Beautiful overall in a magnificent setting ❤️

Beautiful hotel, stunning setting, right on the lake, and the spa is one of the best (not so sure about the policy of having to be naked, but I guess that’s my British modesty speaking! ) would definitely visit again, but next time I would ask for one of the nicer bigger rooms with balcony and lake view!

Stayed at this hotel for four days! It was lovely! In the restaurant everyone was very eager and friendly but one has to be mentioned in particular: Philipp should get a special praise!
He is always in a good mood and brings momentum to the people!

The staff is very not in line with the House, which is a great pity. Disappointment ranges from check-in, housekeeping, service to check-out. The kitchen is the exception and really nice and good! The rest of the staff should be working quickly, because this is not an advertisement for such a beautiful and traditional hotel.

Went for drinks and cake. Great lakeside location. Bars and lounges are large with great views over lake. Cakes very yummy.

What an amazing place. Absolutely loved the decor. Went in the afternoon for some lunch, whilst taking in the wonderful views. Delicious food and very friendly staff.

The location is great. But everything else is bad. The staff are not friendly, mostly rude if requested anything. Except most of the receptionists, they were kind and helpful. The rooms are dirty with poor furniture and amenities. The hotel is cheap, not even 3 stars, let alone 5 stars! Above all of this, the price is very expensive compared to much better hotels in Salzburg and Vienna. I would not recommend it. And I will never come back again to this hotel.

It is a luxurious hotel in a prime location overlooking the lake. It’s a truly “Grand” hotel.

Amazing view and nice service but bad beds.

So the hotel is extremely over priced for the quality of the building in the first place and second and for most for the quality of the service. The staff need to learn how to smile as they don’t. The hotel staff nickeland dime the guest pretty much for everything. I paid over $2200 for three night for my two bed room unit and when attempted to use the Nesspresso coffee machine, simply it didn’t work and consumed the only two (2) capsules they place in my room. When I called down the front desk guy come up to my room thinking I don’t know how to use the machine. When I assured him that I have a similar machine in the US. He proceeded that if we give two more replacement capsules we will have to charge you for it. I am thinking really after paying this much (over $750 per night) you want to come to my room and look at me like I am an idiot who doesn’t know how to use the machine (two simple steps FYI). And you talk about charging me a one Eruo for the capsule?!
It was raining yesterday and I approached the front desk to borrow an umbrella and they asking me for 20 Euro deposit for each umbrella!
I can go on and on but if you come form the US or anywhere like UAE or KSA or anywhere that knows customer services this will it be the place to stay. The pictures online looks much much better than the quality of the hotel. I am extremely disappointed and will not stay here again. If I cancel today after the first day they will still charge me for all three days.

In summer you will have hard time because there is no air condition in the hotel… otherwise the location is perfect and the staff really nice and helpful…

Cheaters! Thery tried to give me a lower category room than what I paid for. I booked directly from their website where they show each room category pictures and differences, so I booked a certain room then when I checked in they gave me another room. I went to the reception and they tried to convince me that this is the same room then I proved to them through their website that this is a different room than what’s shown on the website. They tried to convince me with a slightly better room claiming that it’s an upgrade while it’s actually a lower category room, I asked for refund because they didn’t give me what they promised then they accepted to give me the room that I booked in the first place. What a service?! Disaster trying to cheat customers! The rooms were very very very outdated not even worth a hundred euros. Old furniture old building etc… The hotel is also waaaaaaay over priced Breakfast is bad too. I won’t recommend at all to anyone. The only good thing is the view from the room balcony.

Nice view but that’s all, because staff is not welcoming at all with the guests of the terrasse. Service is really poor. And cake wasn’t fresh.

Were at Pinzga Bräu to end our holiday. The location is a dream and you can sit right by the lake and enjoy the view. The tables, of course, stand very tight, as is usually the case in such locations, in order to accommodate the maximum of the tables with lake views. Unfortunately, with the result that someone is constantly jerking up at your armchair or you have to get up yourself so that people can get up from the side table. The table, although it had been empty for a long time (we had been sitting on the promenade beforehand and thought a bit about choosing this restaurant), was not completely cleared and the cutlery was not replenished. So there was just a cutlery with no napkin available. The prices are, of course, similar to the GrandHotel and therefore the cyclist cost almost €5. The ordered dishes were cold or the other lukewarm. The specially ordered cutlery was so dirty that we shared a cutlery and also the napkin — only one was brought. The interns were all completely overwhelmed, as they neither found the tables nor really executed things to the "chief waitress. " So we waited almost 20 minutes for us to finally pay. We do not find the statement "the girls are only the 2nd day here and the boss just wants to save" very professional, as it cannot be expected that girls directly from school can replace a full service force. They are there to learn and put the knowledge from school into practice.

Just stopped for coffee and cake. Very nice latte macciato and blueberry cake. Hotel also looked very nice.

They don’t have a lunch menu. The hotel serves the diner menu starting lunchtime. During the spring and summer the scenery of the terras towards the waterfront is breathtaking.

Terrible servie in the restaurant… Specially the waiter Mr. IVAN is the worst waiter/person for the hotel. He is rude and arrogant. Just can not imagine for a superb hotel like this to have a staff like him…

Restaurant: nice food and absolutely amazing views, but waiters are miserable and abrupt. No effort to make your eating experience nice — we felt we were not wanted there. No smile, no pleasantries — only abrupt 'yes' and 'no' answers, miserable faces. When we came 14 people, it took more than 1 hour to get our starters on the table (after we all ordered), we almost died from hunger — and there only were very few a la cart eaters, restaurant was almost empty. When we came as a couple — my husband and me, we were rushed, we were not made welcome, they mixed up my order, and of course — miserable faces and arrogant abrupt manners again. Not recommended!

I was just in the restaurant. Very tasty, upscale food. Magnificent view of the mountain panorama from the terrace.

This hotel is beautiful, the location, ambience, food, staff, room, cleanliness … everything wonderful from the minute we arrived! Thankyou to all of the staff! Salem our waiter in particular was fantastic!

I celebrated with my family there in the Restaurante the 70 birthday of my wife. We had a service that made the evening even more beautiful. She was quick, polite and even has a word for us once in a while. The food we enjoyed was excellent. The ambiance in the restaurant with this beautiful view of the lake is not to be surpassed.

Great hotel, the staff is very friendly. The room was very spacious and had great lighting. The dinner is also good. And the shuttle to city express is a very good bonus.

ALL staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned each day to a good standard. Food was very nice with three options for each dinner. We had an early checkout and the receptionist helped us get some breakfast before we left. He also arranged for the hotel driver to drop us off at the train station and when he didn’t show up he jumped in the van and drove us himself. Great service and we will be back again.

This is the first time I had experienced hotel that has the check out at 10.30am, also the restaurant service was really really slow. Yes the view is beautiful but the hotel it self was overall bad! (Over priced)

I have been coming to this region of Austria for 20 years. This was my first time staying at Grand Hotel — finally found the best and will be staying here in the future. I love everything about this hotel interior, location, beautiful views, food, wonderful staff and excellent service. Amazing spa on the top floor with breathtaking views and the best sauna I have ever seen. Everything about this place is just PERFECT. Highly recommend!

Not as grand as the name! Somewhat shabby elegance! It's not main season, so not enough wait staff! Location is unique, really beautiful on the lake shore! Food ok.

A really very nice house. The staff from the Valet Parking through the reception up to the service in the Restaurants is very friendly and accommodating, the compilation and the preparation of the food was very tasty. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the cleanliness leaves nothing to be desired. The Guest structure was very international, like everywhere in Zell am see. I can recommend the Hotel only!

It is a great location right on the shore of lake Zell. Breakfast has many varieties while dinner is offered through 3 different set menus with 5 course. The new rooms are very well furnished and use the highest technology; the old building can use a bit o renovation. Overall it is a great experience.

Terrace next to the lake, something unique.

Location is top. Hotel decoration was the worse seen for a 4 star hotel that has an excellent location. I can't believe no 1 thought of buying this hotel and renovating it since it has by far the best location ever. The building outside looks good. But inside is really terrible and outdated.

Good location on the lake with great view. Breakfast is acceptable but we didn't like the dinner. Parking is 10 € / night. No iron and no water heater. The toilet is too small. If you open room window you should expect a lot of insects to get in. You should get used to the sounds of train and church.

It's a nice hotel with history and a beautiful view. If you want to have a great place to enjoy the lovely bathing possibilities in Zell am See, this is a good place to visit and have a stay. When it comes to food it's okay but not a wow experience. It's a place for having some days of and relaxing. And the surrounding mountains are well worth the stay.

The hotel is great but there lots of issues, 1-we were 2 adults and 1 child they let us pay for the child a big amount of money for the extra bed. 2-the phone in the room was broken we informed about it since arrival till check out it was not fixed. 3-the food and the view was great. 4-the Wi-Fi coverage was bad. 5-the location is the best location in hole zell am see.

Its so old… room service is so bad… and the food tastes really bad.

We were there for our honeymoon spent. We had a room at the upscale category, the all our requirements. Particularly noteworthy is that our room on the house has been decorated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We can the Hotel only recommend.

If the Grand Hotel Zell am see, only a few inches further out, it would be a ship :-) the best location at the Zeller lake!
