The staff are friendly and helpful nothing is to much trouble for them highly recommend to stay.

We stayed 2 nights at Gum Tree Caravan park and had the best time! Our little cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The managers were very nice and helpful and the park well run. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love this spot 💕 Very welcoming (down to earth/ friendly management), beautiful scenery, clean & modern amenities. DOG FRIENDLY 😍 (with a huge paddock set up just for dogs to run). Perfect spot between the trees for our van, and ten. Functional kitchen area, with fridge, microwave, kettle and BBQ (+ plenty of table space). We will definitely visit here again on our travels, and highly recommend x.

Lovely spot here away from all the hustle and bustle of the town yet close enough to go venturing if you want. Excellent friendly hosts via and peter. Spotless facilities and spacious surrounds that are impeccably kept. Great choice of accommodation options here. 33.00 per night powered site use of all facilities come enjoy this magic spot ash and pete.

We have just spent 2 nights here. Pete and Viv were friendly and helpful. Our studio cabin was very cosy and clean, we would probably get a bigger cabin next time to accomodate our dogs crate. The off lead area was fantastic loved it! Approx 3 acres mown grassland with play equipment as well! Dusty our red kelpie and us loved it! Very peaceful park just outside main town which added to its charm.

Just spent a week here with our family of five plus the dog! What an absolute pleasure it was!
The facilities were immaculate and along with the movie nights for the kids and the complementary sausage sizzle for New Year’s Eve we really were sad to leave!
Will definitely be coming back again and will recommend to everyone looking for a great place to stay!

We had a great stay at Gum Tree Caravan Park. Pete was great to deal with over the phone and he helped get us a site at short notice. We received a warm welcome from Viv upon our arrival and received all the info that we needed for our stay, including what events were on in and around town. The facilities were kept clean and tidy. My children appreciated the new bark on the playground and the camp kitchen provided was kept clean. Viv and Pete are great people, always up for a chat and are easy to approach. The camp office is stocked with essentials at a reasonable price. The addition of a baby bath in the ladies toilets was well loved by those with babies also. We loved that caravan park was just on the outskirts of town, it was quiet, sometimes we could hear the cows from neighbouring paddocks which we loved, and the sunsets were gorgeous! Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to our tent collapsing in the high winds, but Viv and Pete did everything possible to help us. We look forward to spending another week with Viv and Pete in 2020!

Friendly reception from Peter & Viv. Very helpful information about tourist attractions. Extremely comfortable cabin with everything we could possibly need. Quiet park not too far from township of Port Fairy. Highly recommend it.

The staff were super! Friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the local community. The park is very neat and clean, even on a rainy night! Caretakers very sensitive to handicap access needs, and went out of their way to put me near the toilet block and check to see if I needed help with anything! Will absolutely stay here again. Recommend 100%!

Quiet, well maintained grounds. The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area.

Gumtree Carave Park is only 5 minutes drive from Port Fairy. The Caravan park is not too big with clean amenities. The camp kitchen is adequate enough. Our stay there was ok.

The park was small, quiet and friendly. Sites were large and grassy, which was excellent. Amenities were clean and easy to use. We had a great stay. It is not close to town though, but otherwise excellent.

Really nice and cheaper campground. Clean facilities. Kitchen a bit basic. Helpful and sweet owners.

Gum Tree CP is a really great place to stay. The hosts Pete & Viv are ultra hospitable and have tremendous local knowledge. It's a couple of k's out of town, which makes the CP nice and quiet, and Port Fairy is still very accessible. Also dog friendly!

Fantastic people, that helped us with very little notice. Staff and owners went above and beyond to accommodate our large family (3 adults, 6 children and 3 dogs) when we were in need of a place to stay, and no one else could, or would, help us. I cannot recommend Gum Tree Caravan Park highly enough.

My partner n I stayed overnight in their holiday cabin. Seriously great value for money n very clean n comfortable. The Owners really helpful n genuine the Park was very peaceful n it was a joy to stay overnight. We definitely will be back on a regular basis as we love Pt Fairy as we have just discovered. Tidy, quiet campsite at 5 minutes from City Center of Port Fairy. Good amenities, nice green grass for tents and campervans and a good playground for kids. Warm welcome from the staff.

The cabin was great and had all you needed. It was a little bit old inside and reminded me of my grand parents, but that's ok. The staff also was very kind! It can really recommend it for your stay.

Worst caravan park run by scamasters first they will be put up the cabins for cheaper price then they will charge the credit card without permission by saying the room was dirty and sending fake pics of it… charged us $200 saying that the room was dirty bed sheet was dirty curtain was dirty and sending fake pics of other dirty cabin…

Fantastic campsite! The owners are soo friendly and helpful and made some great recommendations for the local area. Really pretty camp spot with good facilities. Would highly recommend.

Glad we were just sleeping there for the night. Had to boil the kettle to wash dishes, but I'm sure we already knew about that. We just needed a place to stay with a late booking. The staff were great and otherwise things were fine.

Friendly service. Basic accommodation with shared bathroom. Linen cost extra and I had to make the beds up myself. I would consider staying again but would upgrade to have ensuite in cabin.

Great park exactly what we were after for the night, lovely friendly informative staff. Clean comfortable cabin for a great price. Dog friendly great little area for them to have a walk off leash. Kids loved the play ground.

Very small but quiet campground. We were the only campers so it was pretty good. Great washroom and showers that are updated and clean. Great camp kitchen as well.

Park is lovely and clean and quiet. Peter and Viv couldn't do enough for us. Took us in to Warrnambool to pick up a hire car when ours broke down. Stay here and help a young family!

We had a great stay here. Pete and Viv were very accommodating, considering we hadn't actually booked — they still managed to squeeze us in for 5 nights.
Pet friendly, our Kelpie had a great time… as did we.
The park and facilities were really well maintained, this coupled with owners who are friendly, helpful and good for a laugh (or to laugh at… hahaha jokes Pete! ) … we have booked back in for next year already!
Would recommend to anyone who is looking to travel out towards Port Fairy or Warrnambool.

We stayed in the cabin and were very happy! Big, clean and excellent price. Only sorry we couldn't stay longer.

Was a nice place to stay at. Not in the the centre of town, but was a short drive away. The place was very clean. One of the few places you can take your dog too. Booking online was easy.

Super friendy owners, clean bathroom (warm water and unlimited shower time) and good kitchen (public fridge included). I really enjoyed my stay! One day it was extreme rainy and a storm appeared in Port Fairy. The owner offered me to stay in one of their appartments for free because they were worried about me (normaIly I stayed on a spot with my car and a roof top tent for 25$ per night). So nice of them. Appreciate that!

Some of the cleanest facilities I've used at a camp ground. The owner was a fun guy to talk to who really was passionate about creating a good experience. The covered outdoor camp kitchen was extremely clean with what appeared to be newer appliances. For the cheaper price it was well worth it. Highly recommend it.

Quiet and relatively cheap. Good facilities, especially the showers. EXTREMELY bright at night due to several powerful lights all around the campground. If your caravan / campervan doesn't have windows that seal completely prepare to be annoyed by the light while you try to sleep. Owner very friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for a quiet, family friendly park then Gum Tree Caravan Park is the place to stay. Ashley and Corinne run their caravan park like parks used to be run, friendly and helpful they respond to everyone’s requests with a smile. This is the place to go for a relaxing, restful break away from the hustle and bustle of the usual tourist parks. Keep up the good work guys Pete and I look forward to visiting you again. 2012 Just returned from our third stay at Gum Tree Caravan Park and once again we had a fantastic time. Just what we needed to recharge our batteries. This quiet park is family and pet friendly and you know you will not be distrubed at night by large groups who forget how voices can travel at night time. As always the facilities are impeccably clean and once you have set the temperature of your shower it is not affected by flushing toilets or other showers. Ash and Corinne continue to improve the park with the addition of 2 new cabins (our 87year old mother stayed in one and she rated it as one of the best she has stayed in), new back fence and tree prunning which has made those camped under the gum trees feel a lot safer when the wind blows. Keep up the good work guys we will see you next year.

Found our stay very uncomfortable. Sites are very small and not shady as depicted in photos as trees have been cut down. Owner has signs everywhere (including outside the main gate with 'final warnings') with all the 'don't do's'. Amenities are very drab and outdated with bore water to the bathroom and laundry. Hot water is way too hot and would scald a small child. Felt like I was on school camp with owner doing a nightly patrol to make sure ALL noise ceases at 10pm. Not even a game of cards allowed! Definately won't be back.

Really nice park with clean facilities. They actually have a hair dryer in the bathroom. Off the road so it was quiet. Amazing value for the price. Can totally recommend out if you want somewhere clean and quiet to stay with friendly and helpful staff.

Stopped in for a night but stayed five (5). Fantastic. Very close to town but without the hustle, bustle and noise. Great outlook with fabulous walks along the old rail line. Non-strenuous long walks in several directions kept us fit. Very clean amenities, tidy surrounds and can’t speak more highly of the hosts. Loved the shelter and shade from the “Gum Tree”s and open spaces for a sun lounge. Being pet friendly we took our German Shepherd on holiday for the first time. Can’t recommend that combination enough. We all had an absolute ball. Be seeing you both again. We'll bring friends next time.
