Beautiful hotel very nice and feature property. I was disappointed in the care of the sheets rooms other small details. As far as breakfast I didn't like it at all I would have liked something even more international. I wouldn't go back.

My worst hotel experience so far. After being made to loiter around for an hour in the sun with an 11 month old baby, waiting for our expensive room "to be made ready" at 2pm, they let us in, and we marvelled at the high ceilings and huge window, a little less at the somewhat narrow bed and definitely not at the bathroom / toilet which was only separated from the room by a glass partition, meaning that you were privy to whatever happened inside, if not visually, then at least audibly. However, the room did have an amazing balcony. So we went out on the balcony, and promptly noted – lucky for us! – that there is a gap of at least 20 cm between the bottom of the wooden railing and the wooden boards of the balcony, more than enough for a small child to roll under and fall off. We therefore decided to keep a close watch over our baby when he was on the balcony. We reasoned that such a blatant danger might have been kept as part of the design, in order not to alter the old building. So we watched closely as our baby crawled around happily on the balcony, playing with a toy, far from the dangerous edges. Little did we realise that something bad was happening to him, under our very eyes. When we went back into the room, we saw that he had a series of black spots on his feet, knees and wrists. We then realised that these were wood splinters, that the child had picked up from crawling over the boards of the balcony. There were 20-30 of them altogether.

Lovely view from our houseboat room. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Be sure to bring your own toiletries (it's bare bones) and converters especially if travelling from the US.

This hotel is nivolos of operation to character. If you leave want to make and feel good, definitely not this hotel choose, but the parkhotel in pörtschach!
