Obertauern is also fantastic in summer and for hiking — still — an insider tip: mountain panorama, very well signposted hiking trails for every taste, alpine meadows and countless rivers. Alternatively, you can easily reach the mountain or Hochalmbahn with the Grünwaldkopfbahn and Hochalmbahn. In case of bad weather quickly down again.
The Hotel Lungau is one of the few hotels in Obertauern open in summer: warm welcome, friendly care and excellent food (served with great attention to detail). Be sure to join the barbecue evening. Meat of the best quality and excellently marinated. Side dishes (especially homemade sauces) are top. Simply select from the refrigerator and 😉 on the already preheated griller
For hiking you get first-hand tips and on request a hiking snack can be put together.
