Lorelei Bed & Breakfast

We had the most divine experience here. The service is impeccable. Here you have the experience of living inside a "home", but with the niceties of a hotel. I much prefer this to an airbnb because you have an attentive, friendly host and lovely little extras :) the doggo there is sooo beautiful. I feel my husband and I will stay here everytime we visit Portland. Thank you for such a peaceful, Victorian experience.

Devine vintage home, gorgeous hard wood furniture from yesteryear. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms. We had a spa in ours. The host, Roger was welcoming, attentive and lovely to chat with. This is surely a hidden gem, even a koala 🐨 out the front, yes a big male. A light breakfast was included. Thankyou Roger.

This must be one of the best B&Bs in Portland (if not the best). Beautiful quaint house with large rooms and a friendly and very generous owner (Roger) who cooks lovely breakfast every morning. Rooms and bathroom were clean, and there was a lovely lounge to relax in with wine and other drinks available for a small charge. All day snacks and drinks available as well. For breakfast served in a beautiful dining room, you got many options besides toast, eggs and bacon: yogurts, muessli, marmalade, jams, honey, and coffee, tea and juice.
Lorelei is just a short distance from the shorefront and Portland's center so you never have to drive for dinner and other town attractions.
Roger was super nice and welcoming, and it was a pleasure to chat with him (thank you for the lovely daily chocolates).
We were sorry to be leaving and will certainly be back — just for this wonderful B&B!

This is a true gem. We had a spacious and charming room, the host was very accommodating and friendly, we had a good breakfast and a nice glass of port wine before bed time. I would highly recommend to stay here for a few days if on the road, it is highly worth it. Should we find ourselves back in this little part of Australia, this would be our go-to-place.

This place has been lifted straight out of a fairytale complete with the nicest innkeeper you will ever meet.
Vintage decor, quintessential rooms and traditional dining.
Oh yes, and hands down, the cheapest mini bar you will ever find.
This fairytale is guaranteed to have a happy ending.
My wife and I are looking forward to the sequel.

Exceptional in every way. Generously hosted by Roger, this is a wonderful place to stay. Spacious room with ensuite and very comfortable bed. Great breakfast, tea and coffee range, drinks fridge and chocolates included.

Stayed one night and wished we could extend our visit. Our Host Roger was exceptionally generous and made everyone feel so welcome. Very clean throughout, rooms truly grand and beds so comfortable. Fires were kept burning to add to the wonderful atmosphere. Just a wonderful stay, we will be back!

Cannot recommend this BNB in Portland enough. It was quiet, clean, homey, outstanding personal service, great breakfast and the house itself is stunning. Roger kept the fires burning — literally — both morning and night and we enjoyed relaxing at night in front of a crackling fire with our books and also watching footy. Roger is a wealth of local knowledge. Truly a home away from home.

The host Roger was very accommodating and welcoming, the minute I arrived, I felt comfortable. The breakfast had a great range to choose from, Juice, yogurt, fruit and muesli to a hot cooked meal, the coffee was also fresh. The location was quiet and easy to find, overall a fantastic stay, I will definitely stay again :).

Lorelei is a large and extremely comfortable early residence built by a doctor. Each room has an ensuite bathroom while there is a large shared sitting room (open fire) and breakfast room (warming firebox). The excellent continental breakfast with toast is included in the tariff (cooked breakfast for a small extra charge). Free wine beer and soft drinks are supplied plus fast Wi-Fi.
We visited during the cold winter months but were never short of heat — this was a great find.

This is a perfect place to stay in Portland. From the first impression as you walk into the warm and inviting reception, You are then met by the Host and shown around the property and to your room. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed TV with foxtel and other apps, Wi-Fi, bar fridge to store drinks, desk, aircon and room heater, very bright lights and multiple lamps for mood lighting. The ensuite bathroom was well appointed and had a standup shower and SPA BATH. The host made us breakfast to our order and the coffee MACHINE with beautiful and strong coffee. Lots of fresh fruit and juice, milk, water bottles and anything you may need to start the day. The property was quiet, spacious, lots of lounge and dining seats to spread out, the dining room had a very warm Wood fired Heater, keeping the DR and Lounge lovely and warm. Our host offered a late checkout and the opti to stay all day in the lounge area if we needed. Perfect BNB with a very accomodating host who will help with local knowledge and things to do in Portland.

Loved my three nights at this delightful bnb. Good location. Charming period-furnished rooms with comfortable beds, good hot showers/baths and all amenities I could need. Open fires in the cosy lounge. Hot breakfast for only $10 extra. Friendly and easy-to-chat-to host. Cute but not invasive dog. Highly recommended.

Beautiful period home, comfortable and had everything that we wanted for our 2 night stay. Roger was a wonderful host and created a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Great continental breakfast with gluten free options and the choice of a cooked breakfast for a small fee. There were complimentary drinks such as wine, soft drinks and port.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return and recommend to others.

A premium quality authentic B&B experience in a delightful century old country home of wonderful character. Great hospitality provided by Roger and Lou. All our needs were anticipated and provided for. Opposite of the minimum cost bland service most hotels are providing.

Beautiful old house with traditional fancy old school rooms. Very friendly staff. Beauties tucked away in a nice garden.
