Ross B&B Accommodation

We stayed for one night…the room was well laid out. There was ample furniture and the bed was comfortable.
They provide some kitchen equipment, microwave and toaster.
The room was very clean and it was quiet. We used the shared laundry, $4 for a wash load and no charge for the dryer. The village is Ross is quaint.

Spent a night here close to Christmas 2025. Room was comfortable with a lot of space. There was a guest laundry although we didn’t use it. Although the pub was closed (Christmas or renovation) there was a food truck open for dinner around 6pm.
In the morning a bakery was open with pies and coffee etc….

An absolute delight to have spent a night here (wish it was longer).
The grounds are so well maintained with colourful arrays of seasonal flowers and greenery. There are also the most adorable resident bantam chickens (and chicks) that freely wander around the grounds, along with duckies too.
The room itself was a spacious 2-bedroom cottage (#7), each with a large very comfy bed, table & desk and TV. My room also had an additional smaller child-size single bed which would be perfect for a smaller individual.

Lovely setting. Very quiet. Very comfy and clean room. We arrived early and the owners were out but quickly sorted our room by text message. Located very close to the centre of Ross for access to cafe's and the tourist must see highlights (inc the Ross Bridge).

Beautiful place, very spacious room, perfectly clean and well kept, excellent location near the river and historical bridge, could easily walk to everything. Lady at Reception was very helpful. Highly recommend.

This lovely accommodation exceeded our expectations. Immaculately clean and spacious units in lovely garden setting — complete with chickens, ducks and ducklings. Highly recommend if looking for somewhere to break the journey between Launceston and Hobart. The beautiful village and the Ross Bakery was an added bonus.

Riverview at Ross was a wonderful stay, Emily was super friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable with chairs out the front for an afternoon drink or cuppa. Bed are super comfortable and just what was needed after a drive.
Short walk around the corner to the bakery and pub with some great local shops and historical sites to check out. A great stop on a road trip.

We loved our stay at Riverview @ Ross! The room was super clean, oh so quiet and comfy, and the peaceful river view when stepping outside our room was just magic. The host was awesome and made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. It’s such an amazing place to stay — quiet, relaxing, and just a short stroll into the Main Street of Ross. We’ll definitely be back — we loved our stay!

It's always lovely when a place exceeds your expectations. I booked into the Riverview at Ross Motel because I wanted to break the bus journey between Hobart and Launceston and because people had told me what a gorgeous Georgian gem the town was.
It IS a gorgeous Georgian gem full of exquisite architecture and historic sites but the nice surprise was the Riverview at Ross Motel where I spent 2 nights. The rooms give you everything you need and offer a cosy refuge on a cold Tasmanian night. They're as clean as a whistle.
Emily, the hostess, was so helpful and keen to make sure my stay was great. She gave me fresh milk (always a treat), an umbrella, and helped me with tourism information. Even better, because I was on the bus, she timed check-in and check-out to fit in with the bus timetable so I didn't have to hang around town with a suitcase for a couple of hours at both ends of my stay.
The motel is right on the banks of the Macquarie River and it was lovely sitting out and watching the sun set over the hills while the frogs and the ducks did their thing in the water.
Excellent value, great location just around the corner from the main street, very quiet, too. Highly recommended.

Warm, clean, and comfortable. It’s equipped with a fridge, microwave, and toaster, though there’s no sink or kitchenette.
The river view at sunset is stunning—a truly peaceful and unforgettable scene.
The only thing that could be improved is the bathroom heat timer—it turns off a bit too quickly.

A beautiful room. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Emily was very helpful in giving us tips on where to eat both in and out of Ross. We would definitely stay again.

Ross motel is under new ownership so don’t be put off by old reviews. I couldnt fault it. Room was comfortable, scrupulously clean and thoughtfully supplied with everything I needed including quality bathroom products. Copious hot water and nice powerful heat pump for winter — and electric blankets, which many hotels don’t supply now. Added bonus of welcoming staff and friendly chickens! Well done Ross Motel 🩷

Lovely clean smart looking hotel. Owners and staff friendly. Close to Ross bridge, female penitentiary, scallop pies, wool museum and places to eat. Beds and shower so comfortable. Do your washing here. The town is marvelous. Just a real nice area.

This is a beautiful clean and well run motel. I was very impressed with the thoughtfulness put into each aspect of the rooms and the facilities. Very well decorated, comfortable beds and scrupulously clean. Lovely, friendly and helpful reception upon arrival.

Ross is a charming, small, historic town. It gets plenty of tourists, but is well worthwhile visiting, and the Riverview at Ross motel is a very good place to stay. In contrast to much of the town, it is quite modern, but what it lacks in antique charm it makes up in comfort, cleanliness and quiet. It is on a quiet back street, looking out over the countryside, and only a few minutes walk from the famous convict-built stone bridge. The receptionist was very helpful and booked us a table for dinner at the local pub; good pub food and very busy. Very pleasant stay.

Great spot for trout fishing, close to the hotel just a beautiful spot to unwind.
Also has a caravan park with 3 units.
