Curringa Farm

Staying at Curringa Farm for us had the wow factor. The cabin was immaculate and walking in the views are stunning. If you like to get away from it all this is the place. We also paid for a bbq dinner package and it was really tasty including a homemade apple crumble. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful rooms and location with very friendly and helpful staff. Our only regret is only booking for 1 night as stop over accommodation and not staying at least 2 nights. Definitely next time!

We had a wonderful family stay at Curringa Farm in Tasmania! Our family with 4 children stayed at the beautiful Curringa Cottage, which offered stunning views of the lake and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Sophie was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable, guiding us through the farm tours, feeding Scottish highland cows, watching Billy dog round up the sheeps. Tim was friendly and a great host, our kids absolutely loved learning about sheep shearing! We especially enjoyed the evening BBQs in our own cottage and Jane’s delicious homemade scones. Our stay feel so homely and special. Our two nights here were memorable from start to finish, and the children were genuinely sad to leave. We’ll definitely be back again.

One of the best places to stay in tasmania! The farm tour was great and everyone was sosoossoososo friendly (●’◡’●) ﾉ. The cottage that I stayed at with my family was spacious and comfortable with it being right next to honey the horse! The twin bed bedroom also faced where the sheep would roam around :D Overall this was just such a relaxing getaway :)
P. S,, ask for cards they’re the best card game to play with family. (also look for the dogs too they’re super friendly)

Curringa Farm offers a warm, authentic glimpse into Tasmanian farm life. The guided tours are engaging, the scenery is stunning, and the hosts are genuinely welcoming. Watching the sheepdog demonstrations and exploring the vast property made the visit memorable. A peaceful, charming destination perfect for nature lovers and families seeking a unique experience.

Definitely exceeded our expectations. Such a peaceful and quite spot. Cabin is really 5 stars from the bedding and bathrooms to the kitchen which is stocked with plenty of provisions and cutlery. Went on the forest walk down to the river, plenty of wildlife around.

Join the morning farm tour led by Sophie and the 2 cutest dogs ever. We got to feed the highland cows, witnessed Tim shaving a sheep, and watched Billy gathering sheeps while Lockie (think I’m spelling his name wrong) is doing on-the-job training. At last we enjoyed scones and coffee back at the house. Thanks Tim, Jane, Sophie and the doggies for the great time!

This is a must-stay place in Tasmania, especially if you are on a round island road trip. I booked this place for my stopover between Cradle Mountain and Hobart. It was my most memorable stay in Tasmania. A place so close to nature and animals (sheep, alpacas and bulls).
I arrived late in the evening from Cradle Mountain. The owner, Jane, was very kind to provide comprehensive details guiding me to my 2-bedroom cottage in the dark. The cottage was clean and spacious. Bathroom with bathtub and rain shower. Rice, corn flakes, pasta, granola as well as a bottle of fresh milk were provided in the kitchen. Interestingly, coffee machine and capsules were also available in the cottage. Complete kitchen utensils and cookware make cooking easy in the cottage.
The small letdown is unavailability of Wi-Fi in the cottage.

Absolutely spectacular. We stayed in the Wombat's Den — completely renovated, open windows looking out on the rolling hills, enough space for my partner, toddler and I. We ordered breakfast on both days and the bbq pack, which was delicious. Highly recommended.

What an amazing stay in delightful cabin with the most amazing views over beautiful farm land with grazing lambs.
Jane our host provided up with all the provisions for a very good cooked breakfast of bacon, eggs and homemade sourdough bread.
A very special place to stay.

We have been to this beautiful and calm place on the occasion of our wedding anniversary along with our children of two families. We all enjoyed the hospitality of the owners. Children discovered many things about the farming and animals and they really enjoyed the farm trip. The experience was memorable. Thank you.

We loved the farm tour, Tim was very interesting and took some amazing photos of us all. The scones and tea at the end of the tour were a definite highlight (thank you Sophie's Grandma! ) We stayed in Boobook for 1 night and it was beautiful. We were up early to see the stars and had coffee on the veranda for sunrise. Amazing stay thank you Tim and Jane!

Such a delight to stay on a real working farm in a beautiful cottage and get to know the 6th generation farmer owners Tim and Jane. We had a wonderful tour of the farm, excellent local food and a great opportunity to trade ideas about Agri-Tourism. We are so glad our friends recommended Curringa Farm and highly recommend it to any other travelers seeking a unique experience!

We loved our visit to Curringa Farm. The little cottage was so well appointed, very beautiful surrounding and cozy in winter! The Farm Tour was a real highlight, our kids just loved seeing the animals and a highlight for all of us, was seeing the sheep round up — amazing! We cannot recommend this enough, especially so close to Hobart, but a great way to experience the beautiful countryside.

Really lovely stop/stay after a long drive from Strahan in pouring rain. Jane and her dogs were lovely. We were in a too large of house for the three of us but the farm is lovely set up and very warm and welcoming on arrival. Do yourself a favour and break your trip up and stay at Curringa. It’s a beautiful location and helps our farmers out a bit.

From the get go, Tim and Jane made us feel welcome. They contacted us on email to ask about activities and for dinner options.
Upon arrival, Jane and Sophie greeted us warmly and introduced us to the property and the room. The location is huge, it was a good 3km from the reception to the room.
Along the way, there’ll be wallabies and sheep and cows if you’re lucky. There’s a nice river as well.
The rooms were spotless and very clean. We were blown away by the views from the room. And there were thoughtful touches like coffee machines and fresh milk.
When checking out, we were greeted by Tim who very graciously invited us for a quick farm tour and even made us coffee!
It was such a fantastic experience that it was the highlight of our entire Tasmanian experience!

After being in Brisbane and Sydney, we were really craving some open space and fresh, cool air — and Curringa Farm was exactly what we needed.
The accommodation is super spacious, well laid out, and looks out over beautiful, uninterrupted views of the farm. It had everything we needed and felt really relaxing and comfortable.
The farm tour was a real highlight — we all loved it, but it was especially a hit with our two-year-old daughter. She was completely in her element, and it was so fun watching her get stuck in.
Such a great spot to unwind and soak up some rural Tassie charm. Highly recommend!
