The service was very welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was lovely and lived up to all of our expectations.

Rocked up late and bar manager Eden came to the rescue. Absolute star and very friendly. Rooms were spacious, comfy and definitely had a cool vintage vibe. Will definitely swing by again next time I come through.

Great room, fantastic staff who could not help any more than they did. Excellent choice of food in the restaurant to a wonderful quality and taste also. Decor suits the age of the town.
The only down side was the steps to all levels. A lift would have made the trip for me, given that I had a knee injury.

The accommodation was in a lovely historic boutique hotel built of blue stone. Only stairs to the upper levels so wouldn't suit a wheelchair. The night manager was really accommodating and organised a birthday cake for my wife on arrival. My only negative comment is that the water had a strong smell and didn't feel natural. Believe it was treated with something. Some signs of wear here and there requiring maintenance but nothing serious. King size bed with nice linen and the room was quite large.

Really impressed with this place. The rooms are genuinely spacious with plenty of room to move around comfortably, and the location is perfectly convenient for getting around.
What really stood out was the customer service — the staff were professional, friendly and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
Everything was well-organised and thoughtfully managed. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The room wasn't checked after works to the air conditioning system and was still dirty from the works. A replacement room was provided which was quite nice.

The hotel had friendly staff and my room was extremely comfortable. In particular the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated it having a bath and a table and chairs. Small details that contributed to a great stay were plenty of electricity outlets to plug in laptop and phones, very good hot water and plenty of towels. It was also nice to have newspapers available for guests rather than directing guests to on-line newspapers.

We stayed over the Easter long weekend. We had a king room (no sea view). It was a lovely, private room on the second floor with opening windows that looked out to the carpark and ground level apartments.
There was exposed stone walls, a gorgeous little hallway to the bathroom, a good shower with great water pressure and a rainfall shower head.
It was quiet, convenient and very relaxing.
Very comfy bed and ok pillows if you're not fussy. Big TV with Netflix hookup available. Free Wi-Fi, wardrobe, draws, mini fridge with some drinks and snacks, pod coffee machine and other conveniences.
Easy check in and check out accompanied by friendly service.

Heritage style hotel, lovely location, and our room had a great view of the harbour. We had a top floor room, which is very spacious, with antique furnishings and a generous size bathroom — the bed was comfortable enough. Appreciate breakfast included, but the bread supplied wasn't fresh, maybe two days old, given how crumbly it was.
I would highly recommend getting a low-level room if you don't want to hike the steep staircase to your room. Parking is available on-site but seems to be first in best dressed, as we were road tripping with a lot of goods in the car we preffered parking inside the hotel grounds rather than street parking.
Generous pub food portions that are reasonably priced but the bar could do with a better selection of tap beers.
There was an odd carpet smell throughout the hotel carpeted areas and room. I'm not sure if it's from renovations or just needs a really good shampoo/vacuum wash.

Building is historical & lovely. Our bedroom was spacious & well appointed. Reception staff were welcoming & the hotel is in a great spot. Only points off for breakfast. The filter coffee was just luke warm.

The hotel is central and close to all local attractions, the room was large and well appointed, staff was friendly, and continental breakfast was good. Unfortunately, the bed was not very comfortable, the room was bright from lights on the building's exterior, we could hear the downstairs pub, the hotel lobby is tired, the carpets are well past their best before dates, and with no lift we had to carry our bags up several flights of stairs to the room. This was surprising for a room that cost $250/night, which is what we just paid for a nice suite in a newer boutique hotel in central Adelaide with a full gourmet hot breakfast.

This is not somewhere to stay if you like light or space. Our room was cramped and had an awkward layout. Windows were completely frosted because they looked out onto a tin roof, but this made it feel even more claustrophobic. It's probably nicer if you like the historic/heritage hotel feel, and the bed was fine and the room clean, at least. Note there is no lift so you need to go up at least one flight of stairs to get to your room. Seems like there is plenty of free parking but it might not be enough if the hotel were full. Staff were friendly and helpful though, and three included 'continental' breakfast wasn't too bad.

My side of the building was facing the kitchen, all the odour was in the room, plus the noise from the ventilation. Bearable for one night.

Damien went above and beyond to make our stay here special. From carrying our bags to our room and telling us some history about where we were staying. The towels are so soft, the bed is so comfy and the location is perfect. We had dinner there and the portions are ample and food yummy. Great stay at a historic hotel. Would highly recommend.

Our glorious room was a joy with a magnificent bathroom. Staff all great. Food downstairs was 100% fantastic. Locals call it the MAC as that was the original name. Service at all times was utterly perfect.
Restaurant downstairs is so popular with locals that we came to realize that it was better to book a table in advance.

We stayed at this hotel whilst travelling the Great ocean Road. It is an older hotel but the room we were given was absolutely lovely. The room was large and comfortable as was the bathroom. We also ate in the hotel in the evening. The meals we had were delicious, my steak was tender and succulent. A continental breakfast was included in the price of the room — fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast and drinks. Plenty to keep us going for the rest of the day. I can't recommend this hotel too highly.
