We both really loved the stay at Flotsam … great facilities, everything you need and very comfortable!

Just stayed here on 1st May 2025.
Location is nice, quiet and private. Only 2 units and we got unit 2 which seems to be the better one.
Fantastic and cosy place. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. Good Wi-Fi. Views were just amazing. We even caught the aurora at night.
Vineyard is close by. Restaurants are good too.
Craig kept us informed through agoda all throughout and welcomed us before we arrived. We felt welcome and had a fantastic stay.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to Tasmania.

We had the best stay here! what a magic place! Highly recommended. The house is so cute very Aussie and it has everything you need. The bed is super comfy and the views are amazing. There are few bakeries and few food places nearby!

This very cute cottage was conveniently located with water views from the bed and lounge room. Everything we wanted was provided, it was as if they knew us. Everything was clean, neat and new. We wished we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time.

Such a wonderful stay. Peaceful area and room was clean and beautiful. Right by the beach, beautiful views and went kayaking. The hosts are so kind and friendly. Will definitely be staying here again my next Tasmania trip.

What a stunning place surrounded by a gorgeous bay and nature. Spotlessly clean, spacious and cozy. Fantastic location for exploring the Peninsula. So much to see and do. The wood fire was ready to go when we checked in and the heater was on. Greatly appreciated.

Last minute booking, was so surprised. Great location, beautiful view and serene setting. Very clean and tidy would definitely stay again if in the area. Close to the local pub for a greet meal.

The cabins provided very comfortable accommodation just south of Dunalley with all that was needed for an overnight stay. The was a wood fire and great views of the bay and a small rocky beach below. Nice spot.

Had high expectations after reading other reviews, found the place needed a good clean as there was cob webs on the light’s, dust on skirts, food marks on the wall and shower needed a deep clean. Limited view’s of the beach which is all rock.
Kitchenette is a little tight as the only things to cook with are 2 hot plates which uses up all bench space and no BBQ facilities available.
Personally I found the place a little cluttered but found the place to be comfortable with nice evening sunsets.

Flotsam is a picturesque location and presents well in photos and reviews.
My partner and I enjoyed our stay however, I'd except for paying $200+ a night to have accommodation that's carefully cleaned/ maintained. Upon arrival there were chips scattered at the front entrance, dead moths through the bathroom, debris scattered around the floor and even a cork / champagne bottle foil left on the lounge area. We had expressed our concern on airbnb with no reply or response after 4 weeks so find it adequate to post this for anyone considering staying here.
P. S as previous reviews state the accommodation is very close to a main highway with vehicles travelling close and fast resulting in some disturbance to the serenity of the beach side get away.

We stayed 4 nights in this beautiful little cabin by the sea. Small but everything was perfect for a couple and in a great location as you enter the peninsula so works for day walks and trips round the area.
The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed including Wi-Fi. Gai the owner who we met a few times was an excellent host and kept us informed. There are a few nice restaurants nearby and vineyards within easy reach.

We stayed here for one night only in this lovely studio. Although it has a kitchen, it is close to one of the vineyards, which serves good wines and excellent food. (during the day). Great location if you want to explore the area of Port Arthur. Nice and clean and very nicely fitted out with a lot of options to sit outside too.

We absolutely loved this spot and unfortunately had just one night as our stopping off point to explore the Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur. We arrived at low tide and had a lovely time exploring the sand bars which are right in front of the studios (there are two and we stayed in Adrift). The owner Gai has done an amazing job fitting out the studios with lots of beach touches and attention to detail after her house and the original accommodation was burnt down in the 2013 fires. It’s the perfect beach shack! From what we could see the pub nearby is the only place to have dinner and it was packed to the rafters so I would recommend booking a table or bringing food to have in the studio. We left the blinds open at night which made for a sunny wake up but a beautiful view of the stars at night. Well worth a stay if you’re exploring the Tasman Peninsula. We also enjoyed a wine overlooking the gorgeous countryside at the nearby Bangor Vineyard Shed, which I can highly recommend as well :-)
