What a gem. Great tasting and very cold beer. It's not the Hilton but the service is better. For an overnight 100 year old pub it has no squeaky floors or creepy noises at night. The accommodation rooms have a very effective split AC unit and a rather big fridge and good size TV. Water pressure in the showers is great. The pub is clean. Did I mention how comfy the bed is. OMG I went back to bed just to lay there. The pillows are great largish and not too firm of flattened. Linen is soft. Attention to detail is brilliant and many places could learn from this old pub with an interesting history. Food is good and bar staff are friendly and provide great service. Well done to everyone who the management is.
And some local characters came in and had a drink or so while I was there.
I will be back.
Cold beer, good food and the renovations have been tastefully completed creating a great atmosphere, well worth a stop.

Missed lunch running late, just seen the tail end of service. It looked good great, the old country pub clean and tide in this small town 👌 great public bar with fireplace, dinning room and beergarden easy parking 😀
