Fantastic hotel with great food, service and ambience.

I had 3 nights late June 2022. Wow fantastic service. I was lucky to have a spa room twice. The only improvement would be a new iron and ironing board. Both were old and the iron didn't work. Meals were expensive but worth the price Thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Unfortunately, for $209/night, definitely not worth it. You can hear everything from next rooms next to you, shower head didn't work. Beds are uncomfortable, and so forth. This place has great facilities, but the accommodation is a huge key down.

Was originally planning to stay for a week, but that was extended to nearly a fortnight when I tested positive for Covid. Currently being well looked after by these excellent people!

We have come to a few shows now and I highly recommend there meals here. The rooms are very comfortable and all staff have excellent customer skills.

For food… absolutely not. I orderd a vegetarian options tonight at Ark restaurant and after waiting 40mins or more we were served cool solidified food. Refund was given begrudgingly but staff assured me they have had no complaints… Umm vegetarian dahl is not meant to stick to your eating utensils! gross, try again chef.

No vegan food and an utterly disrespectful and awful attitude toward customers as if they have to share political / moral values to be treated well there. Not how customer service works. Disgusted with the public relations here and it's enough to not only make me not want to go here again, but also to share this review and tell friends the same thing. The racist rubbish leaves a bad taste in the mouth, I think that's a fair thing to say in regards to a restaurant.

Great venue, the food was really good — definitely recommend dinner. The staff were nice, competent and very friendly and made u feel welcome — overall was a great atmosphere. Live music was great — can’t wait for Covid restrictions to ease so we can dance!

have been coming here for 6 years from our home in Bordertown. Always treated like old friends. Accommodation 1st class, food great, plenty of live entertainment. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Would absolutely recommend staying at the Arkaba! Have been staying here regularly over the last couple of years and would not stay anywhere else in Adelaide! The food is great the rooms are stunning and the beds are extremely comfortable! With excellent staff at both the front desk and the bistro it makes staying away from home a stress free process! Alex at the front desk is always helpful with settling accounts and makes checking in an absolute joy with his smile!

So nice to relax for our last 2 days before we head home… we had a spa room and it was awesome. Close enough to the city yet far enough away! All the staff were very easy to deal with. Room service was quick, and the chicken burger on the menu was delicious Thumbs up from us.

Great food. The blond male server was great, very polite, the two females not so, trying to get the dessert special was hard when one of the females was argumentative with prices. We were right! if you want hair in your food you may or may not get some in yours from one of the waitresses who had long hair that was NOT tied up. Friendly waitress but please hair up!

Our room was fine, I thought for the price of the room a continental breakfast should have been included. The staff were all lovely and friendly, overall a nice and central place to stay.

This is a nice hotel not far from the centre of Adelaide. The rooms are good and the staff are efficient. I didn't have time to eat or socialise as I came late and left early but I'll go there again next time I'm in town.

We held our DT Talk LIVE event in April and the hospitality by the crew at the Arkaba for the show in the Top of the Ark function room was outstanding. A great team to work with for what was a very successful evening with our audience enjoying the venue! We spent the weekend there and drank plenty of beer, ate plenty of food and soaked in the atmosphere. Thanks once again! We look forward to coming back in 2019.

The customer service here was brilliant. The food was good. Very happy with the waiter we had he was attentive and had fantastic customer service skills. He accidentally bumped one of the plates dropping some of the chips on the ground and brought out a bowl full of chips to apologize. My lasagne was perfect. The only feedback we have is that the pork belly skin wasn't crispy. Other than that our meal was supurb. Will definitely be back. The playground area is fantastic for kids and the fact that they provide drawing pencils to keep the kids occupied is a great touch for families.

Sad to be treated like freeloaders & they lost an opportunity to gain a customer. We were Grateful to win a night here, from a raffle, donating to an awesome cause, however, we were sadly disappointed with how we were treated. Unexpected fees… Overpriced EVERYTHING, disinterested staff & obviously were placed in a corporate room… As a couple hoping for a relaxed, romantic night, we were disappointed! Although, the Spa bath was very good! Sadly, we would not recommend (we still stripped the bed etc though, to help housekeeping)

Great steaks once again. Oysters were also delicious. Staff always friendly. Good venue for lunch. In my case treating a friend for his birthday was just perfect.

Rooms are OK the bathrooms are lovely and some have spa or deep sit in baths which I love. Its a busy hotel and is fairly moderate in price range. Lots of pokies in the large rounded ground floor area. Dinning is separated well to enable no sound travels through. Bottle shop stays open to midnight and fairly moderate selection and is OK for price. Find other bottle shops slightly cheaper in local area.

Great stay, nice rooms and service. Enjoyed the gourmet breakfast waffle!

A meeting hub of interstate meets old reliable. Needs an update here and there, but it's nice to relax at with a friend or workmate after a hard day.

Paid $22 for a chicken Parma which was the size smaller than a $5 note and the width. Chips were cold. Salt n pepper squid was alright. Maybe the reason why it wasn't busy. I would be looking elsewhere. Value for money and quality food this pub ain't.

Attended a few functions & events here this year and I’m liking the revamped look compared to years ago. The atmosphere is great and the dining area is so cosy and inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Toilets are clean. Ample parking surrounding location.

Mostly some cheap drinks. Food also good from what I've seen & been told. Renovation rare ones that works. Stage could be bigger for bands though as they are crowded into one small space. Couldn't see any local free-ATM though. Bar easy to get to. Plenty of security.

Great concert by Creedence Revival would love to see them again. Disappointed that people got up to dance we couldn't see the band for the last half hour. Meal was very nice, venue terrific.

Went to a seminar in the boardroom. It was very good. Tried the chips, wedges and pita bread plates. All were great. The large TV and Audio was great for the presenter. Everything was flawless. Highly recommended location for meetings and presentations.

Great place. Fantastic price for a family of 4 to stay. Central to everything. Nice n quiet. Sports bar, pokies, restaurant and a supermarket right next door. Fantastic guy on reception.

Had a great steak here the other night while catching the Strikers BBL game. The sports bar had a pretty decent range of sports on and was a friendly atmosphere, not too loud either. My only neutral comment was the pints of Super Dry were priced more inline with an inner city bar rather than suburban pub, acceptable but not cheap. Will come back for sure :)

Rodney Rude made a wonderful performance at the Arkabar back in 2013 — he had the audience in stitches with dirty jokes and innuendo. The Arkabar is an old fashioned favourite of the Eastern Suburbs, everyone has a fond memory of a time here. Do yourself a favour and book in today!

Great room and service at the Arkaba! Close to public transport and close to the city. All the facilities you need in the one place with a small shopping complex one side and the world's best supermarket on the other Would definitely stay again in this clean and lovely accommodation.

Friendly service, good value meals. Nice decor. Easy parking, close to the CBD on a direct bus route to the city. Shops and supermarkets close by the Hotel.

I was there for the Adelaide Knife Show. I admit I was so tired from the show I mostly slept in my free time. The room was absolutely spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good. I liked how they have a central control between the beds for the TV, lights and AC. Check in was fast and check out was literally under 30 seconds. This hotel has its act together. My only gripe was like the review below about getting the air con adjusted. I turned it down as low as possible and it was still blowing out hot air. I eventually turned it off to cool down. If that was fixed it would easily rate five stars. I was just too tired from the show to mention it to them at the time. Great place to stay. I’ll definitely be back again next year.

We attended on Saturday night for a Doll Guild 5th anniversary dinner and I couldn't fault one thing at all. We were a large group and our dinners were all served in a timely manner. The meals were beautifully presented and tasted just as good as they looked. The venue itself is outstanding with so many different rooms to either sit quietly or listen to music. Thank you to the staff who made a good night even better.

Chose The Ark for my birthday lunch which just so happened to coincide with the AFL Grand Final… Crows v Ruchmond. I had requested a table in front of a large TV and that is exactly what was delivered… very pleased… oh and we were in The Boardroom. Nothing… did I mention nothing… was too much trouble for the staff… they looked after us beautifully. Busy day at the Ark as you can imagine… only negative… should have been more bar staff. Will we be back again… yes we will… thanks again for delivering on my special day! x.

Ideal place for drinks and meals. They have sections so you can enjoy a quiet meal of you want one. It's a sports bar, so you can enjoy sporting events here as well. Will definitely go back in the future.

Just finished watching American College Football in the Sporty Arena. Jason was kind enough to put the game on for me at 9:30 in The Bistro, then let me in to the bar a little early so that I could watch it on the big screen. Caroline in the bar was great as well. This was probably my 6th time at The Ark and the staff is always top notch. Keep up the great work!

My partner and I had a function there on Sunday and the room was beautifully decorated and the staff were amazing during the event. Loved the day. It was a great place to have our party! Would recommend them to anyone!

First visit after about 20 years. Was impressed with service and facilities. We went to see a band upstairs and had a great night with an eclectic crowd!

The hotel was very clean and well presented. We were there for a function and the staff were all polite and attentive. The function room was nice, although a little outdated in design with the wood panelling and mirror celing. Over all a positive evening.

Was there for a birthday party in the Fullarton room. The food was good but maybe a bit more choices and amounts would have been nice. The service was good regularly checking if anyone needing drinks. The biggest issue I found was the temperature of the room was way too high requiring you to find relief outside of the venue. Given that the room has mostly glass doors for walls it was not great for privacy but did allow those who were interested to see a TV outside which had the football on. On the whole we had a good time.

While the service was lovely, the food was simply lacking. There was nothing wrong but nothing satisfying either. The seniors roast was stacked up on top of itself in fancy presentation and I thought that was odd — seniors roast of the day if anything is going to be the one you should present traditionally.

Spent an entire day here for a craft beer event, the location staff were friendly but didn't get a whole lot of interaction for the day. The establishment is much nicer than it used to be, the function room is quite fancy, very spacious.

Went for lunch on a Friday. Dead quiet with a poor quality schnitzel that was over priced ($17 for half size! ) The wine list wasn't great and generally just didn't like the look of the venue, it was very dated. The only saving grace is the staff who were friendly and prompt.

After the night of Red Faces I was intrigued my Grandmother used to Chef here and she mentioned it was beautiful but wow. I've had a meeting with my colleague and I hope you like Cabaret with a multi talented and renowned local star. We have much to talk about.

Continental breakfast was terrible — cheap bread for toast and little boxes of cereal, one type of milk, canned fruit, service for the bistro and breakfast wasn't good either. Much to be improved. However the room was good and service for the accomodation was lovely.

Popular Hotel with an entertainment focus. Good quality food and resonable wine prices. Has a well known large upstairs event facility that often features popular bands on Friday or Saturday nights. Probably one of Adelaide best known hotels. Expertly run by it's owner Peter Hurley. Have eaten here many times over the years, never disapointed.

The bar areas were very clean and the staff were very hospitable. A good selection of beers on tap were available. The food was good quality and didn't take an unreasonable amount of time. Parking can be a bit tricky when the hotel is busy.

Popped into Sportys, the sports bar area, for a few drinks after a Business Function. Staff as usual were friendly and helpful and the service was prompt. My favourite location for sure.

Sporty's bar at the Arkaba were able to host a fantastic casual function for us recently with great food and drink options and friendly staff.

This is the best place in town for watching live sport! So many screens available that your favourite sport is likely to be shown and is always full with fellow Supporters. The staff are friendly and the meals are yum. The beer garden looks great and is such a good place to hang out.

Entertainment good — Customer Service BAD! — Staff tried to tell us only 13 people paid ($98) for meal and entertainment but we had 14 people there — which we explained, they bring out our food and one person doesn't get a plate. They bring us the bill to 'show' who paid — so we work it out. The bills shows 14 x $99 = $1386 + $50 because a 15th person lost their deposit — total paid on bill $1436. Making us do their own damn banking/job while one person sits without food for 20 minutes after paying $99 for the experience.

We loved this place a few years ago as one of the best places over 45s could go to meet and have a dance and enjoy meeting people. Now caters for the younger generation who have so many other places in Adelaide — bad choice Mr Hurley.

My rating for this venue would have been a 4-5, but is currently a 2. This is why, I am rating it as a 3 at this current moment, pending on the final result of my dis-satisfaction regarding our function in late october. Ie I have been sent an invoice 2 months later for food, which I know, was paid for when ordered. Up front. The bill was paid at the end of the evening, checked with reception before we left the next day that there was nothing owing? yet an invoice was sent out, TWO months later, with no table reciept to prove this? not happy. Not sure if my wife and I will be back unless this is sorted out.

Been to the ARK 4 times in the last few months — stayed in a Luxury Spa room — stunning! Birthday party for 200 in the top room food was AMAZING! and they have this wine dispensing unit in the ground floor bar — so I was able to taste a 75 ml glass of GRANGE! How good is that. Staff are so friendly and helpful — just have loved it.

Hadnt been to the Ark for probably 10 years until last Saturday afternoon with a mate for a countery, a bet and a beer. The food was disgraceful and the service was no better. Had a schnitzel and it was a triple breadcrumbed piece of shaved beef with no variety at all as salad. The chips and salad I ordered it with consisted of 1 wilted garnish of lettuce and some raw onion with a cherry tomato. Wont be going back there again. Fire your cook and have a go at running the pub how it once was. 1/10.
