I had a great time at Hostel 47 — clean bathrooms, nice garden, cozy dining area, excellent location … and very handsome boss :-)

This Hostel is very comfortable. Host is very friendly. He show some place in the neighborhood and provide maps. Breakfast is included. Options include: bread, egg, cheese, yogurt, cereal, milk, juice, tee, coffee. But there are many mosquitos in the room.

Nice hostel, the beds and the sanitary facilities were good, everything was clean.

I really enjoyed my time at Hostel 47. It is the perfect walking distance to the train station and to the center of the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable and safe. The whole hostel is very modern, and the staff is very nice. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone! They even have private rooms available if that is what you're looking for. You can't go wrong here!

Beautiful place, friendly and cozy. It's the cheaper in Gent. There's a new garder where to have a BBQ and chill with a beer and friends!

Lovely interior — a little bit modern, a little bit minimal, a little bit feeling of an old Flemish house. But, most importantly, the owner! Naturally friendly, nice to talk to. There is everything a nice hostel needs to have.

This is the first time that i'm in a hostel. We booked a privet room for 2 people and it was not cheap, you could also stay at a cheap hotel for the money. The rooms, shared bathroom and toilets where clean. The shared kitchen was ok, but the egg boiler and toaster where dirty. Pros: relaxed atmosphere, cook your own food, have talk to other people and has a garden where you can BBQ. Cons: expensive, make you own bed, kitchen could be cleaner. Overall good experience and would do it again.

The best place to stay in gent! Youri is the best and the hostel is awesome!

Really nice hostel. It is clean, well organised with the rooms, toilets and showers. Breakfast does the job, no limit of what you can have. Easy 5-10 min walk into town. And parking costs only 3.50 euros a day. Take note that 3 euros is added to the bill as tourist tax, so it costs 27 not 24 even although booking, com says 24 is the final price. I have stayed in better but also a hell of a lot worse. And will definitely be back again this year!

My wife, sister-in-law and I stayed here in October 2014 and had a wonderful time. Ghent is a lovely city full of life and atmosphere. Hostel 47 is a great choice of place to stay. It was very comfortable, clean and well organized; close to the historical town centre, easy public transport. The host is extremely friendly and helpful. We intend to visit again when get another chance. Thanks for such a warm welcome.

Amazing hostel! Modern interior, very clean, free kitchen to use anytime, awesome breakfast included, good location near the train station (Dampoort) and a very friendly staff make this hostel one of the best I've ever been in Europe. certainly recommended.

Best Hostel i've been so far. Modern interior, clean and very friendly. And above all it even offers a kitchen where you're free to cook.
