Had a beautiful lunch there on Sunday.
we had a senior meal and it was so good, the steak was so tender and the pepper gravy was the best I've ever had. The staff were so nice and Jacky who looked after our table couldn't have been more helpful. With the covid restrictions everything ran smoothly thanks to their lovely staff. Highly recommended the Gateway.

Had a lovely lunch to today. It was nice and hot. The service was 100% It was very weird as we had the whole place to ourselves.
I recommend Gateway Hotel.

I went to see Conrad Sewell live. Venue was excellent, cool temperature inside which was great, great. For listening to live music and they supplied free bottled water.

Everytime we visit geelong we love eating at the gateway. Amazing venue and amazing food and service.

We have always gone to Gateway for the past 6 years when we visit geelong. It’s always been nice food & lovely atmosphere but this time was absolutely horrible. The food was so bad, we left after a small plate. NEVER ever again!

Would not allow cheaper price for an adult that wouldn’t eat any more than a kid after surgery was happy to pay senior price for not much food but they said no Not a regular anymore take my business elsewhere.

We ducked in for a bite to eat this evening and were greeted by Mandy and Mel whom were extremely welcoming with lovely big smiles. It has certainly been a long time since I have encountered such amazing customer service! Our meals were generous portions and were absolutely delicious. We thanked the ladies when leaving but please pass on our gratitude for a lovely experience, we will be back ⭐️⭐️

First time coming here Fantastic I would defiantly come back for a meal next time in down in Geelong and the staff were so friendly.

The place was nice and clean and the food displays looked great but all the food I took back to the table was luke warm. I was very concerned of the possibility of getting food poisoning. Thankfully no one did following eating here. Range of food was limited. Staff were nice and friendly.

Accommodation is definitely not what you expect from the photos on the website. Booked here because of the play equipment for the kids to have something to do whilst here only to find it is only open during dinner hours. Very disappointed and not feeling overly safe staying here with children.

Very disappointing when you pay extra for tickets to see a band and you have general admission that get to come and stand in front of you and you can not see at all. What is point of paying extra for better views and cant see anything. Needs better floor planing. Very very disappointing. For everyone for next time just get the cheaper tickets and you get the best view. This is beyond a freaking joke.

There is a good selection of food in the 'all you can eat'. The food is okay. Lots of space.

Good place for $26. Saves the washing up and foods pretty good. Wide selection including roast meat. Ice cream or fruit salad for desert as well as pannacotta and choc mousse.

Arrived at 1pm. We are a family of 6 so cost us over $100 being a Saturday! Half the buffet trays were empty so asked the waitress when they would be replenished only to be told “when all the rest is gone”. Staff all then helped themselves to a plateful and left the area leaving only a single waitress left clearing tables. Not long after a scruffy looking man carrying a toilet seat walked out of the kitchen area! So food that was available was not being replenished and monitored & a man with a toilet seat walking out of the kitchen — yeah not really up to food standards! Not impressed & sure won’t be going back! Feel very ripped off!

Went at 5.30 to eat, just 2 adults and a 1 year old. Waited 10 minutes in line to be told once we got to the counter that they were booked out and couldn't give us a table when the place was currently empty. I understand that later they would be full but it wasn't as if we were going to sit there 2 hours or even an hour.

We had our grandfathers 90th birthday here. We reserved 2 long tables and brought our own cake/balloons. The buffet was great, felt like Christmas lunch, something for every taste. The staff were fabulous and everything ran smoothly.

Great receptionist. Have stayed there before and have never had any problems. It's not a six star hotel but for a very clean room, place to lay your head and not a bad (well you get what you pay for all you can eat buffet) spread of food. All in all I would definitely be staying there when next in Geelong.

Excellent quality delicious lunch. All you can eat. Seniors $14. Casual atmosphere, lovely staff. Other pricing options available also. Was just passing through and stumbled upon the Hotel. Lots of entertainment coming up.

Went to the 'Hotter than hell' tour that was held at the gateway. I was a bit skeptical about attending the event at this venue as I was worried it wouldn't be set up very well. But to my surprise the event was managed very well, the layout was good the security was good, ample toilets and food. Had a great time. Would definitely attend an event here again!

The food was yummy. We met up to enjoy the all you can eat. We all ate as much as we wanted and everyone was satisfied. Only one food item was not to my liking and some of the others had an item or two they don't like but that's just saying that there is such good that you can pick and choose to your liking and this is a good thing. The place was cleaned and the staff were very attentive. It was a nice place to go for dinner with friends and family.

Stayed 1 night here and spent most of the time concerned about my safety. The inside of the hotel room door has two signs — the phone number for Corio Police and emergency services in case of an emergency and the other sign lists what the hotel is liable or not liable for should there be a break in to the hotel unit or the guests vehicle. Indicating the property is susceptible to crime and this is validated by other reviews confirming vehicle break-ins. The hotel is a large building situated in the middle of a large car park and transit area to a main highway and on the day I was there, there was a police car with sirens on chasing another car through this transit area and there were other cars driving through at the time. In terms of the room, it is fine if you are in transit and will be there for a short stay (and if you are happy to accept the risk of a break-in) but I wouldn't recommend longer.

The all you can eat bistro is the only part I've experienced, so I'll review based on that. It used to be amazing. However, they've stripped down their food offering… Twice! It's probably has only half as many buffet serveries as 6 years ago, and yet they've put up the price. The food is fairly ordinary, some is delicious, some is very sub par. The payment desks card reader can't accept tap. They say, it must be your card, and yet my card works just fine at their bar and 100 other places I use it. I reported to then that their card reader is faulty. 1 year later, it still isn't fixed. The plate collection staff are very good and friendly. The all you can eat is it's unique selling point.

Went for Christmas dinner was absolutely revolting. Paid $65 per head for what looked like seconds or leftovers from the lunch, the staff couldn't be bothered and while some were friendly others were bored and the service was non existent. If you are going to charge $65 for a Christmas meal, then make it festive, and make people feel welcome.

Amazing place with superb prices and pleasant atmosphere. We ate at we wanted for lunch on our holiday down that way and went back three days later for another round. Pleasant staff and clean facilities with an awesome buffet of all you can eats. Would go back anytime I'm down that way…

The all you can eat buffet is the drawcard for this venue. While it is still good value, unfortunately over the last year and a half they have removed some of the food selection, which stops me giving a five star rating. All the staff are very pleasant. The desserts can be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes they are great, but often they are average. Don't eat the rocky road slice unless you enjoy trying to hack through chocolate that seems stronger than concrete.

Absolutely Great. All you can eat, kids ate free Monday night but still a family deal Mon to fri $60 family! Cant feed a family for under that and be stuffed full of food. Great range of food! Kids room and there was a guy making balloon animals for all the kids, telling clean jokes to us and the kids, was a great laugh! Wonderful time with the family. Thank you.

Can't say it's cheap but for an all you can eat place the food is good.

I can recommend the Gateway. I visited the hotel for the buffet lunch, all I can say is 'yum'. The price was inexpensive, and the food hot and fresh. Plenty on offer from pizza slices to pasta to roasts to fried food. Noteable is the 2 or 3 stirfries available, all that I tasted were tasty. The buffet is well worth the effort to have for lunch or dinner.

We always enjoy our meal and the gaming room. When my husband was still with us we enjoyed staying in the motel. Thank you for your hospitality.

Not bad for the price but it's hit and miss. If they have a lot of bookings the food will be superior than if they're quiet. Also $100 for a family of four is pushing the envelope.

Great Old Fashioned Motel. Very quiet and comfortable. Loses one star because of the outdated, noisy air conditioning units. Unusual… breakfast — in-a-box included in the room rate. Very good value all-round.

Good food and customer service however the bed was not clean after I found a book under my blanket so the Sheets weren't clean obviously. Had a talk to the lady at the front counter and was made to put new sheets on myself. Was supposed to stay here for 3 nights. Now only one. Half a toilet roll and shower gels and shampoo bottles still sitting on top of the shower wall. Not impressed. Cleaners had the weekend off it seemed like.

The restaurant here is buffet style and very reasonably priced. The menu is assorted with your standard roasts, assorted snack foods (Nuggets and chips) as well as Asian Style. Also has amazing desserts and a soft serve machine.

The place was very clean and the service was excellent. Im not a food type of person. However, I would give the food a 3 star out of 5 best. It's not because the food was bad, but because some of the food was mediocre like the pasta and the desserts. Anyways I would recommend it cause duh an open buffet, good price and excellent customer service.

I had a great meal with the all you can eat. Wide variety of well cooked dishes to choose from. Staff were very efficient in clearing your empty plates. Kids had a great time in playroom and kids entertainer. There is something for everyone. Great experience.

Wow where to start… Boring Luke warm food in the restaurant, no flavour in any of the dishes, sat under heat lamps all day and somewhat resembled sultanas. Not even a hint of positivity in the deserts, a waste of $22 which is the price of lunch. Staff looked bored and uninterested, — 1 star for their attitude terrible customer service. Don't even bother.
