The Krimml Waterfalls can be reached on foot within 30 minutes via a panoramic hiking path. The centre of Krimml is a 10-minute walk away.

Reviews of Panoramahotel Burgeck
Been two times in the hotel. First time we came for one night and on the second time we returned for the whole weekend. There are many Zimmers in Krimml but only one Panoramahotel. The owner was very nice, it seemed like he remembered us (been 4 years) and gave us, since we asked, the same room we had before (room suitable for 6 and we were 2) with great view. The room was clean, the beds (we tried them all) were very comfortable. The view from the room was crazy. It's important to notice that the hotel does not have a lift, so if you have physical problems, it might be a bit difficult to get to your room. The breakfast was good so it seemed like everyone had something to eat. If the weather is good, breakfast at the balcony of the restaurant is possible and might be a great idea. The hotel standing on the highest point of Upper Krimml so as your car has some difficulties to climb the road, also you will have the same issue to deal. BUT, if you want, there are 2 bikes to rent (free) or you can go strait through the main road to the city (about 15-20 minutes). If you are willing to walk around the nature, Burgeck is a great point to start. Only 30 minutes from the waterfalls and also you can hike different roads inside the forest. Once we came, the hotel gave us a card that gave us a great discount on some attractions around and some were even free with this cards. If you are willing to eat your dinner in the hotel, it's possible and even recommended.

Stayed one night here last week. Amazing views from room and wonderful view of Krimml waterfall from dining area/breakfast room. Room and bathroom very clean, beds comfy. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. A steep up hill walk from bus stop especially with cases, not sure if we could have called for a lift up though. Would stay again and recommend. A great starting hotel to explore the valley and waterfall. Thank you.
