I asked for a ground floor room as my wife has mobility issues with stairs due to a back injury. We were allocated room 10 which has a blue badge parking space out front too. Lucky we had one. Large room, well presented, with a sofa, a table and chairs and a big comfy bed. Room was clean and tidy, as was the bathroom with fresh towels and individual soaps.
There's free teabags/coffee and biscuits with a small bar fridge with some free milk. It also contained a small selection of beer/wine/snacks available at extra cost should you wish to buy them.
The bathroom is equally large and spacious, ideal if you use a chair. The shower is totally open in one side and level with the floor, with an adjustable nozzle/hand piece shower head, and a wall mounted seat if you need it. Toilet has handholds as well.
The hotel reception is unstaffed apparently, and booking in was done over the phone. I got a text in the morning before leaving the hotel I was staying at with all my info, door keypad number etc:
Later I had a phone call to say the card I'd booked the room on had bounced. — I had actually been saving on another card to pay for hotels and stuff, and offered to pay over the phone there and then, but the young lady said she would call in before we checked out the next day.
This was handy as the one problem we found was that the door to the room was in the corner, under the balcony for the second floor and was in total darkness. (like black hole of Calcutta dark!
