Honestly one of the best meals I've had. Went there 2 nights in our stay here and both times sensational.

One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. My meal came out 40 minutes later than my wife's. Yes, yes, the menu says that pizza will arrive when it's good and ready but really 40 minutes without an apology is unacceptable. Then to make it worse the pizza was so poor $5 would have been about right but for $24 it was a total let down. Friends went elsewhere in Dinner Plain that night and from the sounds of it they got great value pub food and service. Unfortunately we didn't.

My favourite place in Dinner Plain. Great staff, the food is amazing, and you'll never be disappointed or left feeling hungry. Miso corn is a must!

The drive to get here is quite spectacular. It is located in a beautiful alpine village. Take the first left, upon entering Dinner Plain, at the large round about. (You see a similar hotel as you drive in directly in front, this is not it. ) You are greeted by really friendly staff, at the bar, who will sort you out. Room was cosy, clean & tidy but looking a little dated. We fluked warmish weather before the last cold snap so didn't need to use the heater. Bathroom was pretty small. Some larger framed people might find it a little claustrophobic. Shower had gòod pressure. Food ordered was brilliant. However, drinks & food is very expensive. Can easily cost you more than your room for the night. Staff were excellent, especially Amber, who made the night something to remember. Whole place had a really friendly vibe & it's easy to see why people love coming to these Alpine type venues. Best night out I've had a long time. Cheers, Q.

Food is 5 star. Generous servings, great presentation and the food delicious. Rooms very comfy and best of all, excellent staff, super friendly and nothing was a trouble. I'll be back.

Food nothing starling, EI could do as well. Was expensive, for what you got. Deep fried was the style.

Too busy to serve us even though we had a table. Drink service took ages because they were unprepared for how busy it would be over Easter. The beds are uncomfortable unless you like really hard beds.

Great hotel, sensational food and staff that want to make you stay and enjoy. Couldn't recommend this place more. If you come to Dinner Plain, don't leave without enjoying this great place.

Restaurant: The food was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful. (Would recommend a pizza and the linguine) Hotel: The room had all the basic necessities, however the walls were paper thin and some of the appliances outdated. Although the owner was friendly and the views were lovely.

We ate here for dinner on our last night in Dinner Plain and was delighted with the quality. For such a casual looking restaurant the food was A+, it felt like we were eating in a trendy restaurant in Melbourne. I had the 1/2 rack of pork ribs which was delicious and fell off the bone. Topped off the wonderful dinner with a few drinks at the bar and a couple rounds of pool.

Fantastic food at a good price at the snow! Staff very friendly and we had amazing steaks and dessert. Love this food!

We had a great time and we're very appreciative that the staff let us come in and order dinner so close to dinner closing time. Anna looked after our table and was attentive and personable and made sure that everything was perfect for us! Thank you hotel high plains we will be back again! :)

Awesome place! Amazing food (great valye for money) — legit the best chicken parmi I have ever had and great customer service and nice atmosphere :)

The share plates were amazing, will be back just for those. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the desserts, we ordered four different ones and none of them were as great as the shares. Strange mix of tastes and textures in some.

Great food, good accomodation. Great place to stay in winter — or the perfect place to stay on a motorbike ride during summer.

Fantastic steak meal. We shared a steak plate, chips and garlic pizza bread. The meals are designed to be easily shared. The steak was really tender and tasty and quite large. It came with a baked mushroom which was flavoursome. Enjoyed the pizza bread too. Yum! Couldn't eat all the chips because we filled up on the steak and the pizza bread. Would certainly recommend the restaurant. Location is great too — we walked to the Room with a View Trail from the hotel on the afternoon we arriv d and enjoyed the walk to the view of Mount Hotham. The only area for improvement was that the check in time is not until 3 pm and we weren't told this when we phoned to book. Fortunately the cleaner was there by chance and she let us in to our room, provided us with maps of the area and useful tips for the walking trails. Very helpful manager later in the afternoon. Cheerful and pleasant.

Friendly staff, great service and great foods. The atmosphere was relaxing and very cosy, we were seated close to a fireplace, the best seat after a long day at the snow. The steak there is one of the best I've ever tasted. Hands down to the chef!

Fire place, good outdoor seating and good burgers.

Dinner was ok. Very fast which was great with having hungry kids.

Had dinner here, the meals while tasty where tiny and unsatisfying, the pavlova barely even had any pavlova in it.

Over priced tourist trap. Not as pictured. Don't expect parking, a clean room, working air conditioning, access to stairs or a functional elevator; The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is it didn't burn down while I was there because it is a fire hazard as well. Don't believe the pictures. Don't eat at the restaurant unless you like dirty tables.

Ordered a chicken carbonara pasta and it not what it's meant to be. Lacking sauce and taste.

The service was ok, but the my meal was pretty bad. I ordered a chicken carbonara, it was the worst I ever had.
