Review of Pelican Sands Scamander 4*

I am the owner/operator of this property and take this opportunity to respond to the "review". We make every effort to please each and every guest we welcome to our property. I am not sure what to say to this review, other than it is not accurate in it's content. The weather at the time was terrible, raining with a gale force wind warning and a "SE buster" blowing, yes the windows probably did rattle in these conditions. The photos on the website are of the actual rooms, I am not sure how better to represent what we offer. The rooms have been recently refurbished a a high standard, are fully self contained with new kitchens and bathrooms and are clean definately clean, I should know as I clean them myself. We do our own laundry on site and I even iron the sheets. The rooms face the water, providing direct access from the front lawn of the property onto the sand — allyway — what allyway. The property is directly on the waterfront and as such is exposed to the elements. This guest did not see Scamander at it's best due to the weather. He did approach us and ask for a refund, but could not or would not give a reason other than his wife did not like it. Had there been a genuine reason, we would have not hesitated. Our property was fully booked at the time and this guest was the only one who had a negative comment. It is interesting to note the comment allegedly made by my husband relating to targeting the packpackers market; completely untrue, We are proud of our property; have spent a lot of time & money to present it as well as we can and are saddened by the viciousness of this review.
