area is quite cool to hang out and look out the window with the spectacular view. Staff friendly. Free walking tours available. Kitchen is well labelled. Breakfast is included, which is below average but you can't expect much for the price. All areas are clean. Bring own locks for lockers. Room is secure with card entry. Little atmosphere.

Location of this hostel is prime. Views from the window allow you to take in the main canal and the old Town of Ghent. Staffs are very helpful. Kayak service is reasonably priced and you get a discount if you stay at the hostel.

The location of this hostel is absolitely incredible! You step out of the front door straight onto the streets of Ghent. The beds and showers provided are clean and fucntional but nothing to write home about Would definitely recommend, however.

Pleasant and efficient staff. Well-run hostel. Comfortable lounge/eating area with several electrical outlets. Location is perfect. Good to have electrical outlet at each bed. Could use hooks beside each bed and a mirror in the rooms. I don’t like co-ed toilets and shower rooms.

The views are unbeatable having breakfast lunch and dinner at the hostel turns into something magical. The workers are very kind. And finally the Triple B good nice and cheap quality insurmountable price.

Great location, beautiful area. The service was nice and the lounge was comfortable. This was my first hostel experience. There are quite a few stairs, so keep that in mind, and the lockers were small, about. 5 cublic meters.

I stayed there for a couple of days didn't t know what to expect because it was the first time I stayed in a hostel in Gent. When I arrived it as very easy accesible by public transport what I found a big advantage because it's located at the center of gent. When I entered Hostel Uppelink I recieved a friendly reception staff who explained everything with a big smile. Feeled immediatly at home in the cousy lounge after I dropped my baggage at my shared room, who was very nice and spacous. In the lounge I found some travellers from over the big ocean who were quite surpirised by the friendly people and beatiful city of Gent that is very central located in Belgium and thath's very well connected withall major cities in Belgium and our neighbour contries. With my stay at the hostel there was even a guided tour of Gent included, very well recommended if you want to discover al the special places with it's great history I did even get a taste of the authentic jenenever by my guide. To conclude I was very surpirised by my stay in hostel Uppelink and to quote somebody who's words are fit for this farewell ' I'll be back!

Extremely pretty hostel, built in the old Ghent architectural style. Rooms were a little cramped. View from the room was AMAZING! Clean, well-equipped kitchen available. They also have a cozy bar. Reception open only till 11 or something.

Great people, amazing beers, good breakfast, hot showers with a ton of pressure. Was in a female dorm. Not a party hostel, but evebts are organized. Would recommend. Very chill atmosphere.

Throughout my euro tour, this was the best hostel experience from beginning to end. Conveniently situated amidst ancient beautiful cathedrals, alongside a river, convenient stores around, a greatas youthful vibe in the neighborhood. At the hostel, staff were friendly and helpful. Security is high-tech and each room has lockers available. The building was immaculately clean, and linen is the softest most luxurious I've ever received at a hostel. You do not require a sleeping bag, because each guest receives a pillow, comforter and blanket. Rooms are equipped with heaters. Bathrooms are modern, super clean, comfortable with laundry facilities available. Breakfast was excellent. Beautiful morning and evening walks in the streets around.

It has a picturesque view of Ghent. It's cheap. And staff is very nice. They can speak pretty good English. The common room is awesome!

One of the best hostels I have stayed in. The location is perfect. The hostel is right next to the river in the main center and faces the beautiful churches/buildings across. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The building is not the newest, but it is well kept and historic. My stay was very cozy and comfortable, and it was easy to meet new people. My only suggestion would be to spray something in the bathrooms. They looked clean, but sometimes smelled.

This is one of the best hostel I've ever stayed in. It's very clean and generally very quite. Location is right in the heart of the city with easy walking access to everything. Maybe the only downside is they have their own bar so bringing alcohol into the hostel isn't allowed. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is absolutely one of the "best value for the money" you'll find anywhere. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed in this hostel twice now. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer free walking tours, kayak rentals, and beer tasting. The dorm rooms are clean and large. I have stayed in two different ones. Room 1 has the best view by far. All rooms have lockers, although they are a bit small. Free breakfast in the morning. Showers are nice. Fantastic location with beautiful sights everywhere you turn.

I've stayed here twice as nowhere else was available last minute, but prices for what it is are crazy! Large dorm rooms of up to 8 people. Showers were good, hot water, lots of space and fairly clean although obviously the floor gets very wet in peak times. The breakfast was adequate but quite basic. The bar isn't the cheapest and they have their own brand versions of things like coke.

A perfect location — it's hard to imagine anywhere better. The building is full of character (including the creakiest staircase ever! ) and is well run by super-friendly staff. Security seems pretty good, there was always hot water available and the Wi-Fi worked fine. The lounge area was comfortable and the whole place is kept clean.
Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

The best hostel I´ve ever been in. Great location in the very center of gent, lounge room and even the rooms are having excellent view. Everything is clean and cosy, but rooms are not small and are very comfortable. Breakfast included in price is simple bud fine. Wi-Fi is working in whole house and staff are nice and amazing. Love gent and love this place!

Beautiful hostel located in the best place of Ghent overlooking the cathedral from the room. Economic place, very nice, with an old design and some more modern touches. 100% recommended.

We did the Freetour the day we left and we were able to leave the backpacks there without problem, and the freetour is fantastic, we played Fabio as a guide and makes you want this city.
In summary 100% recommended, if I go back to Ghent, I'll be back there.
