Lovely Spas in the Delux rooms amazing garden only thing missing was a pool or we would have stayed another night and not gone out, then back home that night. However the garden on a hot summer night provided my husband a perfect background to give me my late xmass pressie a new engagement ring after a short seperation while the young kids played looking for fairy's.

What a pleasant surprise this place is! Who would believe you could have such an awesome wedding venue — PLUS accommodation — literally minutes form the city down the Eastern Freeway? I have done many weddings here (as a celebrant) and every single one has been fabulous — even one in the pouring rain! In fact, they probably go the best photos LOL Can highly recommend!

Stayed for 2 nights was a great location, very pretty. Should have a sign saying which room are which way as it took myself and my partner 10 minutes to find our room in the dark and rain, also need new pillows they were pretty flat. Other then that, it was a fantastic stay and we will be coming back.

I had money stolen from my room, although the night itself was very enjoyable.

Great food and plenty of it, friendly wait staff and a lovely atmosphere. Garden is beautiful at night.

We attended this venue for a friends wedding. To begin with the venue offered guests attending the special rate of $130 a night if booking for the wedding however upon looking online we found a rate for $90 and once we told the other guests who had already prebooked and paid with the venue the venue advised them they could not refund even though they got it for there “special rate” at a higher cost. For this reason we decided to not stay at all. The venue itself had plenty of off street parking for guests. We did go up and look at the lead in room a friend had book and we are glad we did not pay $130. The room was outdated and run down and certainly not worth that much money but seeing as it was a wedding it would have been convenient to stay there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful during the night. The actual grounds of the property is maintained well and the garden and chapel area were the ceremony occurred was beautiful and filled with fairy lights. The reception venue was nice and the heating was great considering how cold it was outside. The food though was well below average. All meals served barely had any sauce and the food being very dry it was very hard to digest. Overall not a good experience but the staff saved the night for there good service.

We attended a friends wedding at the Elizabeth Lodge, we were impressed with the hidden size of the complex and the nice chapel and Receiption there. The location was conviently near a freeway / tollway exit.

Yesterday we celebrated our daughter’s wedding in Elizabethan Lodge. The service was amazing! All the staff was really friendly and helpful. The venue is so nice and cosy! We are more than happy to recommend this venue!

Today I did my 4th wedding, as a celebrant, at this venue, and every single one has been unique, warm, loving and brilliant! The chapel is gorgeous — and a great size; has a music system that can take ALL devices; has a great heater (! ) and the staff are marvellous! It was great working with Kayla today — so professional and unflappable — even when the wrong cable had inadvertently been plugged in for the music (not her fault! ). Can highly recommend this place as a wedding venue (which is how today's couple got there LOL). Especially if you need accommodation. How luxurious for today's guests to simply roll out of the reception, and slink off to their rooms, without even a drop of rain falling on their little heads! Can't beat that!

I attended my friend wedding at Elizabethan Lodge. It is a nice setting. Friendly staff members. Nice yards also.

We we're looking at Elizabeth Lodge as a potential venue for our son and future daughter in law's wedding. It is amazing. Everything they want in the one location, for an excellent price. The wedding Chapel is just beautiful, and the main reception room is just stunning. We are very excited at the prospect of planning our wedding with the lovely staff there. Debbie was just so lovely to meet with.

This is one of the best places we've ever stayed. The suite was quiet and clean, the entire team went above and beyond to make our stay amazing, and the gardens are just beautiful all in all 5 highly recommended.

Comfortable & clean place to stay. House keepers are wonderful and very helpful.

Place is a bit dated. Food is inoffensive, but not great. Drinks list is very sad! Also, in a first for me I couldn't even stomach the strange off-brand post-mortem soft drink they service with my own booze.

We recently had our wedding at Elizabethan Lodge and found the staff and their attention to detail amazing. They offered sound advice and as a result our day proceeded without a hitch, it was perfect and most our guests were able to stay the night as well. I did find the suite dated but it was clean, and presentable. All in all I would recommend Elizabethan Lodge to anyone planning a wedding.

Booking in was easy. Picking up the key was a horrible experience. Was told that it's a 24/7 counter. After I booked in and paid, was told they might not be open at 8pm when I got there and to call and confirm before 5:30pm if they would be… Which I did. The lady behind the counter seemed like a back packer and really had no idea what was happening. Directions to room were bad with no markers along the way. Room was mostly clean but that's all that was going for it. The spa when we used it showed lots of dirt that hadn't been cleaned. The tiles didn't get the water to the drain plug on the bathroom floor, instead they sloped into the room and made the carpet wet. No extra towels or sheets provided. The A/C was extremely hard to find out how to use it as there isn't a remote. Just a thermostat next to the unit with two separate switches to turn it off. Bed slates kept coming out. First time I sat on the bed to take off my shoes and the bed collapsed. All in all, pretty horrible experience. The good thing is it looks pretty. If that's your thing, stay here. UPDATE: I have since checked my credit card statement. I now have 3 separate billing payments made to Elizabethan Lodge. Totaling a price of $250 — I just called to ask why I have so many odd billing charges and they have not got back to me at this stage. This is pretty annoying as no contact has been made by Elizabethan Lodge in regards to why these extra payments were taken out.

Had a wonderful time at a friend's wedding here. Did was really good staff were really friendly and just let us all be a silly selves all night long leaving us to have the best time ever.

Nice place, very good for functions, weddings over 80ppl not recommended. It's get crammed and DJ's setup at the far right corner and absolutely no space if it's a big setup. Struggled real hard to setup. Parking is bit hard.

Good wedding reception venue with its own chapel for the wedding itself. Its also quite close to the eastern freeway with a fair bit of parking, making it easier to get to. There is also on-site accommodation but I didn't use it in my visit.

We came to Elizabethan Lodge for a wedding. The chapel was gorgeous, with red roses for the stained glass, and also very impressed that it wasn't actually a religious Chapel. The wedding reception building was just a few metres from the chapel, so it was very convenient too. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and very down to earth too. It was a very enjoyable wedding!

This venue is amazing! We had the best wedding at Elizabethan Lodge. The gardens are gorgeous, the reception room beautiful, the food delicious and the staff were amazingly helpful! We cannot thank them enough. The staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The onsite accommodation was so convenient as so many of our guests (including ourselves) travelled from interstate so we all stayed the night and got to continue the wedding celebrations. Cannot recommend this venue more highly.

Hi, I am writing to thank the manager Andrew and staff particularly Dearna for the second to none service and hospitality at our daughters wedding. From our first meeting Andrew was more than helpful and willing to accommodate our needs and budget for our daughters big day. He gave us confidence and security that the big day was completely under control. Following the booking we were delighted to be able to deal with Dearna who made all of the details and processes clear and easy to follow and along with our daughter and her now husband we were so pleased in how it all worked so easily. On the wedding day the weather was not especially favorable but the staff at elizabethan lodge made it a bright and sunny experience. … The ceremony and reception were faultless and the food was first class to say the least. The service to tables and bar was excellent and all of our friends and family could not speak highly enough of the night, including the accommodation which was clean comfortable and so convenient for many of the traveling guests and for us wanting to have a good time and have a few drinks and not drive. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending elizabethan lodge for anyone considering a wedding or function and can not speak highly enough of the team and managers ; andrew and dearna, they made the day a great one.

I attended my friends wedding last week at Elizabethan Lodge. Wow what a beautiful venue. It was so convenient with the ceremony, reception and accommodation all in the one venue. The gardens are stunning with twinkling fairy light trees that were amazing at night. The food was generous and delicious and the staff were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. Such a great venue with staff that truly go out of their way to ensure everyone has a fantastic time.

What words can describe just how amazing this place was to have our Wedding day! Elizabethan staff Dearna, Maria, Debbie and Julia were only ever to happy to accommodate any of our requests. Nothing was ever a drama. Honestly made the whole experience stress free. The venue itself is remarkable whether you are in the ceremony, reception or in the gardens. This venue even has a studio room perfect for guests to take lots of fun snaps and also for the wedding party. If anyone is looking for an absolutely beautiful venue where people can stay the night and that has staff who clearly love their jobs and love helping their clients where it doesn't cost an arm and leg then this is definitely the place to have your magical day. Could not be happier with our wedding day… It was simply brilliant. Thank you to all the Elizabethan staff especially those I mentioned above.

My husband and I were married at Elizabethan lodge last month. Thank you to all the staff for making our day perfect. The chapel was amazing for our ceremony and the fairy lit gardens were amazing for night photos. The reception room was elegant and the food was so delicious. We have had many guests comment that it was one of the best weddings they have attended. Many of our family from interstate stayed in the accommodation rooms which was so handy having everything in the one venue. We also organised a buffet breakfast for everyone the day after the wedding which was a great way to end all our celebrations. Thank you so much to Andrew, Dearna, Maria, Matt, Julia and the rest of the staff at Elizabethan lodge.

My partner and I attended a friend's wedding at the Elizabethan lodge recently. On arrival the receptionist was very helpful and friendly, making the check-in fast and easy. However, as soon as we got to our room we were shocked! Whilst being advertised as a 4 star motel, the quality of our room was 1 star at best. To make mention of a few flaws; the walls had patched up holes, the carpet was extremely outdated, and we found multiple cockroaches throughout the expanse. Hoping that things would improve, we headed to a small bar/restaurant area for the 'pre-dinner drinks'. Once again, the experience was less than ideal. There was only one person serving drinks, to a group of at least 80 people — hence, my partner and I had to wait an awfully long time to be served (yes — to be served two wine glasses with lipstick stains on them! ). Once the reception commenced we were directed to a different part of the venue. The set up was quite nice, although, there was minimal room to move between certain tables as they were so close together. The waiting staff were very nice and accommodating, for the most part. However, there was an older man who worked behind the bar, who was dressed very inappropriately, and was constantly staring at guests in an unpleasant manner. In terms of the food, it was quite average. Meal sizes were small, and the plates were quite dirty. Dessert was the low point, as most tables were served ice cream that had already melted.

Went for my friend's wedding 2014. The mic didn't work during the readings and the overall ceremony outdoor. Inside, we could just hear the speeches. If you use the gardens, you can't seat many guests outdoors. You have to stand around and you cant see much. Food was not nice. The toilets are important at weddings because women use it to freshen up. It wasn't in a good state. Overall I thought this place needed a refurbishment. Visited this place around the same time to get a quote for my own wedding and the owner brought the price right down to suit our budget. I spoke to my friend about it. She was upset that she had her wedding midweek to get a cheap deal and I had received a much cheaper deal for a weekend wedding. Wedding venues need to have fixed rates. Couples can be financially challenged and they don't want to look back at their big day feeling fooled.

Good location, service was not initially very organised but they rose their standard to make up for it. A good experience in the end.

Im here now and its not a relaxing time AT ALL! The kettle is black inside, the yets in the bath don't work and the heather isn't warm at all, ooh and to top it all off, they called me this morning saying that the chef isn't working. Seriously?. How is it s hard to make sure things are in working order? I actually hate it here, I have my 6 month old daughter with me and its to freezing to go for a walk to find something to eat seeing as I don't drive. I'll never book here again. I advise people to do the same.

If you are making a booking because of the internet access. Don't. I am at the Elizabethan Lodge now and have been for the past 2 nights. Once reception closes, the internet access becomes erratic. I mean one minute connected and two minutes disconnected. When I rang reception this morning they knew all about it and said all I could do was sit in reception where the access is wonderful. I asked if I could do that at night and they said "No. " I was expecting John Cleese to step out any minute and tell me I was the butt of some practical joke. Of course, I don't sit around the hotel all day using the internet. I am here on business and choose my accommodation based on services I need when I need them. The room is nice and the bed is comfortable, but those things pale into insignificance in light of my inability to communicate with the outside world. I am writing this review using my mobile phone as a hotspot. An expensive exercise, but what can you do.
