Mantra Shepparton

Very nice motel. It seemed like new, everything was VERY clean. Room had everything needed for an overnighter. Bed was very comfortable. The motel is conveniently located on the main drag and because of the design the room was quite — no traffic disturbance whatsoever. Will definitely stay here again.

Room is nice and clean but door between 2 rooms is not sound proof. You can easily hear people in the adjacent room and there is no privacy.
For a hotel room, This is much more important than room being clean and new.

Great hotel for corporate/ business travel. Rooms are clean and modern, equipped with a fridge, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery, microwave, iron, and ironing board. TV is large wi to respect to the size of the room. Individual air conditioning. Windows are mostly frosted with the top section clear to allow for natural light. Very limited amenities. Front reception has refillable water bottles (still and sparking) and coffee which you can take to your room, however only open from 9-5. There is space for a gym but this is currently non-operational. There is also a guest laundry with washing machines and dryers available for use. There is plenty of one side parking all covered. There is a small barbecue area however I have not seen anyone use it. The only issue is soundproofing as you can hear noise from adjacent rooms. The hotel has no on-site restaurant. Also no welcome amenity for Accor members. Despite these I will still choose this hotel for business travel as there are very limited options in the area currently.

Decend stay for corporate travel. Comfy bed and free coffee ☕️ and drinking water station.

This place may be new, however it lacked basic facilities and common sense in terms of functionality. There was a general lack of in room amenities and service. Only instant coffee and black tea with the smallest tea cups ever. There is a coffee machine in reception but it’s closed from 7pm to 9 am. No bathroom toiletries like a shower cap. Loud exhaust fans. Receptionist was unhelpful, did not explain anything much about the room/hotel.

This is a brand new Accor property in Shepparton. Very nicely setup; excellent bed, minimalist, comfortable furnishing. Great air-conditioning.
Negatives —
1. The kitchenette in the apartments have a functional microwave, but the bar fridge is poor quality (could not keep my yoghurt cold! It was a putrid mess after five days) with no freezer section. Only one sort of tea is provided.
2. The TV is massive but there is no direct streaming, and I think only Android mirroring supported (in common with other Accor properties).
3. There is no laundrette at present, which is inconvenient for guests staying longer for work.
4. Accor status is not acknowledged — no welcome gift! Upgrades likely not possible.
Overall, though, I would (and will be soon! ) return. It is well-located close to the hospital.

This is an honest review of Mantra Shepparton in its current state while it remains under construction.
While I understand the property is undergoing development, I was only made aware of this upon arrival. There was no indication on the Accor website or app that the hotel is still under construction, nor was there any notice that reception operates under restricted hours.
Parking on arrival was quite limited. I initially parked on the street before later discovering that overflow parking was available.
The room itself was compact but neat and well maintained. Unfortunately, none of the usual Accor Platinum amenities were available, and there was no bottled water provided in the room. With reception closed, it was not possible to obtain filtered or bottled water from the front desk either.
The fridge did not appear to be cooling properly, and items stored overnight were not cold by morning. This could be a concern for guests requiring refrigeration for medication.
Overall, this is a decent hotel, but at its current stage of construction, it does not justify the price point I paid. While I understand pricing is influenced by supply and demand, I have stayed in better properties for less, and the lack of Accor status benefits further impacts the overall value.
I will certainly consider returning once the hotel is fully operational, but I hope the rates are reviewed accordingly. In its current condition, it would be more appropriately priced between $120 and $150 per night.

Photos of the rooms are very deceiving they make it look like it’s so big but it was so tiny witch was very upsetting as I had booked a big room to get ready in for my wedding and we were very squashed. The windows are frosted so you have nothing to look at. House keeping needs attention (random kids dummy under the bed) so do the reception staff. The car park is so small and it’s very hard to park in with a large car would not recommend staying here for any special occasion!

Parking is ridiculous — so tight! Should only be one way. On a two night stay expected our beds would be made but only replaced towels. Cups and bowls in hotel were so small that we purchased our own.

The receptionist was extremely welcoming and polite she is a credit to the mantra hotel, she maybe my new friend, I would absolutely go back, well done Mantra Shepparton you found a diamond in the rough 😊

Our room had a very thin interconnecting door with the adjoining room. We tried to change rooms but there are only 2 without this configuration and these were not available. We could hear every word /movie audio etc. Etc.

It was on the main road not far from the Shepparton centre everything was practically brand new, Kara was nice to us and it was nice chatting with her as she was a local so you could ask her almost any things about the town.
Probably one of the newest hotel in town although a little bit difficult to park if the hotel is busy until they are all completed everything should function well, Highly recommended.

No proper parking and no courtesy for late check-in or checkout. The whole lobby smelled like cigarettes upon check in at night. Receptionist was intrusive and unprofessional approached my car to eavesdrop and even called me out whilst using the lift, later excusing it by saying they thought I was staff. Completely unacceptable behavior.

Love the Mantra. Amazing staff, great location. Parking is tight though, but construction is still underway. Some rooms need a bit more attention to detail with the cleaning as well.

Parking is an issue. Didn’t like my car on main road. Otherwise fantastic. If you get a car spot in the car park don’t move.

I stayed at The Mantra, Shepparton on Thursday 15/5/25. The room was very small — smaller than most. The bathroom had NO bench space at all (it's just a sink), so couldn't put anything to be ready to use, like make-up, moisturizers, hair straighter, hand-towel, etc. There was only one hook for a shower towel, which was annoying as there was 2 of us staying. The shower leaked at the bottom. Reception closes at 5pm so couldn't get bottled water after that time. The fridge is not cold, and our (self-supplied) OJ was warm to drink the next morning. I asked for a tax invoice to be sent to me on the morning of departure, (Friday), but it wasn't sent. As an ACCOR member, I am entitled to a drink on arrival, however there are no facilities for that (felt they could have offered a can of coke as an option, but they didn't). We were able to park on the premises, but some people missed out and they weren't happy (not a lot of carparks there at the moment). On a positive note, staff were friendly. I won't stay again, and there are a lot of motel/hotel options in Shepparton so will try a different place next time.

Reception was never open.

The brooms were clean.
