Bath full of mold, fittings partially damaged and sink completely scratched. The shower constantly changes between hot and cold, but you should not shower there anyway, because then it becomes unbearably loud for the neighbor. Were only there for one night and the neighbor started to shower at half past six. This put an end to sleep. Since the reception does not arrive until 7, you are unlucky. But it wouldn't have mattered because the reception doesn't care. If you are looking for a hotel in a great location where you don't have to sleep, just stay away as the cleaners and craftsmen in the hotel do.

2 star for this hotel. Paid bond $50. And been told that parking for 20hrs will be free. But then before I checkout their told me their will deduct parking feom my bond. Hotel was not clean. Soap scum on shower screen. Flush was not working properly.

Convenient location, but old and not well maintained. Satisfactory for a short stay on a budget.

The location and price are by far the best qualities about this hotel. The rooms are very outdated, and they have paper thin walls, rushing water noise each time you or your neighbour takes a shower or flushes the toilet, firm mattresses, no Wi-Fi, and are a bit unclean (particularly the bathroom). The staff was pleasant, but did not clean our room or give us fresh towels once during our stay. Beware if you are offered the top floor, as there is a rooftop bar that stays open until 11pm on weekdays and 2am on Friday and the weekend. With all of that said, the room was functional and it'd be difficult to beat the price for the location. Would certainly recommend for just a night or two if you're on a budget and would use the room as a 'home base. '

I loved the price and the location of Paringa and overall had a pleasant stay. The room did have many faulty amentities such as the quirky ritual to summon hot water fron the shower, a very loose tap fitting, another very loose lamp, and the sound of water rushing through the pipes each time your neighbours use the toilet. On top of this, there was an ugly yellow stain in the sink and the toilet bowl. Overall, I should not act surprised by these negatives as it only set us back $70 for the night.

Absolute dog box. So out of date. Placed above a night club that went all hours of the night so no sleep. Stay somewhere else if you want to enjoy your stay in Adelaide. It might be cheap but would rather pay more for a night sleep and comfort. No reception after 7pm.

Absolutely disgusting place to stay. Will never ever go back or suggest anyone else for that matter. Rooms smelt, bathrooms were disgusting, rubbish was left in hall ways outside rooms for days. They even charge you for parking across the street when it should be free after what we endured there.

If you're chasing action and not sleep this is the place to be right in the middle of it all. 1980 time warp Noisy Poor broken sleep Broken toilet Couldnt get the hot water to stay at a constant temperature Dark dingy room.

A year later after a incident at the hotel where another guest threatened us then the hotel charged us $200.00 as they believed we were ‘smoking’ in the hotel room which was not the case, and still won’t let us return. This place is a joke.

Short comings were the hot water and the pressure of it. You could not control the air con (set to 24 degrees hot! ) The fridge did not close properly. Front desk closes at 7pm but was not told upon booking and had to go to another hotel to get my room key. Upon checkout there is no toilet in the foyer. However the gentleman working the front desk this morning was a pleasure deal with. It would have been a beautiful hotel back in the day however it really has been neglected for a long long time!

Decent accommodation for a short budget stay. Pros: Near restaurants, shopping and the Adelaide convention centre Cons: Noisy air cooler and you may get dodgy people hanging around the premises (because it's Hindley Street).

Great location, nice cosy room and very helpful staff! Some of buttons were not functioning in the elevator so ended up having to ride the elevator from 4th floor to 1st then walked down the rest to the ground floor. There was no instruction of how to adjusy the air conditioner. But overall I had a good time there. Definitely will visit again!

Basic accommodation that's a bit dated, convenient location, friendly staff.

Really nice staff great place for what it is.

Basically a dumpster. Staff wants to close reception early and lets customers on the street with all the luggage to go do the check-in in a different place, all of it with a straight face. No Wi-Fi on the room. Parking not included and is not part of the "Motel" facilities. Someone smoked on the room just before we entered and left a pretty thick smell. One would think Castro himself was here. Bathroom is extremely dirty. The windows are old and won't protect from outside weather or noise. Only come here if you are looking for a bed and a roof and nothing more.

Parking is an extra $22. Wifi is only available in the lobby. And the streets are so noisy we couldn’t get much sleep despite being on the 5th floor. Forget this place, despite it being conveniently located in the CBD.

Staff were great. The room was clean but very small and quite old, not in a charming way. The location was fantastic being right in the heart of the city. No room service, gym, foxtel or pool and the Wi-Fi only worked downstairs. All in all it was a basic room with a non budget price tag.

Deluxe room was spacious, convenient location in cbd, but that also made it incredibly loud and hard to sleep.

Wonderful accommodation for the price. Staff were lovely. So close to everything. Will stay again.

STAY AWAY! The lovely brunette that checked me in was the highlight! Even then she was on the phone for about 10 minutes and I had to wait. Where were the other staff? Upon exiting the elevator I was greeted by a hallway that resembled a movie scene. The dark tired hallways were only missing old blood stains on the walls. The rooms do not resemble any similarity to the photos on the website…, it's the total opposite. The rooms are old tired and incredibly noisy. Even the bed head looked like it was blasted by a Magnum 45. If you want a good night's sleep do not, I repeat do not stay here. Drunken Aboriginals on the street below kept me up till at least 3 am. Then the room next door decided to have a shower. The noise from the shower through these paper thin walls sounded as though the person showering was in my bed, it wasn't until about 4 am when I actually got some rest. Great location if you're a young single bloke who wants to go out and party… the location is perfect for that. I had no idea this was the dodgy end of Adelaide, but if you're there with a partner or family this is not the place for you. No wonder it's so cheap! Never again!

If you like a central location it is good. If you pride anything else in your life. Stay far away. Pictures you see are fake. It looked nothing like our room. Our room looked below hostel grade. — People sitting around in the lobby with nowhere to move, felt extremly unsafe at 9pm. — After 7pm — no reception unless you go across the road — Bedroom had 1x occupant — cockroach — Bed gave my partner and I a rash. The alergic reaction prompted us to spend 999 for 1 night elsewhere — There were scratches all over the bed head — The bathroom sink was disgusting and stained as well as the shower — Windows were heritage garbage. They left a god awful breeze through, in the 1 hour we could tolerate it. The receptionist was quite nice to refund us the money. I would never ever recommend anyone to come here unless you 100% have to or cannot afford elsewhere. We are still waiting for the refund.

Decent motel, not great furniture but clean rooms. Good for quick stays.

Rooms were great as were staff. Location is not fantastic if you are staying Fri or Sat night — did not sleep due to the peak hour partying on Hindley from 11pm until 4am. Then the fights and police from 5-7am. Then the street sweepers from 7am.

Upon check out, two of my friends accidentally took the room keys with them back to Ballarat. I was charged $200 for the "lost" keys even though I was in constant communication with the hotel about having them returned as soon as possible. They then denied on two separate occasions that the keys had been returned even though we had Australia Post Tracking confirming they had been received nearly 2 weeks ago. Today after finally admitting the keys were in deed in their possession, they kept $30 of the lost key fee stating they had to have a locksmith change the barrel. This is in addition to trying to charge me an excess cleaning fee the day after we checked out even though the attached photos in the email were not of our room. Obviously the hotel looks for non ethical ways to charge additional fees to their patrons. I cannot recommend strongly enough to not stay here. Judging from other feedback on here, my experience is not an isolated one. I will now let my credit card company and ACCC work it out.

Not bad, you get what you pay for in that the building is somewhat dated with simple room furnishings. Location is spot on however.

Fantastic location in the very centre of the city, easy after hours access with good sized rooms.

The room was comfy and provided for my basic needs. Good price. Building shows its age internally but great budget accommodation.

Bed was ok but uneven Staff didnt look happy when providing the free tea and coffee 11.50 for a couple of savory or sweet snacks is over the top.

Hi I stayed at the Adelaide Paringa for 3 Nights and I thought it was fantastic. Yes the rooms were a bit old but you know what its only a room the beds were comfortable and Raelene and Victoria were so friendly and welcoming at Reception. They were professional but more than willing to go out of their way to help. The other staff were friendly as well but I mainly dealt with Raelene and Victoria I hope they never leave because I will be back to stay at the motel soon I hope. Thank you Adelaide Paringa for a wonderful experience and I will see you again soon From Shelly.

A pleasure always comfort at the rite price.

It is cheap and central. Never had any problems with this place and stay there a lot. It is nothing flash but it is clean, centrally located and within walking distance to the mall and eating places.

Affordable, ideal location, friendly staff. Get what you pay for.

The worst I have ever seen/heard no fork/spoon/microwave/plate/Wi-Fi in room for A week they charged me 500$ for internet while it was clear to me that it would be free. Just before trust WEBJET I, ll never go there I, ll never trust webjet, who suggested that place.

Very bad. The only good thing of the hotel is its central location. I found a cockroach in my room the first night and the pipe in the wall were vibrating every time that someone was using the tap.

The price is not real if you have a car. I've just come back from Adelaide with angry mood. Hotel staff told us we can have an $18 parking in Miller apartment, or get their $12 voucher to park in Wilson parking. Both are not available. We finally paid $175 for 2 nights accommodation and $72 dollars for parking. With this rate, we can have far better choice.

We were on the 14th December 2013 on Friday in Adelaide and had the room 501: impossible to close an eye the night. The elevator was to hear every 10 minutes a police siren went out of the room.
We have searched booked night another hotel the same evening for the second. In addition, the hotel was old and noisy.
Never again.

Hotel is OK for a budget style accommodation but when it comes to paying the account is the problem. I paid my account by cash and was advised my swiped debit card would be cleared at the same time. The debit card was used to charge for the accommodation a second time and after four days the amount has not been cleared. Rang Paringa last Friday and three times on Monday without receiving an answer. I rang to tell them my bank could clear the holdup by Paringa sending a fax which has not been done. Time on all calls (STD) were over 30 minutes. Would NOT recommend.

Economical Accomodation. Aircon. Large rooms. Central to town. 100 metre from bundle mall tram station. Tram is free. Tram every 10 mins. Food cheap. Excellent noodle shop will cook to your taste. Pancake shop 20 metre from door. Taxied from airport is $22.00.

Hindley Street after dark is perhaps not the best place to be but The Paringa is good value for so close to CBD. Staff great. Second floor has rooms running off passages everywhere.
