Good service, good rooms, good food.

Great place near central historical sites in Vienna. Their breakfast and lunches are noteworthy. Their Restaurant personnel were kind, but slow service.

Really comfortable very clean and very friendly staff.

Great location. Close to public transportation. And close to Belvedere.

The staff from the restaurant and the lobby bar like from the last of the last kebab imbiss in the suburt of the town, rude, unfriendly, extremely wasted looking. (espetialy the waiter in the restaurant! )

There are thieves in this hotel. I was having breakfast in the hotel, when I was taking my food someone took my handbag and can’t find it anymore and no compensation will be provided from the hotel. My friend told me that she was sleeping in her room in the hotel a man just opened her room and when found out that she was inside, he left immediately and said housekeeping.

Not your typical European-sized of rooms; it's pretty big and beds are really comfy. Rooms have tub, safe, and work table, fridge with mini bar, and a single high-chair. The only thing I wish they could improve is an in-room coffee/tea amenities and iron and board. Btw, the location of this hotel is amazing. Walking distance towards the city.

Buffet breakfast was more than sufficient; very pleasant and accommodating staff; great location for city center. Lobby furniture was showing age and a bit worn and tattered. Could not get the air temp cooler in our room. Enjoyed being able to use our Gold status in the Marriott Rewards program. Lovely perquisite. Thank you.

A very large normal Hotel a good point that has a pool and a garden where they usually do BBQ. In front of the hotel there is a beautiful church impossible to let see is beautiful. The hotel has very good connection to the center it is possible to walk or by public transport you have it next door.

Stellar hotel in a fairly good location in Vienna. The rooms are spacious, clean, & updated. The lobby area is very large & there is a restaurant right there as well. There were events in the lobby both evenings I stayed at the hotel, & it was a little loud. I also thought the pool area could was lacking. However, the breakfast here was phenomenal! Their made-to-order omelet station was fantastic & I ate two waffles because they were the best I've ever had. I want to go back to this hotel just for the breakfast!

We stayed there for one week and everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Our family suite was spacious and well-appointed with a view of the beautiful Orthodox Church outside our window! The room service was always prompt and the food was delicious! Salsa night at the lobby was a bonus for my husband and I to have a night out within the hotel. Four stars because they only remembered to put the coffee/tea/kettle amenities on the Thursday of our stay and we did not ask because we assumed it's not part of their room amenities. No extra pillows and blankets were waiting even if they knew the reservation was for a family of four. The welcome note and chocolates more than made up for it and Housekeeping was accommodating when requested. Still highly recommended!

Great hotel with nice and clean rooms, but not very big. The air conditioner is effective but very noisy. A gym is also available, a sauna for guests of the hotel, a clothes shop, a restaurant and a bar. The breakfast is excellent and with a very large choice (if it is not included costs €28 more). Nice but slightly pricey.

It started with checking in, no room available. We were invited for a drink while waiting for a room, so that was ok.
The room was nice, clean, great beds but tiny bathroom with a shower in the bath installed, not very handy, standing in small bath not without danger, so not ok
Friendly staff and very nice coctails.
Sleeping is not so easy because of very bad noise dampening of the room door and the traffic, despite being on the 4th floor.
Also missed some coffee/chocolate options in the room.

Easy to reach the tram and travel 3 stops to the centre. Clean and tasteful decor. Staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent. Gym well equipped.
Small negatives for us would be no tea and coffee in the room and Wi-Fi only at an additional cost — should be free in my mind.

Very nice place to stay with reasonable prices. There's gym and small pool area available to guests which are usually not overcrowded. Rooms are nice and taken care of, the lamp at the head of the bed with Imperial Riding School's logo is absolutely lovely. For 3 people it did feel a bit like the room was not too spacious — however, it did not create any problems. Bar downstairs has variety of soft and alcohol drinks as well as food. Flaw: The amount of money to be paid up front as a guarantee was frozen, then charged — it took over 2 weeks unfortunately to let the amount to be unfrozen from h account, which was not too good of an experience. I am hoping this does not happen to other guests or myself in the future when and if we will decide to come back to Vienna.

The room is very good and the noise of the road traffic windows closed building opposite to the reception continental breakfast correct staff pleasant language spoken German and English.

Five Star Hotel in Vienna has sauna continental breakfast very good attention.

Very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. We did have access to the lounge due to our status with Marriott. The lounge was very well cared for. One small thing: our room had a hard time getting cool (and it wasn't hot outside). Was a bit frustrating — and we were give a fan to use during our stay. Not ideal, but that did help.

The hotel is very nice and top, however the kitchen deserves only four stars!

This is my first time staying at this Marriott. I usually stay in the one closer to the city center. So, I wasn’t sure how this one would turn out. I was pleasantly surprised. From the friendly staff to the very nice rooms. And, the price is very reasonable. And, right outside my window is a beautiful Orthodox Church. Last, the hotel is located within walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Overall, a very good hotel.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Get there in good time to sit, or simply climb another set of stairs to another bank of seats. The exercises are wonderful to watch, with trainers helping rider and horse to learn some of the intricate skills that go into the performances. To hear the occasional commentary more clearly sit to the left of the centre as you go in — otherwise, simply enjoy the power and nobility of the horses. Note — rarely do they perform the leaps or standing exercises on the mornings, but we did see elaborate trots and manoeuvres.

Our daughter had her birthday while we stayed in the hotel. We found cakes when we came back from our own celebration. We were so pleasantly surprised by the gesture!

The reception was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very old for the quality of the TV chain more than 10 years ago, would not recommend, would not return.

They do not have Wi-Fi in the rooms, they make you pay €5 for 1 hour of intenet. The rooms are very outdated and the pictures on the Internet do not correspond at all with what is the hotel actually. For the price you have I would not recommend it.

Lobby is nice but rest of the hotel is very dated. The rooms are comfy. Hardly any meal choices for vegetarians or vegans. Good location.

Expensive hotel already in the years. You can see that it was a really nice hotel in the past, but the rooms have not been renovated for a long time. Also you have to pay extra for every little thing — breakfast 29 euro, pay TV extra, pay extra WLAN, drinks from the mini bar…
This makes other hotels much more customer friendly.

Great hotel. Staff were very friendly. The room was perfect; the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast buffet in the morning was delicious as well. I thought no free Wi-Fi in the room would bother me but it turned out to be a great excuse to go out into the lobby/bar and mingle. Also, no kettle/coffee in the room is remedied by the coffee and tea machine they put out in the lobby at 6 am. Thanks for a great stay.

Elegant hotel, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, very rich breakfast, with juices, coffee and hot drinks from the vending machine and on request from the bar. Sweet part with waffle, with pancakes and toast, salted part with chef available for omelettes and bacon.

Service was excellent in all areas, reception, foyer bar and restaurant. Although modern and well aerviced the room was only average but this is probably due to the fact it is an older building. Overall it was very good and I would stay there again.

Hotel is decent 15 minutes walk from the center of Vienna. On your way to the center, you will pass by Belvedere. Staff are friendly. Food also OK. Near by is a beautiful Russian Orthodox church. Hotel has a garden, where you can enjoy a drink and even an area for sun bathing.

Elegant, very rich buffet breakfast (if included in the package), no free Wi-Fi. To go downtown you need to move by public transport (tram or metro still nearby).

An ideal blend of history (you can still see the saber marks on the walls of the common areas that used to be the training areas for Austria's cavalry in the 1800s), location (near the city center and around the corner from a train station), and price. The breakfast is quite a spread, and included in several room rates. Rooms were large, especially by Euro standards, and had decent views over the city.

For this category of hotel I waited another level of kitchen. But Rollins are nicer clean, king size bed, and other factors was OK.

Beautiful hotel located a mile off center of town. Very nice rooms but not glamorous. Very historical site. Friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent hotel. Splurge on the initial club room for all day service and enormous intertidal club rooms with full separate bath and shower and towel warmer. Impeccably clean.

As a vegan there are absolute no options on the room service menu. Asked for a club sandwich and it came with only tomatoes inside and a cream. Terrible taste and very cold. Would never go back.

It's ok hotel, but probably you should find one wich could be better. It is ok but I would never repet it.

First of all the stuff is really friendly! The hotel is clean and close to the city center. It is well integrated in the public transportation system of Vienna. Unfortunately the windows of our room won't open and the AC wasn't strong enough to cool down the room.

I was with my 6 years old daughter in this hotel for a weekend. Booked the hotel cuz is it close to the city and cuz of the pool and big garden. When we checked in, I have to change the room for couple times, cuz first we got just one bed and second time we got a room, which smelled after smoking even the floor was non smoking! Ok room was ok, new furniture but around in the hall you can see, that the hotel is not new at all. When you want to visit the big privat garden, you have to go thru the pool?!?!?! WHY? There is everything wet, on the wet floor you almost falling down and in the big garden there is so many people, that you have not even chair to sit or lay down. Pool — well definitely NOT for kids and very VERY full. A lot of people, really ALOT! Around the pool inside there is a few chairs to sit, but even on the chairs was no people at all, everywhere was towels. When they took by check in my CC and after that I checked my bank account, they charged me 105 euro more than the room costet for two night! I was very surprised and disappointed. If they have to do that, then I think that they should inform their customers about that. I stil dont have the money back on my account even is almost week and have to contact my bank because of this. I am very disappointed about this hotel and will definitely NOT recommend it to anyone I know.

My wife and I stayed here only two nights mid-May. We arrived by car on a very rainy afternoon during rush hour. The hotel sign is very easy to miss (black with small lettering), so had to double back to the entrance. The parking garage is large and the spaces were adequate for our station wagon. Front desk staff were friendly and fluent in English. Our room was on the second floor in their additional building, and was clean and quiet. We took advantage of their happy hour in the cafe downstairs. Finger food buffet and lower-end wines, which were fine. Easy 40 minute walk to Stephansdom.

Not only is Wi-Fi dreadfully expensive, it's also only available in the lobby. Terrible.

Dreadful. The name is completely misleading — it is nowhere near the city centre (well over 1/2 hour walk) and nothing to do with the riding school. A bland business hotel with no charm in an annonymous and inconvenient location. Don't believe anyone giving it 4 or 5 stars in these reviews — they're probably employed by the hotel. Believe me, this is one to avoid if you are a tourist.

We spent five days here in May 2013. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and air-conditioned, the bathroom modern with excellent plumbing. We were never disturbed by noise from the corridor or adjoining rooms. Breakfast offered a wide selection of delicious food, and helpful waiters. Staff were always obliging and polite. The hotel is easy to reach from the airport, a few minutes walk from the S-Bahn station at Rennweg, with frequent tram services into the City centre. The only negative was the lack of Wi-fi access in the room, though the signal was very good in the public area on the ground floor. We would definitely stay here again.

If you are a tourist that's looking for a special place to stay, absolutely do not come here. If you want to stay at a place that's comparable to a 60 USD (80 Euro) a night hotel in the states, this is the place you want to go and it's going to cost you 155+ Euro per night. There is absolutely nothing special about this hotel. The staff was meh to say the least, a smile was even hard to come by. There is absolutely no night life that's not a 15 minute walk (Good luck with that after a couple drinks or why not just pay the cab driver 10 more Euro each way). There literally nothing to do around here other then Stad park which takes 10 minutes to walk through. Every place we have been to so far in Vienna and Prague has offered free internet (As Larrs would say, it's free on the TV, via wire or Wi-Fi at the Novotel Hotel which was BADASS) but they CHARGE you here! I accessed internet via my cell phone in the lobby (because it was Wi-Fi and that's where the bar was) and they charge 39 Euro for 3 nights! (This was the length of the stay so If figured I would bite the bullet). I had a couple drinks, since there is nothing to do around here anyway, and proceeded to my room. I plugged into the internet (no Wi-Fi) access in the rooms and they needed an additional 19 euro for a device! WHAT A TOTAL RIP OFF! I highly recommend to stay at the Hotel Novotel Wien City.

Almost nothing worked during our visit. The complimentary champagne was not deployed and has found the way to our room even at the second prompt. That booked 4-course dinner turned out to be as a 4-course buffet self service food, what we like to have dispensed with. On the second day the room was not made for the Imperial Coronation then. The breakfast was revealed on the dirty tablecloths simply. What a pity. At the check out was also no interest on our satisfaction there, which has to give a rounded picture. What a pity. But Vienna was absolute top.

The rooms in the main body of the hotel but in the years to come and do not meet the usual standard hotels of this category: tiles in the bathroom are loose and unpleasant smells like cleaning products. There is an updated annex "Imperial Club" nice and new rooms. Big downside here: the air conditioning can be switched off and continues even at night noisily.
