We had Xmas Day Lunch in the Ballroom! The food was amazing and so were the staff! It wasn’t over crowded it was perfect! Would recommend 100 percent! Well done Mercure 🎄

The staff are so beautiful and helpful nothing seems to be a drama to them selection of fruits yogurt and muslie available was awesome swimming pool lovely too.

Was there for a friends birthday dinner the service was amazing and staff very friendly. Downside of the night was the pool area. Around the ladder area of the pool there is a step leading to the grass area our 70 year old friend fell after not being able to see the step as there is no lighting whatsoever to allow that step to be seen. Please put a row of lights below the step. Luckily she landed on the grass otherwise it could of been so much worse. Other than that brilliant night.

The staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. The restaurant meals are just absolutely fantastic such great quality and the waitresses were wonderful. We always come back to here.

The airconditioner in our room was very noisy, the breakfast was not hot and went cold very quickly, the paths at night are not elderly friendly, no lights.
On the plus sign we found that the staff were very helpful and friendly!

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The in house restaurant/bar provided a dinner that was above expectations for food quality and service.

Enjoyed our lunch on the deck. Steak perfectly cooked with beer bartered chips and a lovely fresh salad.

The staff are the best customer service in any place ive gone the ladies who work in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner always friendly and really looks after everyone! I enjoy every stay here! all the staff are always happy and smiling!

Catherine our waitress this evening Friday 31 July was absolutely such a fabulous host. She made our group who had gathered together to celebrate a good friends birthday such an enjoyable occasion. Her beautiful smile, bubbly personality and expertise at concocting such wonderful cocktails mock tails beers and whiskeys was 5 plus service! Our entire group was really pleased with her table service

It’s in a good location. I’ve stayed there many times. The staff and the restaurant were great but the bed I had last night was uncomfortable and hard. I’d driven all day and just wanted a good bed to sleep on. Maybe they need to be updated.

I held a workshop here and could not have found the staff more helpful and the facilities more perfect for my needs.
As a group we had lunch in the dining room and order bar snacks in the afternoon which were delivered to our conference room.
I'll definitely be holding future workshops here.

Reception fantastic. They were quite helpful with me in fixing my heater up, when they couldn't they offered me free wines to make myself warm — very friendly.

What a great hotel! Have loved every minute of our stay and will defiantly be back. The buffet breakfast is amazing and a great selection for the kids. Wonderful room service and the workers all friendly and helpful. … Awesome location, 1 minute walk to Sizzler and other restaurants and shops, 2 min to Castle Town and a 5 min drive to The Strand. The pool! Well my favourite part. The best resort pool for adults and kids I’ve seen since leaving Europe 7 years ago! Kids have had an absolute ball and can’t wait every day to jump in the beautiful pool. Thank you Mercure! We are regular visitors to Townsville as we have family here and this is now the only place we would stay.

Went to a conference there, easy parking, the grounds were tidy, gardens were Lovely. Looks like a great place to stay.

The hotel is well located in the centre of Townsville, close to shops, but set off the road for quiet. Plenty of off street parking. Views over an artificial lake. Restaurant is undergoing refurbishment at present but they have a mobile kitchen doing some nice basics. Rooms are comfortable gettinga bit outdated though. Has all the amenities.

Had a fortnight stay for surgery. Awesome staff that bent over backwards to help made my recovery much easier. Rate and appreciate the customer service and food.

Great service, in room dining was one of the nicest I've had and the room is spacious. Had to deduct a star for long life milk cups, no full length mirror and my room took in smoke smell from an adjoining room.

Would just like to put in a good word for my man Ozzi. He was the best waiter I've ever had, an absolute top bloke. He'll go far in this business. Thanks again! Xxxx.

The Mercure in Townsville has it charm that is hard to describe. The open plan reception is reminiscent of Fiji. Staff are warm and courteous. Rooms are well appointed, sliding mirror doors open to a tidy and clean bathroom. The restaurant and bar are reasonably priced. My waitress had an excellent palette and her advice on what I should order from the food and wine menu was priceless. The pool is inviting and I was told some rooms overlook a lake.

Stayed 3 nights for a wedding. Staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent and the kids loved the dim sims! Our room was a bit of a walk from reception and it could do with a refurb and a new bed but we were within walking distance to a nice local shopping centre across the lake.
It’s a little out of town so think about a hire car if you want to do some sightseeing in town.
Would definitely stay again if only for the service with a smile.

Very relaxing stay. I had a lovely meal and a good night sleep. The buffet breakfast is amazing.

We had a family get-together and dinner in the restaurant. We sat in the outdoor restaurant section next to the pool. The evening was nice and warm with a slight breeze. We enjoyed the ambience. The staff was very friendly, but the service NV was a bit slow. We found the price s bit expensive.

Great spot for a wedding. We were down by the lakes and the weather was beautiful. Hotel was well presented and clean. Staff were friendly.

The Mercure hosted our sports club event in the Burdekin room. The food and venue were top notch and the kids loved it. I have been to several events here and am always impressed.

Stayed here midweek great location close to shops and eateries. Great service and food. The staff were fantastic and friendly. Even loved the ducks that would visit the grounds.

Menu was good. Food was great. Good price nice surrounds and use of hotel pool was an added bonus.

Mercure is one of our go to hotels when in Townsville. It has been refurbished. We received good Customer Service. Rooms are clean, good food as well. Close to fastfood outlets as well.

In terms of accommodation and amenities Mercure is quite good for Townsville. He The restaurant however is way way overpriced. Dinner was tasty, however tiny portions at an average of $35. Breakfast is $28 each. Save your money and head to a proper cafe and get a better breakfast and Coffee for less money. Breakfast is a buffet style straight from 1990.

Nice facility with pool and dinner and breakfast were quite good. Very nice staff. Definitely recommended. Overall, the Mercure hotels in Australia are always very good and not too expensive.

Excellent hotel — it has all that you want in Townsville a lovely restaurant with varied menu and a theme every month. Breakfast is very generous and nice and varied. Rooms are comfortable older design but very functional. Bathrooms are not designed particularly well having a shower is quite messy if you like a full on shower and it is very noisy for your neighbours in whatever room you're in;, the pool is uncomfortably looked over by the restaurant patrons… and you have to walk through the same corridor to get to your room in some cases. Staff could not be for today especially Bobbie in the restaurant in the morning and the reception staff. Rooms are exceptionally clean even for the most fastidious.

Nice clean room, laid back resort atmosphere. Large pool area and good dining facilities. Buffet breakfast offers a large cold and hot selection with plenty for vegans and vegetarians. No gym on site which is a little annoying.

The Mercure is a great place to eat out or stay the night. The food is great, the pool is very spacious and the facilities are clean. Staff are kind and always welcoming.

I wasn't sure what to expect coming here for work, as the room was so cheap, but it turned out to be a beautiful hotel/resort area. Clean rooms, nice pool, buffet breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and always seemed to be available if I needed anything.

I have never met such amazing, welcoming staff! Nothing was too hard and I felt like everyone bent over backwards for every guest. Amazing wedding. Margaret was super amazing, organised and again just went out of her way. I would recommend the Mecure to anyone visiting townsville. It's clean, peaceful, friendly and the pizza that I ordered from room service was to die for.

The Mecure Hotel really is a lovely place to dine, play and stay! The staff there are very welcoming and Steve, the general manager was very welcoming. Whether you are there for a single night or for a few, the level of service is much the same and with plenty to do there, you really can't go wrong!

I liked the restaurant with lovely staff. They showed much more friendliness than reception staff. The staff at check in were nicer than those at check out. The rooms were good but not as good as the photos. The pool and location were excellent. Generally, it is a very good hotel in Townsville and I would recommend it.

I attended the Bloom Inspiring Wellness Event as an exhibitor yesterday and was so impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of staff… and what a beautiful atmosphere. Water was supplied in the trade room and a fast and efficient method of ordering our lunches was such a welcome bonus when exhibitors are often pushed for time when it comes to sourcing their lunch. Well done Mercure.

This is a nice place, decently sized room, reasonably comfy bed. Food was only ok, but overall a decent stay.

From reception to all important cleaners and people working behind the scenes to the wonderful buffet breakfast, everything was laid out perfectly.

Walls are super thin can hear the conversations of guests in the next room, carpets didn't meet the wall. Sheets were clean but I wouldn't use the blankets. Positive tho, free Wi-Fi with decent speed.

Mercure is a beautiful resort with gorgeous views over the lakes. They offer great rooms, as well as excellent services and catering for events.

Attended a wedding reception and it was amazing. Food and drinks were great, the MC and staff were professional and on the ball. Would definitely recommend.

4 of us recently booked a dinner at Mercure, Townsville, prior to attending the theatre, so we were on a tight schedule. When we arrived, the place was crammed with guests from 2 wedding parties, who were running behind time, affecting all other users. It is fortunate that you have an excellent restaurant manager, Siobhon. She was brilliant, looked after us personally, made sure we had our meals without delay, provided a complementary bottle of wine & generally did an excellent PR job, ensuring everything went well, despite being under the pump. She deserves a big pat on the back. Hang onto her!

Brilliant service all round. Visited Townsville for a very sad family illness and I cannot thank Mercure enough. I was upgraded to a lakeside unit and staff and service was of a 5 star standard. Celsius Restuarant was amazing and food was presented promptly and extremely delicious. Room service was delivered quickly and housekeeping did an amazing job with lovely caring staff. Will definitely return and I cannot recommend highly enough.

Frequent visitor to the Mecure, this visit we stayed in a premium room. Much better than standard but still lacking some attention to detail. Two bulbs blown in two lamps, spare blankets with a musty smell, poorly positioned towel racks with pointy edges. But the bed is wonderful & overall a pleasant stay. Excellent beverage choice at the bar & buffet breakfast a highlight as always. Extremely courteous & friendly staff. Will be back.

We just celebrated my friends wedding here and they did amazing!

I attended a market research discussion group in board room 2. The room was clean and tidy with refreshments and food provided. I would book this package if I had to do a simular event.

Staff are always pleasant & attentive here. Rooms are a little dated but comfortable. Grounds are well kept. Good value for money accommodation.

Was at the macure for a work conference the staff were very pleasant and the room was well set out and well catered.

A good mate of mine and his wife got married here. I forgot to go to their wedding. I went to the Einsleigh rodeo and races that weekend instead. Apparently everyone came around to my house several times looking for me, but I wasn't there. I had a great weekend at Einsleigh regardless of the fact I forgot I was supposed to be at their wedding. After I eventually got home from my excellent weekend away, I realised I had forgotten about the wedding (I found a note left for me). So I went around and saw my mate to apologise. He thought it was pretty funny and his wife sure as hell didn't. I was in the bad books with her for a while. Still, I had an excellent weekend at Einsleigh though.

Friendly service with a smile from the front desk to the restaurant and bar staff. Rooms are very clean and facilities are excellent. Very easy to relax by the pool with a cold drink.

Location is a bit away from the main shops. Room was a bit dated but clean and tidy. Hotel restaurant was superb and pool and grounds were well maintained.

Wonderful customer service and attention to detail for business functions. Anastasia is extremely accommodating and does everything to make sure our events run smoothly. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Long way from advertised 4.5 stars. Booked online and prepaid 4 days or would not have stayed. Rooms very small, only place to sit or watch TV is on the bed. Bed was old hard very uncomfortable, creaked every time you sat on it. Bathroom very small no exhast fan or storage space choice of floor or the toilet seat. Ended up with a towel on the floor to put things on. Rooms were not that clean, equiptment lamps kettle condiment caddy fridge etc grubby. Carpet stained and furnishing generally tired. Daily room service very half hearted, small things, bin didnt get emptied, no fresh soaps or shampoo replacements, glasses not washed or changed. Outside was a different story. But you dont sleep outside. Great garden surrounds to sit and relax read. Great pool but its right in front of the bar and restaurant, in full view of everyone so didnt use it. Car park is badly lit with lots of takeaways nearby. Would I stay again? NO.

Not suitable for business traveler. I have stayed in ACCOR hotels in at least 20 countries around the world and this is by far the very worst. Room very small compared to cost. Inadequate lighting, exhorbitant internet fees. No ice machine in hotel and a tiny ice tray in fridge which is not very nice in the QLD summer. AC only half working and couldnt keep up during the heat of the day. No business service room for printing documents. Nowhere to eat except at the hotel restaurant or fast food places. Hotel restaurant and bar prices extremely high even by Aussie standards. Only place to watch the TV was on the bed and it was set to low to watch comfortably from the bed. Dirty warn carpet. Hotel was more like a run-down Motel 6 than a Mecure brand.

Had a great stay here, very inviting. Excellent service and for an extra $10 they threw in breakfast for me, my wife and 2 kids.

I stay here at least 3 times a year and always enjoy my stay.

Do not stay here, very bad service! As soon as you open the door bugs fly in. I had an item of clothing taken by housekeeping and nothing was done about it.
