Nice hotel. Comfortable and very near the main train station. Ideal from the airport using the fast train service. Situated in a charming alley with pubs. Yes I would go again.

The Staff are very friendly and on one of our days out we returned to find a bottle of wine and a lovely letter from management of the hotel wishing us a very happy anniversary. This was a very special gesture to us as this showed us the caring nature of this hotel. The hotel is really lovely and close to shops.

The Hotel is located right in the center of the city. Beautiful location with everything u need to have right around the hotel area. Located just about 10 min away is the Main train/bus/metro station called Wien Mitte. Shopping center/park/transport/cafe/bars/restaurants all is were near by. It also has direct metro lines to the Airport if I am not mistaken. On the first day in the city while we were just roaming around my kids stroller broke. I came back to the hotel since it was already late evening and stores were all closed. I went to reception for help. And boy such amazing friendly staff. There was this sweet receptionist VICKY. She actually spent about half hour to solve my problem with me and find places where I could buy strollers. Had she been not there my days in vienna would be dreadful. Have stayed in lot of 4-5 Stars too so I can vouch that the staff in this particular Hotel of Mercure is equivalent to that. Breakfast spread is good. More Vegetarian options compared to my previous experience. Rooms were very very spacious. My stay here was SUPERB. Highly recommend this place. Please ignore the messy room because I had taken the pics while checking out Staff: 10/10 Food: 8/10 Beach and Pool: N. A Amenities: N. A Location: 10/10 Rooms: 8/10

Edit: Just to respond, we did alert the desk to the problem and they told us that unfortunately it is unusually hot during our stay (our tour guide alerted us that this is a common line that is used in the area). Only after asking for a fan were we provided one. With the desk fan we were only slightly less sweaty during the night since you were only able to circulate the hot alley air. Breakfast buffet was included with our stay (not sure if it was part of a package deal or not), rooms are pretty nice, shower is tiny (I'm 6'3") and have trouble not bumping the corner shower doors open, but most important, at least for me, the AC is worthless. While staying here it was hitting 93°F during the day and 80's overnight. It's incredibly hard to fall asleep when all you can do is lay in bed and sweat. Just for reference, I keep my house at 70°F, AC has been running full blast the whole time we've been here with very little difference although you can feel cold air coming out.

WATCH OUT BUDGET TRAVELLERS — EXPENSIVE BREAKFAST! We ended up staying one night in the hotel, and up until checkout we were very impressed and had a lovely time! However, the checkout overshadowed the experience, which is why I am writing this review to tell you. When we first checked in, the woman at the front desk told us our room was ready, and we could go in and then have breakfast—we didn't realize there was a breakfast and were very impressed! We put our stuff down and went downstairs for a breakfast. The next morning, we went down for breakfast again, and the women who was checking the room numbers said "Oh, I don't see you on the list. Can you write your name down here on this piece of paper, and I will go and check? " So I printed my name down neatly, and she said she would come find us if there was a problem. She didn't and we went on with our day. Then when we went to check out, the woman at the front desk said "That will be €64 for the breakfasts. " We were astounded—never once had they told us there was a charge. The woman argued with us, but we were so shocked at the horrible surprise of it, we refused to pay—completely unfair. She should have told us there was a charge! Then she said "Well, you signed for it. " which I corrected her and explained the other woman had simply asked for my name, and it wasn't my signature and she hadn't told us we would have to pay if we signed.

Great Viennese hotel. I love him very much! Cozy, clean, quiet. Friendly staff. The room has everything you need. I recommend it to everyone!

Central but quiet location; Beautiful hotel; We had a very spacious suite including free drinks, tea and coffee in the minibar. The staff were very friendly.
The bed was too hard for our taste and the bathroom could have been a little cleaner.

Pleasant, polite, and knowledgeable front desk clerks make your stay there smooth. As for the restaurant, you must enjoy the patio for breakfast or a pleasant dinner. The breakfast is delicious and varied, featuring good coffee and all health choices you would expect.

Great location, very friendly staff, a pleasant restaurant with a winter garden — an unusually friendly attitude to russians.

Good small hotel not far from the Mall Vien Mitte and CAT (fast train to the airport)

Rooms are a bit dated, but in ok condition and clean. The location is good, close to Wien Mitte, with walking distance to most things. The breakfast buffet was a bit overpriced at 16 eur for a selection of hot and cold food, but none of it really anything special, but still on an acceptable level. The "fitness center" is a joke, with only one machine for non-cardio exercise, and a real monster at that.

Very quiet and clean room. Only small problem people do speak French.

Typical, quiet so you hear the birds from you room and reminds old time in Vienna or southern Germany.

We just walked away from this hotel and I have to say it left me a really nice memory. Its location is nothing short of strategic. Located just 300 meters from the station and the Stop CAT (City Airport train, which is the train that in 16 minutes takes you directly to the airport without making stops with a cost of €12 for one way and €20 A/R) and about 1 km from the old town. The hotel is located in a beautiful driveway about 50m away. From the main road. It is easy to find it as there is the sign directly on the building at the entrance of the driveway. The staff are very kind and always willing to solve any problems they may present themselves. We had the check out at 10am and the plane in the evening, the receptionists kindly let us deposit our bags and then take them back in the afternoon without making any kind of problems. The breakfast is really well structured with many dishes especially for those who do American breakfast. Sweet and salty in abundance (although of course the salty prevails) juices, jams, croissants, salami, cheeses, various types of bread, eggs, bacon etc… The halls are often crowded but immediately you can find a table to sit. The hotel in the complex is well cared for, the rooms very clean, well insulated from external noises and equipped with all the comforts. Also near the hotel there are several shops, bars, tobaccos, MC Donalds etc. What about if we come back to Vienna we will definitely stay here.

For Vienna a very good hotel. Were there from Tuesday to Friday. The furnishings fit in with Vienna. Everything was clean and tidy! The subway station was not far away and even the road to the city was quite fix.

The city centre and many tourist attractions are within walking distance.
Parking is available in the car park but quite expensive. But this is the case in Vienna.

The hotel is in a good location not far from the historic center of town and a large shopping mall. The hotel is quite atmospheric, is decorated in the style of old Europe, wooden lacquered furniture, brownish-zeolane gamma, but old already, the bathroom is a bit worn out.

Not too far from CAT. But do not walk in the main entrance of you have lots of stuff or luggage instead use the side streets as cobbled stone entrance is long and difficult. The suite duplex was quite large. Family and baby friendly with free cot. The stairs in room 305 creaked. Wifi was free but dropped out a bit. Restaurants was average but understaffed as customers had to wait and wait especially for food and the bill. Nice of them to allow us to use the gym/spa to freshen up but I doubt the room was occupied upon our early arrival. Two supermarkets on both sides of the hotel.

Beautiful place to stay! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, and the staff is really nice. Also the location is perfect as it is close to the city centre and it takes 15 minutes walking to the Hofburg. For me it was totally worth the money!

Peoole of resraurants part are mostly great, but room cleaning and the specific ppl of shift in front desk who deals with the problems was poor experience.

A little pricey, but all in all, worth it. It's in a cute little side street avenue that feels romantic, and the room felt very cozy. The shower was a little dirty in the corners, but that was it and it didn't bother us too much.

Very nice hotel close to the city centre. In the nearest are a lot of cafes, restaurants and pubs. Rooms are comfortable and cozy. You can feel here the atmosphere of Vienna.

It is a good hotel, very well located and very comfortable. The Biedermeier style ambience is very well achieved.

The location and overall look of the hotel is great however the rooms are quite dated and since we stayed on the top floor the roof was slanted in the shower area so had to duck the whole time while showering. If they give you a top floor and you're a tall person please ask them to give you another room.

This hotel is a bit old, the rooms are quiet and not central but there is a metro stop, relatively close by.

As a basis for a shopping day very well suited. For relaxing afterwards, a well-filled sauna with sun loungers is provided. Warm welcome, culinary oasis. No wish remains open.

Predominately a tourist hotel with bus loads arriving daily. Breakfast is self-serve with multiple choices however identical daily. Hard working wait-staff during dinner, lovely outdoor dining garden. Rooms are cozy (small) and hallway carpetss need replacing. Have stayed here many times. Staff is polite but not empowered. Reasonably priced.

Could do with a renovation and a bit of modernisation. AirCon made a lot of noise but no real effect on the temperature.

My double room was, unfortunately, under certain tolerances small. But stylishly furnished. The shower would have to necessarily re-grouted. In the Breakfast area, the till in the Bar is enough is a noticeable Smell in the air. Probably still from the times in which Smoking is allowed there. The padding would have to be renewed urgently. Moreover, in the hallway outside my room very loudly. Until midnight ran, and cried, children and adults of a large family, the two rooms had occupied, in the corridor around. During the Breakfast, especially on weekends, there were many things (for example, bread) quickly and were not immediately refills. Positive is the friendly staff. Unfortunately is the Hotel from my point of view, it is not recommended.
