Avoca Motel

THIEVES!
Booked a room there, arrived to find it was double booked. Candice said she would contact booking. Com to issue a refund. 2 weeks later find out she never called them and we had to chase up the refund ourselves. Pathetic behaviour.

Stayed in room 4, lovely surprise! So comfortable and clean! The owner is lovely and so welcoming. Would definitely stay there again!

Lovely clean motel for an older establishment. Very spacious rooms and extremely comfortable bed. My only negative was the shower being a prefabricated shower was quite small and hard to step up into as I have a broken spine. Water pressure was fantastic. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again on our next visit to Avocoa.

Nice clean rooms and grounds. Close to the main shopping area. Helpful, friendly staff who are more than happy to help you with anything. 👍☺️👍

The room is a good size, has what you need. The shower is a little small.
Was disappointed when we lost hot water mid shower, and it didn't go back on until we were leaving the next day.
Communication is non-existent. We cannot comment on how the staff are because we never saw them. They do not answer phones. To bad if you need to ask a question because they just do not reply to messages either.
The best thing is the take away shop Around the corner. They have fabulous food.

We were a group of 10 cyclists on a bike tour, the staff could not have been more accomodating or welcoming. They gave us a secure place to store our bikes and an extra room a short notice. They also contacted me when something was left in one of the rooms and offered to post it back to us. Above and beyond!

Do not book here. I rang this place 8 times the day before and left messages on their answering service. I did not get a single curtesy reply call. I sent an email the day before driving for 3 hours and did not get a reply to the email. I arrived at the Reception. It had several messages stuck on the front door. I knocked. I rang the bell — nothing. I then rang "Candice:" who informed me that they were full. Despite Booking. Com showing 3 rooms available. Candice informed me that I could not have those rooms as they "Smelt bad of mould! " I then spoke to some local people and they advised that alot of travellers have experienced the same scenario at this place and they all went elsewhere. There are only 2 motels in Avoca. I highly recommend the other one and its cheaper — and no mould!

Stayed here for 3 nights in July, it's a lovely place with spacious room. The place was clean and well cared for, the owners and workers were very friendly and attentive, surpassing all other motels I've stayed at. It's pretty much all you can ask for in a small town like Avoca, close to the center, great hospitality, and adequate amenities for your stay. Restaurants, bars and convenience stores are also just minutes away, would definitely recommend!

Owner parents do the clean that are so rude and arrogant.
Charge sheets every 3 day.
Lots of cockroaches and dunny smell.
But the worst is the attitude of the mother who one minute is the cleaner and the boss and so rude we spent $800
Plus dollars there and would advise anyone to stay else ware.
Duty bbq and rundown appear nice the manager but you can see they hate there jobs and have no customers relationship and take question as criticism and get very nasty.
Sorry for bad review but do by stay there.

Nice quiet tucked away motel run by a lovely couple who are super accommodating. Spend 90% of my time on the road working and I’ll be adding this one to my list of places to have a comfy quiet stop within walking distance of shops, supermarket and the local pub which does good meals also.

Had a delightful stay at the Avoca Motel. Candice was delightful to deal with and able to accomodate last minute changes to my booking. Rooms were spotless and really well appointed. Very quiet too and a great nights sleep. Thank you.

Very practical place to stay in the centre of town. Very friendly and responsive staff, who were always happy to help. Quiet rooms with plenty of space. Good price, quiet location. Only downside is that no breakfast is offered and the options in the township are limited.

Great, reasonably priced and clean rooms. Good place to rest while travelling Pyrenees wine country. Dated and basic, beds are very comfortable.
