Alexandra Place

Stayed at Alexander Place Motel in Bendigo and found it to be a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The room was well equipped with a toaster, kettle and bar fridge, and the Wi-Fi worked well throughout our stay. The modern bathroom was a highlight, featuring a large shower and plenty of space.
Parking was easy, and the motel's location next to the Lake View Hotel made it very convenient for meals and drinks without needing to drive anywhere.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the after-hours access codes provided made check-in simple and stress-free. The bed could have been a little more comfortable, but overall it was a pleasant stay that offered good value and convenience. Would happily stay again when visiting Bendigo.

Pleasantly surprised by the modern and pristine unit we stayed in. Lovely bed and sheets, all necessities on hand, including ironing board and hairdryer. No noise at night. Close to CBD.

Great affordable place to stay right in the centre, rooms are nice and bathroom modern — I think the price reflects the room quality. I liked the check in feature where you're just texted your door code etc, it made it a seamless check in service where you don't have to physically check in at the front desk. Will be back again.

As an overnight business motel stay, this was ok. The bed was comfortable enough, the parking was very good, and it was quiet. I think there are drainage problems though, as there was a smell coming from the drain in the bathroom. It had a stocked minibar, which is somewhat surprising to me, so that was a plus if you like that kind of amenity. Overall, this was ok and quite serviceable, but a bit dated for my taste.

Nice central located motel with a vibrant hotel next door who have great meals. Rooms very clean good value for a one night stay on a long WE $140.00, just off the main road very quite and a 3 minute drive to the Capital theater where we went to see Human Nature. Will definitely use again.

We were in the terrace. The people were friendly, the laundry amd kictchen were clean. The location was fantastic. Only downside was the lighting was dark. Lights weren't bright enough.

I’ve stayed here multiple times when I’ve been visiting Bendigo.
The rooms are clean, a good size and the team are responsive.

The room was nice. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was very effective. The shower was clean and the water pressure was great and the water was nice and warm.
Not having any human interaction to pay and check in and check out took away from the experience.
For me I felt that the location of the motel was too far away from the centre of the city.

Alexandra Place — excellent value. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, very clean and fresh looking. Very quiet and beds easy to sleep in. Location is very good — had a good meal at Lake View Hotel next door and walked into town for an ice cream for dessert. Tram Cafe nearby was ideal for breakfast and coffee. An issue with the entry code was addressed promptly and pleasantly.

Have stayed at this hotel many times when visiting Bendigo.

Very clean large room. Comfortable. Easy check in. Couch. Table and chairs. Easy parking undercover. Great experience.

I had a great stay! Check-in was super easy and fuss-free. I loved that the door pin was sent straight to my phone, so there was no need to wait around for keys or reception. The room was comfortable, and the shower pressure was amazing! The location was also perfect, close to everything I needed. The only minor downside was the soundproofing, as I could hear a bit of noise from outside, but it definitely didn’t take away from an overall enjoyable and convenient stay.

Lovely room (we had the two bedroom suite). Checkin and checkout was simple and easy and our hosts were gracious and accommodating to our needs.

Room was very clean and tidy, great location, easy walking distance to city centre. Staff easy to deal with and very friendly. Contactless check in very convenient.

I had a terrible experience choosing to stay here when I had to travel for work on my birthday. I booked the spa studio to treat myself, as being away from loved ones on my birthday sucked. A spa and a movie night is a good choice.
Wifi didn't work in my room, meaning the movie night was off. I also had to leave the site to complete some work, tracking down Wi-Fi in a local restaurant.
The plug for the spa didn't seal, so I couldn't fill up the bath. Spa was off the cards now, too.
The staff had messaged me from a phone number during the day "if you need anything use this number" and were responsive about the Wi-Fi. They offered me a partial refund due to the Wi-Fi. 2 weeks later, nothing has happened.
When I reported the issue with the spa, I got a rude response about not following reporting processes (apparently a different number). I don't know about you, but when I travel somewhere, I'd rather the room just have what its meant to have and not for me to have to worry about reporting processes. A simple apology and acknowledgement of how disappointing this was would have been enough.
I won't stay again and I suggest you don't either.

I love the convenient location of Alexandra Place. It has free charging for our Tesla. Its an older Motel but spotlessly clean.
Right next door to a very good Pub with good Pub food.
Just around the corner is great coffee and delicious breakfast at Percy and Percy. Both places no more than a 5 minute walk.
Also an interesting walk to the gardens and the Art Gallery.
The old Tram runs right out the front.
I highly recommend for a weekend or day or 2 through the week.

Wonderful stay. 10/10. Nice and clean, central to all we needed. Amazing hosts who went above and beyond for me. Would stay again and again.
