Great hotel right on the slopes. Spa area as well as breakfast super. Staff super friendly. Late checkout possible for extra charge. Comfortable rooms. Delicious breakfast. Good attitude to the environment. Inner city and its restaurants 10 minutes walk away. Can highly recommend the Explorer hotel.

The room has many hooks, rods, hangers and compartments where you can hang your wet things just after skiing. It is large enough that three people can move well in it without constantly stepping on their feet.
The breakfast buffet offers almost everything the heart desires (coffee specialities from the fully automatic machine included). Only drawback for me: eggs must be prepared by yourself. Whether as soft — or hard-boiled, mirror — or scrambled egg — there are raw eggs, pans, oil, hotplates or hot water for eggs in shell. The preparation is carried out by the guest.
In a hotel with breakfast I do not want to put myself in person and start sizzling eggs. Then I prefer to go to a holiday home, then I have to do everything myself, but not share breakfast with strangers.
So I have not eaten eggs, although scrambled eggs with bacon is otherwise always my holiday highlight when we are at the hotel. I personally find this concept bad.
It is also possible to set up more tables in the breakfast room. In one day the hotel apparently had so many guests, who in most of the same time went to breakfast, that we did not get a table anymore. We had to eat at a very narrow bar and sitting next to each other like the three Sparrows breakfast. That wasn't good either.
Otherwise everything fits: clean, staff friendly, nice house, good location (three minutes walk to the ski lift), price OK.

Little bit far from to train station. For sure if you have to walk with the skis… For the rest was this place awesome.

Great value for money. Breakfast also top! 1 star deduction only because of the somewhat remote location.

Nice, clean and pretty well located in the pretty town of St Johann im Tirol. The beautifully decorated rooms are cosy and offer a pretty nice view (snowy in our case). The staff are friendly and helpful enough. The breakfast is very good. It's just a little regrettable that it's a bit of a factory. The atmosphere of the common areas (the lobby and especially the bar) is not very warm. But in the end, we had a great time and will definitely come back!

Very nice hotel. Great room. Nice staff. Delicious food especially at breakfast all tip top. Very clean. Dogs are allowed. Price/performance fits. I like to be here and we'll be back soon. Your Maria and Marcel.

Top hotel for sporty active. Short distances to super ski resorts and also to St. Johann (especially great in the evening walk to the place to come! )
We also enjoyed the sauna after the day of skiing:-)
The price of the hotel is really good. Modern, relaxed and a very tasty breakfast buffet.
Certainly not our last visit!

Comfortable room, but no ventilation in the bathroom. Really thin walls, you could hear everything from the corridor/other rooms. Also, wood on the walls looks good, but splinters in my finger were rather painful. Still would recommend for one night stay.

Quiet hotel, good service, free sauna and fitness centre for guests. You can make your own breakfast in the morning, they have bacon, eggs, onions… etc and you can make it how you like it.

The Service is in all areas very friendly. The rooms are sufficiently large, well furnished and functional. The Saving is also spacious and nicely decorated. The Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. A very successful concept. KLars Recommendation.

A Hotel with great views, a loud, young, nice staff, great hotel concept, is small, but very cozy room is located in the vicinity of the center. I felt at ease.
