Great place to relax. Rooms very comfortable.

Second visit to Jumbucks and again it was worth the drive. Chef has a select menu and makes the best of all of them. Was in the mood for something classic and straightforward. So opted for the steak. Best I have had for a very long time.

Food looks sooo good top place to stay nowadays and so economical.

I can say it’s the best steak I’ve ever had cooked in Burra! I highly recommend the restaurant!

Rooms are a good size the restaurant was full no room for 2 more people so had dinner in the local pub also no internet service.

Another beautiful meal at jumbucks last night — this time we took our whole tribe out for dinner (brave feat with 5 kids under 10! ) and had the most lovely night out — the kids loved the fish and chips, and mum and dad loved the garlic prawns and lamb blackstrap. Delicious Deserts polished off to the last crumb. The staff were great — attentive and welcoming. Our boys loved the collectables on display. We feel so lucky to have such a lovely little restaurant here in Burra. Thanks to the crew at Burra motor inn & jumbucks restaurant for a great family night out.

Whilst the rooms are adequate, the restaurant was full and they didn't want to serve us even at a later time. Staff could smile a little.

Room nice and clean. Restaurant lovely and inviting, warm. Dinner very nice. Friendly helpful staff.

Basic, dated accomodation but comfortable. Walking distance from Burra town centre. Swimming pool out of order. Jumbuck's Restaurant a pleasant surprise, amazing collection of Australiana and train memorabilia and excellent food! Had the local lamb back strap and it was one of the best meals we'd had in a very long time, definitely recommend dining here.

Our hosts Paul & Robert showed us a wonderful night with outstanding food and relaxing ambience.
Their restaurant has a Railway theme which needs to be seen to be enjoyed full of interesting memorabilia.

We had a great night out last night at jumbucks restaurant, little hidden gem at the Burra Motel. Entrees were yum, steaks devine! Haven’t had such a beautiful steak in a long time — loved every mouth full. Service by the lovey adelaide was relaxed and attentive and the small crew did great even with an unexpectedly busy night. Glad we booked! Hope to go back soon to try the lamb backstraps!

Excellent sized very clean rooms with a great outlook over the river from out the back plus a very handy location to the towns center. Ample easy parking and the hosts were very professional and accommodating in every way. Our group chose to dine in at their in-house restaurant with the meals and service faultless. Highly recommended stay.

Room was clean and spacious but dated decor and bathroom is ready for a revamp. Air-conditioned was annoyingly loud and inadequate for the cold weather. Had to turn it off to sleep and get out the spare blanket provided. We also had to argue to get the advertised price after their online booking system failed to work. The restaurant menu was different and dearer than the menu in the room. Service was good and friendly but they had run out of the dish I wanted and the fish and chips I ordered instead was ordinary and over priced. Also the pool was still out of order but looked fine through the window.

King size bed in a quiet location overlooking the river was very restful. Lack of Wi-Fi was a tad disappointing.

Food was good. Initially music was too loud, but it was adjusted at my request.

Burra a beautiful part of South Australia We have stayed at the Burra motor inn on more than one occasion. The staff are very helpful from management to the cleaning staff. The rooms are clean and accommodating, Beds comfortable a great place to relax and have peaceful nights sleep The restaurant's Jumbuck's atmosphere is unique the food is first class a pleasure to see and eat in the decor holds interest for young and old alike local wines food. The office staff Paul & Robert just ask them for information about Burra history and or the surrounding area's other amenities in Burra the town center is a short stroll from the motel antique shops walking trails and more Well done to all the staff.

I thought it one of the worst motels for the price. Air con totally useless, to the point it started spitting out water, the noise from it seemed like I was staying on the flight path to Sydney International Airport. Pillows old and very thin… yuck! As I say, for what we were charged for two nights and the service (there was none) … it wasn't good. Maybe the owners were out of town and someone was looking after it for them… because the guy I dealt with really didn't give a… rats.
