Mantra Shepparton

This is an honest review of Mantra Shepparton in its current state while it remains under construction.
While I understand the property is undergoing development, I was only made aware of this upon arrival. There was no indication on the Accor website or app that the hotel is still under construction, nor was there any notice that reception operates under restricted hours.
Parking on arrival was quite limited. I initially parked on the street before later discovering that overflow parking was available.
The room itself was compact but neat and well maintained. Unfortunately, none of the usual Accor Platinum amenities were available, and there was no bottled water provided in the room. With reception closed, it was not possible to obtain filtered or bottled water from the front desk either.
The fridge did not appear to be cooling properly, and items stored overnight were not cold by morning. This could be a concern for guests requiring refrigeration for medication.
Overall, this is a decent hotel, but at its current stage of construction, it does not justify the price point I paid. While I understand pricing is influenced by supply and demand, I have stayed in better properties for less, and the lack of Accor status benefits further impacts the overall value.
I will certainly consider returning once the hotel is fully operational, but I hope the rates are reviewed accordingly. In its current condition, it would be more appropriately priced between $120 and $150 per night.

Photos of the rooms are very deceiving they make it look like it’s so big but it was so tiny witch was very upsetting as I had booked a big room to get ready in for my wedding and we were very squashed. The windows are frosted so you have nothing to look at. House keeping needs attention (random kids dummy under the bed) so do the reception staff. The car park is so small and it’s very hard to park in with a large car would not recommend staying here for any special occasion!

Parking is ridiculous — so tight! Should only be one way. On a two night stay expected our beds would be made but only replaced towels. Cups and bowls in hotel were so small that we purchased our own.

The receptionist was extremely welcoming and polite she is a credit to the mantra hotel, she maybe my new friend, I would absolutely go back, well done Mantra Shepparton you found a diamond in the rough 😊

Our room had a very thin interconnecting door with the adjoining room. We tried to change rooms but there are only 2 without this configuration and these were not available. We could hear every word /movie audio etc. Etc.

It was on the main road not far from the Shepparton centre everything was practically brand new, Kara was nice to us and it was nice chatting with her as she was a local so you could ask her almost any things about the town.
Probably one of the newest hotel in town although a little bit difficult to park if the hotel is busy until they are all completed everything should function well, Highly recommended.

No proper parking and no courtesy for late check-in or checkout. The whole lobby smelled like cigarettes upon check in at night. Receptionist was intrusive and unprofessional approached my car to eavesdrop and even called me out whilst using the lift, later excusing it by saying they thought I was staff. Completely unacceptable behavior.

Love the Mantra. Amazing staff, great location. Parking is tight though, but construction is still underway. Some rooms need a bit more attention to detail with the cleaning as well.

Parking is an issue. Didn’t like my car on main road. Otherwise fantastic. If you get a car spot in the car park don’t move.

I stayed at The Mantra, Shepparton on Thursday 15/5/25. The room was very small — smaller than most. The bathroom had NO bench space at all (it's just a sink), so couldn't put anything to be ready to use, like make-up, moisturizers, hair straighter, hand-towel, etc. There was only one hook for a shower towel, which was annoying as there was 2 of us staying. The shower leaked at the bottom. Reception closes at 5pm so couldn't get bottled water after that time. The fridge is not cold, and our (self-supplied) OJ was warm to drink the next morning. I asked for a tax invoice to be sent to me on the morning of departure, (Friday), but it wasn't sent. As an ACCOR member, I am entitled to a drink on arrival, however there are no facilities for that (felt they could have offered a can of coke as an option, but they didn't). We were able to park on the premises, but some people missed out and they weren't happy (not a lot of carparks there at the moment). On a positive note, staff were friendly. I won't stay again, and there are a lot of motel/hotel options in Shepparton so will try a different place next time.

Reception was never open.
I couldn't get bottled water.
The brooms were clean.

Great service, beautiful rooms and great location.

Comfortable clean rooms, great staff who dealt very well with a difficult situation and a tired grumpy woman (me). Location is a little ordinary.

Rubbish still in the room's bins and lack of vacuuming; really makes you question if the place is being cleaned… fairly basic expectation of a hotel.
Apart from that glaring oversight it was fine.
Self check in was simple enough.

Great new hotel. Clean, fresh and comfortable. Wonderful service from Briana who helped us check in after hours.

Perfect short stay accommodation. Very clean (feels new?! ) and comfortable bed. Check in after hours was easy. 15 minute walk to town.

A complete stuff up trying to speak to staff. You need to leave messages to get someone to call you back and no replies. Completely stuffed up our booking. We gad a deluxe room and a 2 bedroom booked in for an event and we checked in our 2 bedroom was cancelled due to miscommunication. Insufficient car parks. Really disappointed with the service having travelled this far. Deluxe room was small compared to photos advertised. Reception area needs to lift their game.
