Perfect for a night and a breakfast! Would not recommend a longer vacation here. (also lots of noise from trains, cause hotel is next to train tracks. )

Lovely very cozy hotel with large rooms and really comfortable beds. Very nice staff and willing to help at all times. There was no problem with the language.
For putting something wrong, it may be a little far from the center of Ghent but nearby you have the station and several tram stops.

Beautiful family owned place. Great owners. Very good breakfast spread. Employees are all so friendly and helpful. I'll be going back there next time.

Excellent! is the word for Astoria Hotel Gent. Coming as a hippatient from the hospital to recover, I met the wonderful employees who really take care of you. I got al the (very quick) professionel help I needed before and during my stay, with caring and loving attitudes. Astoria is a nice modern hotel which is great if you want a peaceful hotel, both inside the hotel it is very quiet and also around the hotel. The owners take good care of the fact that nobody will be disturbed by noise. Nice clean rooms with big badrooms, very pleasant to be in. I am impressed by the very kind and professionel employees in the reception. Great communication in english, french, dutch:) The breakfast is great, with a lot of homemade food, also adjust to people who have food allergics. The little garden is just the great "finishing touch", lovely and peaceful. This is the kind of hotel you always want to come back to!

I stayed in one of the smaller rooms for one night. I found it very cozy and comfortable at the right price. Check in/out was very easy and I opted to pay for the breakfast which was well worth the 10 euro. It's also close to the train station which is very convenient.

Basic room was a bit small, but adequate for a base. Staff very helpful. Continental breakfast very good. 5 minutes walk from the train station, but a tram ride for the historic part of town. Can highly recommend the Gent City Card for entrance to lots of places and unlimited tram rides, which you need from this hotel.

I've met and stayed at many hotels before, but this small, fine hotel is now on top. It has only 3 stars, but it is worth 5 stars. The attention to detail and the kindness of the staff is incredible. It just surpasses a lot. Whether it's reception or room equipment, it's great. Everyone is friendly and the guest is the centre of attention. Many complain about the railroad and the noise. We experienced Ghent and were so tired that we didn't hear a railway. We love this hotel and thank the staff.

Lovely place to stay. The staff and owners could not do more to make you feel welcome. Only a few minutes walk to the tram stop and train station.

Great place, friendly people, nice room, minibar, koffie /tea facility nice bathroom with a shower cabinet so small it almost makes for a tourists attraction but clean and fully functional, the hotel is located next to the train tracks but you hardly hear the trains from the streetside located rooms would definitely recommend.

It's ok, they are trying hard. My room was a little strange but more than adequate. Breakfast was super strange and watching people come in and seeing the look on their faces once they saw what was on offer for breakfast was kinda priceless. As I said they are trying they just haven't quite got it perfect but who has.

Excellent hospitality and a great location for the station and all the sights. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed and it has a delicious and varied buffet breakfast which rivals much bigger 5* hotels. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in Gent.

Very friendly staff, excellent value for money, tasteful interiors and an exquisite breakfast for this price range with delicious homemade breads and the tastiest, homemade yogurt of all time!

Nice quiet location and really lovely staff.

Horrible experience. We were very unhappy because the bed was way too soft, this is fine to some people but we woke up with very sore backs. Plus there was no shower curtain, which created water everywhere. When we complained about this, the receptionist told us this is for hygenic reasons and they don't mind when the floor get completely wet. (But of course they don't care that your stuff gets soaked either…)
It got even worse when we entered the breakfast area, where a lady asked if we booked breakfast. Then we said: no we would just like two coffees. She said: that's fine, have a seat, you don't have to pay for it.
On the checkout they demanded we paid for the two coffees. Which we of course didn't agree on but then he said: "just doing my job".
Never again.

A clean 3 star Hotel. The Breakfast is sufficient and good. The rooms in the house was quiet (no noise from the S-Bahn).

Nice Hotel. Unfortunately, there is no Elevator. Despite the proximity to the train tracks with running trains, I was able to sleep well. Large bathroom with bath — top.

A beautiful hotel situated close to the train station. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak many different languages, including English. Guides of the city are also provided on arrival. The rooms are neat and clean and extremely comfortable. The breakfast area has a beautiful view of the garden. Will definitely use this hotel again in future. Free Wi-Fi is also provided at the hotel.

One of the nicest hotels I've had the pleasure of staying in. The staff are very friendly and helpful; they are also very accommodating to international tourists who speak English. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The free Wi-Fi (no strings attached) was fast and reliable. The breakfast was a light European-style breakfast. Tasty and fresh food every morning.

Super Hotel. Very nice room and the Breakfast was super!

We stayed there for one night. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were a tad small but nice, comfy and clean. The bathroom was great as well. Would recommend it for a mid-budget stay.

The setting is serene, with a lovely garden. However, the rooms are a bit cosy. For over €100 per night, I expected a bit more. Still, not a bad place to stay in, if you're looking for a quiet getaway.

Very nice staff. The room is heated but it is much to strong. And not adjustable. Breakfast a bit poor. Otherwise, a class Hotel with very nice rooms.

The room was a lovely combination of vintage style, cuteness and quality. This, together with the very friendly welcome and quiet location, created a B&B-like atmosphere, while benefitting from the amenities of a hotel. Would have loved to stay longer.

Comfortable Hotel at the station,. Good + accommodation in the rooms, cleanliness etc. A lower level the accommodations in the annex but no problem. A little disappointed for the payments issue. The possibility of free cancellation had expired from 10 hours when cause the facts of Brussels have announced the cancellation of the booked flights. Unfortunately having claimed equally the payment with only small discount, you are looking for another flight to avoid losing money by claiming a high cost for this trip in this period. They have requested the full payment of 7 days before arrival.

Nice and cozy, convenient especially for the station and public transport.
