RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Myself and my family have been coming to the Burvale for many many years and haven’t had a problem until today. We booked for a 91st birthday lunch today in the sports bar, most of the staff were lovely but we unfortunately had the worst service from one individual. Not sure of her name but she was a larger lady wearing black with black hair up in a bun and horrible over the top makeup. My family and I couldn’t believe the audacity this woman had to be as rude and arrogant as she was to my grandmother and mother in particular. Her and the other staff were clearly talking negatively about our family right in front of us! Making snarky comments at our table directed towards our family members and the woman screwing up her face while rolling her eyes when confronted by myself about the insensitive and nasty comments she was making towards our family. This women clearly has no respect for her customers or her job role, very very disappointed in the service from this woman and that the other staff unfortunately didn’t do anything about her or the terrible unfair service we received. She really let down the Burvale hotel and we won’t be coming back.

My first time visit to the Burvale Hotel my girlfriend recommended for dinner.
The place was very busy for a Monday night.
Food was ordered entree was served, then main and dessert.
My meal the barramundi and my friends steak both meals were delicious and we managed to order the mini pavlovas.
The service from the staff in all areas of the bistro/bar area were excellent
Would recommend to all of my friends and family.

Quite a few people asking for hand sanitizer in the pokie area today and there was none available. Staff said they had some out the back but none for patrons.

The worst costumer service I have ever experienced… rude, hostile, unhelpful and terrible communication. Save your money and absolutely pod this place — 10

Waited 48 mins tonight for our food. It was quiet. Then had alot of food left over and couldn't take it away. Luke warm food… Never again.

A special shout-out to our Bar Tender Jacob for serving us last night in the function room! Always smiling and ever so polite and accommodating! Also Kerry for making sure that the venue was available for us earlier than advised! For taking the endless calls throughout the week with the many queries! For going above and beyond in accommodating our changes ; like the table cloth colour change! The coffee and tea corner was superb! Once again Jacob! What a gem! THANK YOU once again for being so accommodating!
Ps: Finger food variety was awesome too!

Nice people, fair service. But steak poor quality. Salty mushroom sauce. Veggies like the were reheated frozen. My wife’s
Seafood platter a ‘mystery’ of what is this, with little or no taste. Chips almost burnt and I left half of them. Just a bit disappointing. I expect pub fair, but this was pub poor.

I Go to the Burvale, as much As possible to release the negative energy, it has a great presence and you can do, tab, pokies, Band live with my friends and family. Great place to be able to relax.

Get location. Good service, quiet and relaxed. Only downside was the menu didn't have much to offer. But the food was still good. Would go back certainly.

I really enjoyed my stay here… as a Prisoner Cell Block H fanatic… this was very nostalgic. Every one was very friendly… the front desk clerk… the bloke that assisted me with my broken heater, the cooks. I will return some day. Signed… a thankful Yank.

Before Silvers Circus show, dinner in bistro. Old style pub with focus on kids. Good given Silvers Circus is on in the car park. Service ok, would not rave, but very pleasant and helpful staff, so all good. Dinner is ok, remember this is not meant to be anything other than good quality in a hotel, with prices to match. I’m sure, if you worked the specials and nightly dinner offers, you would find it good value. The kids play area was a stand-out, well run, staff who understand kids, great initiative by the Burvale. We’d go back for sure.

Staff are very helpful. The food was terrific. The Elvis show starring Andrew Portelli was awesome. Thank you to The Burvale Hotel.

Dirty aircon that barely worked in winter air vents pushed up as if to hide drugs in them. Not what I am used too. Turndown service was really good however and staff were friendly.

I am rating the bistro that I ate dinner at this evening. It is a Monday and I ordered the chicken parma. It was a trivia night so there was a fun group of people but it was still a Monday night so it wasnt rowdy or crowded which was very nice. I will be coming back again soon and signing up to play trivia it looked like a lot of fun and there were substantial prizes. The inside is very warm, spacious and inviting. The meal itself was very good, I cant say it was the best parma in melbourne, but it was really really delicious and a great portion. The chicken was nicely cooked and crispy. Sauce and cheese on top werent overpowering or greesy, delicious salad dressing and freshly cooked chips. The reason why I am giving it 5 stars is because they had a pot and parma deal for $10. That meal for $10 was extremely impressive. I would highly recommend this place.

Nothing wrong here I'll tell you. Excellent friendly people. Room is clean, great price. Bottle shop next door. Service station on the other. Seperate bistro to the main bar etc. Plenty of LIVE music happens here. And to all in the trucking industry this place has parking for us too. Rock on, JB.

I guess when you book accommodation anywhere for $ 99 per night you pretty well know that it's not going to be Buckingham Palace and the Burvale Hotel certainly is not. I have travelled a bit in my life, but I can't ever recall being given a room (19) that didn't have hot running water out of the tap. So no morning shave, that's a good start to the day. Wouldn't this be a Health Department issue? Aren't we told these days that to kill bacteria we must wash our hands in hot water at more than 60 degrees? Anyhow, what with the mouldy shower, the dirt encrusted shower trim, the empty toilet roll holder at the back of the cistern, the filthy plastic rubbish bin, the partly used and already opened container of milk in the fridge, the chockablock rubbish bin outside, and the dead parrot just outside the bedroom window, I really wouldn't have been surprised to see Basil Fawlty fronting up at any given time. So never again. I would like to say that the manager was pleasant and the three staff on duty in the dining room last evening were nice people although obviously feeling they had to continually apologise when customers had to wait for service at every point, (drinks / food ordering /and food service). It was fair enough that they apologised though because we did have to wait at every point. You know, I believe that this hotel is owned under the Woolworths banner and if this is correct, then Woolworths should be ashamed of themselves.

Good food for a low price. Always specials available. An inexpensive dinner if you don't a formal environment.

Doors rattle in wind. Mouldy shower. Filthy A/C. Rock hard bed. Too soft pillows. No water one morning. No power 1 night for half the night, took an hour and a half for a staff member to come check if I was ok and provide update on power ETA (4hrs), wasn't even offered a candle. When I did brave the odds to eat here my schnitty sat on the counter for 5 mins before the kitchen paged my buzzer, if that wasn't bad enough it was simply THE WORST schnitty I have ever had. Seemed like it had been frozen and defrosted every day for the last week before someone was dumb enough to order one. That's the problem with supply and demand. If demand is high enough any 2 bit operation can get by like these guys. Can't wait to leave. Will tell my company to use another hotel in the area in the future. Oh, and on arrival I had to go to the staff member running the TAB to call someone to check me in.

On Sunday 25th March 2018 I went there with James and Marc and we shared the Cheesy Nachos, Cheesy Garlic Bread and Chips and Gravy. Sue was kind to me because she gave Marc half a coke to drink and myself half a Raspberry Lemonade for free since it was my Birthday also because she had a massive crush on James and she likes him a lot. I took home the rest of the Garlic Bread and I had it for breakfast the next morning.

Nice beer garden, but nothing much beyond that. Fairly basic drink selection. Does have a night club here on the weekends.

Awesome place to just unwind and enjoy a feed with loved ones. Kids gaming area is free and keeps em busy for hours. Meal serves are substantial and well worth it. Highly recommended for the family.

The food was absolutely amazing! And the staff were awesome but there were times where we had to wait for staff for us to be served, there needs to be a bell or something to notify staff that you’re standing at the bar or counter. But other than that, amazing.

Firstly it's a motel. The only reason it's called a hotel is because they service the rooms by making the beds, provide clean towels and top up the tea/coffee and toiletries. The rooms are nothing like they look in the photos. Bathroom was very dirty. We booked for 3 nights. We were 3 people staying. They said we would get a room with a single and a queen. I called and reconfirmed. I reconfirmed with Jackson, Aaron and Marie. When we arrive they gave us a room with a queen and a sleeper couch. When we enquired they said it only says 2 adults on the reservation. We were very upset as they could not give us the room we reserved as they said it was fully booked. We could move to the room we reserved on Sunday evening if we liked. No point. That was going to be our last night. Very angry and disappointed.

Located conveniently on the corner Springvale road and Burwood highway. The place feel spacious and a bit gloomy inside. Outdoor sitting area was nice and quieter than inside. There's a massive screen with sports on all the time and there was plenty of parking during the week but not sure about weekends and Friday nights. Prices are average and food was OK too. Chicken Parma comes with some salad and fries. I could barely finish the portion. There's a Dan Murphys located next door if you don't want to pay a premium inside the pub.

Had a very wonderful experience in here. The environment's so nice, perfect for relaxing. Although I find the drinks to be expensive, it doesn't make the place any less good.

Burvale is a large comfortable Pub with exceptional staff & management. Providing a diverse, delicious range of low priced food with the usual beverages. Check out the bands & entertainment or a spot of pool its a thumbs up for me.

Had a really good chicken Parma here. Not too expensive and the handy buzzing table number alerts you when your meal is ready. Our only issue was that they had run out of cutlery and needed to wash some for us. Both indoor and outdoor dining, quite large.

Good menu, friendly helpful staff, easy access for disabled or wheelchair bound, good drinks prices.

Love my local :) Great sports type Bar with huge Tv for live events, plenty of billiards tables a Motel, function rooms and of course Pokies. Heaps of parking.

The environment was nice and great for a relaxing drink. It allowed mood lighting and an relaxing time. The music was nice with clean toilets. I will come back anytime for a drink. I did find drinks to be expensive and wish I didn't have to pay such a high premium but it was a very nice experience.

On Trivia Monday, they played Daryl Braithwaite's 'Horses' 5 times, then Darude — Sandstorm followed by Horses once again. I love this place. Vivek is the best.

Staff here are amazing. Very friendly and take care of you. Food servings are generous and priced well. Top notch.

Staff have been fantastic to me. Meals are decent size and great quality. A good update of the motel rooms is needed to see the next few years as do the grounds. Still a great venue though.

In gaming room. The cheapest & best $1 capuccino & biscuite on the planet. Free champagne & snacks Thursday night. Free hot jam donuts every morning.

A lot of the POS is cash. Not an issue if the ATM wasn't restricted by the bar staff. Too much effort when you want a quick drink etc.

I loved my stay here. The staff are very friendly and understanding. And the rooms are very nice and well maintained. I highly recommend xx.

Really relaxed. Good wine. Lovely bartenders. Live music not bad.

A nice place to have dinner. It was refreshing to see a place where bread rolls are free and available. We had steaks. I had a porterhouse and my friend an eye fillet. One with mushroom sauce. I had the BBQ sauce. We had chips and veggies on the side. Both were great. Dessert we had apple crumble and it was great. They gave pint beers which I love and a reasonable wine list. I'd go back!

Would be a nice pub if it wasn't filled with bogans. The food is pretty average… but the drink prices are fair and they have several pool tables.

The staff is friendly and provide great service and it's a relaxing atmosphere. The menu hasn't changed in years and if you're a vegetarian there is only one main options or an overpriced basic salad.

An institution in the area for more years than I care to remember. It has multiple areas to suit most peoples taste. The food is good for pub food at reasonable prices. It has live bands and cover shows as well as a gaming area, a restaurant and sports bar.

It's a quaint local pub. The menu has been reduced in recent times, but it has the standard pub grub. An average selection of drinks, but depending on the night and who's working, kids can sometimes get a free drink — great customer service at any time. Friday nights see a children's entertainer come in to entertain the kids — a great diversity of Cowboys, fairies and pixels, or magicians. Free unlimited arcade games, though one of the guns in Point Blank doesn't shoot at all. Classic table-top arcade games like Galaga, Donkey Kind and Pengo. Look out for the shop-a-dockets — you can get either a free main meal or a main for as low as $3.00! Good range of cover bands, mostly retro and 80s.

and It was a great venue for That's Good For Footy Show. And
the staff working there are very nice and helpful too. And I
recommend this place for friends and family to have a nice time.

We went to the Burvale last night for dinner in the bistro. The food was great when it finally arrived — one and a quarter hours later. 2 meals came and our friends finished them and ours were still no where in sight. The staff said they were busy, yet the bistro was not full and we booked. So realistically they knew how many people to cater for. Plus don't advertise lobster on the tables when it is not available. As for the bar — like other reviews on here, not enough staff serving the customers. But I will say that the food was great.

Staff are nice. The place could do with a clean though. The carpet is disgusting.

Had the scotch fillet for lunch at this hotel. Fries were good but the steak was a bit overcooked.

They do a pretty decent Parma, but be prepared to wait if you go for lunch on a Friday as they only ever have one person taking orders.

Good value drinks. Good live music. Bar is a bit tired though and the pinball hasn't been working for weeks.

I always have a nice meal at the Burv. The staff are lovely and the meals generally come out quite quickly.

Bistro is extremely dated, food service slow and average tasting unfortunately. Very large venue and may be great for functions.

Had Christmas lunch there food selection was great good choice to south everyone great desserts it was a great day will go next year.

Been here twice. 1st time room 10 2nd time room 14 Please fix bathroom door in room 14. It doesn't lock.

It was a lovely hotel, though I wasn't satisfied with the dirty table. But a lovely backyard, and I thought the checkout was very funny, since it was just to leave the key on the table and leave! Simple but lovely.

Good place for a counter meal for lunch or dinner. Food is usually quite good. Service can get a little slow at times.

Tackleberry the band that plays there every friday night are the best. Great misicans and awsome entertainers.
