AAA Granary Accommodation

We recently stayed in a three-bedroom cabin and were deeply disappointed by the lack of maintenance. The "game and gym room" felt like a safety hazard, featuring broken weight machines, a pool table with only one cue, a broken trampoline, and a non-functional spa and sauna. Additionally, the provided bicycles were rusted and unusable.
The interior was equally neglected; many kitchen utensils were too rusted to use, when you sat on the sofa it felt as if you were sitting on the floor. Externally, the cubby house had broken, dangerous steps. It is a real shame to see a property with such great potential falling into such disrepair. Would not recommend.

We stayed at this lovely Airbnb near promise land, and it was an absolute gem! The cozy two-room villa had such a charming 90s vibe that made us feel right at home. After a wonderful day exploring Cradle Mountain, we spent the evening playing board games and laughing our hearts out — it was pure joy. The real highlight, though, came at night when we stepped outside and saw the sky filled with countless stars — absolutely breathtaking and unforgettable.

Check in was simple. Drove up, we were met outside reception and guided to our accomodation in the "Rose" cottage. Advertised Fast Wifi — Was lucky to make it to 10mbps off peak time. The appliances in the house/unit were relatively new and worked. The Paint on the roof was flaking off. The electric blanket was unusable in the bedroom with Ensuite that I used as the lead was split, I mentioned this to my trip planner unsure if passed on.
There was 3 friendly asses and a friendly Highland cow. The Horse and other Highland cow were a bit antisocial. The surrounding area and views were nice, but the disrepair just brought it down for me.

This accomodation was ok. It is very run down and needs a lot of TLC. Kitchen was well appointed and access to laundry was wonderful. Air-conditioned so quite comfortable. Ceiling is peeling in most rooms, tired decor. Absolutely stunning view. Animals are lovely, donkeys, horse and two highland cows. At the back door! The secret garden and playground area as well as the play room are all rather warn and run down, again in need of some attention. Could be an amazing place!

Great accommodation! The dad's cottage was exactly what we expected. The gorgeous cows we had for entertainment were amazing. Our host was delightful and full of helpful information. So much other wildlife around too. Had a great time there and will happily come back!

You can do Laundry, cooking, reading good books and the best part for me after long day adventuring the bed and pillows are very comfy the owner/the host is also lovely and welcoming, we'll definitely be back ☺️

Great view of Mt Roland, handy to Cradle Mountain. Stayed in 4 bed Cabin, like staying at Grandma's for the night. Definately needs some TLC. Farm Animals were the highlight of the stay, they came running for pats, very friendly. Supplies available in nearly Shiefleld. Staff welcoming and helpful with info getting to the mountains.
Cabins need updating.

Fantastic stay. Canin had everything we needed. Donkeys, chickens, bulls, horses all super friendly. I definitely recommend this place, short drive to town and also Davenport. Friendly owners. I would definitely return but next time without the small kids. Thankyou.

What a wonderful surprise this stay was! Our party of five consisted of grandparents, parents and a 5 year old. We had come from Western Australia with our main destination on this part of our Tasmania tour being Cradle Mountain.
Our beautiful farmstay here provided a lovely three bedroom cottage, with all conveniences, comfortable beds and hot water with strong pressure which provided great showers.
Our rooms faced onto a large paddock with amazing views of Mt Roland. There was a selection of beautiful farm animals: A horse, three donkeys and two, longhorn Scottish cattle. Chickens and ducks wandering around the gardens and, of course, native wildlife of pademelons that we saw during the day and, no doubt, plenty of their nocturnal marsupial cousins if we had ventured out at night!
It was a 45 minute drive to Cradle Mountain but this was not onerous during the day but required a bit more cautious driving on the way home because of the wildlife on the road. Not dangerous to us but for the poor animals!
All of us agreed that this was a great place to spend four days and offered great access to the nearby town of Sheffield and a slightly longer drive to Davenport. The local scenery of lush, green pastures on rolling hills and native forests was a delight!

Our family loved staying here. Sure it’s a little run down but it’s warm and cozy. Beds were comfy and had electric blankets. It reminded me of staying at grandmas house back in the day. View of mountains is amazing. We had a lovely visit from a horse and some ducks. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing location, the view from the Rose Cottage (4bdrms) is absolutely stunning.
The house was cozy and clean, great to have the bbq on the balcony as well and who welcomed us was really kind, helpful and welcoming.

The most amazing views of cradle mountain and the wild life was exceptional.
The kitchen had a broken door but did not take way anything from the wonderful experience.

The surrounding area and the views were stunning. The staff were lovely, super friendly and very helpful.
No complaints whatsoever.

Although a very short 2 night stay, I enjoyed myself tremendously. We were assigned a 2 bedroom cottage right at the end of the driveway and I really appreciate the privacy. The cottage is clean, organised and well equipped with everything you need for a cosy stay, there is even a bbq pit in the deck. If there is only one thing to feedback it would be that the mattresses are on the soft side, however that’s not a dealbreaker.
The highlight is the fantastic view of Mt Roland from the backyard, be prepared to be wowed with amazing sunrises, sunsets and cute animals visiting you!

In order to visit Cradle Mountain we travelled to this place to stay overnight for a reasonable price but realized it was a mistake. It is about 45 minutes away from Cradle Mountain. Travel after sundown is no no. Large numbers of nocturnal animals on the road with potential vehicle damage. The accommodation overall was a rundown shak from the outside. And inside facilities are not great. Visitors to Cradle Mountain are better off paying the price for accommodation at CR.

Gorgeous location and absolutely amazing view. The nature vibe is really worth it!
So much potential for this place but needs lots of repairs. The cottages are a bit rundown but still cozy.
We had a good stay here, this place would be MUCH better than the Promised Land if it could be given some TLC.

Great place to stay!
It may be a bit old, but the countryside vibes are absolutely unmatched. You can spot animals right from the cabin—truly an experience of living in harmony with nature!
