So relaxing, great host, rooms clean & charming.

Gorgeous place! Charming spa en-suite room in a big renovated old house with a beautiful garden. Loved everything about it including the fabulous art on the walls.

Great rooms and value for money.

Lantern's Retreat is a wonderful little getaway accommodation. It has very spacious rooms leading out onto balconies or little patios. Serge greets you with an amazing welcome and is very knowledgable about the area… where to eat etc. We certainly enjoyed the 1km walk into Dunsborough for our meals and sightseeing.

On a belated honeymoon, the superior King Spa room is incredible. To the myriad of birds singing. Oh it's lovely to sit outside sipping wine in the evenings too! The communal sitting room and wood burning stove are a peaceful spot too. The room is sumptuous, the bathroom huge. Serge is a wonderful host but the highlight is sitting on the veranda watching the winter sun light the treetops in the garden, listeningo. A longer stay is a must.

We stayed here for the long weekend and I must say this was such a beautiful gem of a place. Serge was very accomodating despite him being busy with his jazz songs. Loved the fireplace too! Will definitely come back.

Our host Serge made sure we felt welcome. The bedroom and the general lounge area are beautifully furnished and appointed with everything you could think of, even a lighter for the candles by your bathtub. Yes, you have a shower stall and a bathtub! Enjoying coffee in the communal lounge room at breakfast time was a great way to talk about wineries and music with Serge as he plays jazz.

Received a warm welcome by our host Serge and taken to our very comfortable room that had two sets of French doors enticing us out to the garden. The bathroom which is bigger than most bedroom was tastefully decorated too. Breakfast was Devine. I had the banana crepes — super thin and delicious he had the Aussie breakfast a great start for the day.

What a beautiful place. So much more than a B&B. Highly recommended. Wish we had had more than one night but a perfect half way spot. Thank you Serge. Perfect host and amazing breakfast chef.

We will see you sooner than you think and I will recommend your establishment to people from every walk of life because I believe you will make anyone feel welcome they you did to us.

Loved Lanterns! This B+B was a surprise find at the top end of the Margaret River wine trail, and finding it made our stay. The great recommendations from the friendly owners Sally and Serge led to finding little unexpected beaches, lunch at one of the most wonderful wineries that we would never have found alone — and at the b+b itself an all round brilliant experience with the most comfy bed + relaxing spa tub + lovely breakfasts. (Also, there's free port in the sitting room area :). While I was there only for two nights I hear some people stay for a month every year and I can see why. Thanks for the great experience!
