Mapleton The Pink House

We really enjoyed our meal here. The vibe is cosy and relaxed, and still very much the original pub setting — but the menu concept is ultra-fresh, farm-to-table. Everything was tasty and the portions were generally good and the service was ultra friendly.
The one exception was the beef, where I expected more given the price point of the set menu ($85pp). Proteins were a bit limited overall, and we ended up adding the prawns and potato cakes on top (at additional cost) to fill out the meal. With drinks, it came to a fairly hefty $150 per head.
I’d definitely recommend it for an occasion, or if you’re happy to spend extra for quality ingredients. That said, I can see why some might call it overpriced if you’re expecting simple pub fare, as the setting still reads as fairly casual.
Definitely keen to return and try some of the other things on the menu.

Five stars isn’t enough.
We visited for dinner and left wondering why experiences like this have become so rare. This is not your typical Aussie pub serving a standard pub menu, and that’s exactly why it’s special. The focus is clearly on fresh, seasonal produce sourced from local regenerative farming, and the food reflects that. Every dish felt wholesome, thoughtful and genuinely delicious. What impressed me even more was the service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, authentic and attentive without ever feeling rehearsed or over the top. There was a genuine sense that they cared about their guests and took pride in what they were doing. I have travelled extensively and eaten in restaurants all over the world, from simple local venues to highly regarded establishments, and I can honestly say this was one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
If you’re expecting a conventional pub experience, you may be surprised. If you’re looking for exceptional food, genuine hospitality and a venue that knows exactly what it wants to be, this place is an absolute gem.

I'm a regular visitor to the Mapleton Pub, it's the most welcoming establishment I've ever been to.
The food is delicious, the portion sizes generous, and their focus on food miles and 'using it all' is to be commended. Also, the wine list is pretty fantastic!
I love the feel of the pub. There aren't any TV's (thankfully), there's often someone playing live music in the green room, and the views over the Coast are magnificent. It's cosy.
It is super family friendly and a great place to go for everything from a quiet date night to a huge birthday celebration.
The best part though is the team. I'm always welcomed with a big hug and my particularly specific drink is made and on the bar before I've even had a chance to say hi to the lovely ladies manning it.
The Mapleton Pub is the very definition of hospitality.

Went here for the first time last night and was really impressed. The first great thing being that we had a reservation and the lady at the front realised we would be sitting next to a large group so she moved us somewhere a bit more quiet and we thought that was very thoughtful and we were very happy with our table. Then our server was also lovely, welcoming and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh and such clean beautiful flavours. Highly recommend. The whole experience was a 10/10 for us :) will definitely be back!

Great spot for a weekend drive and lunch. Friendly staff and wonderful food. Polished pub bistro style food.

We cannot fault the customer service in this establishment. The staff are very attentive. Shout out to Bridget who was accommodating, showed attention to detail e. G. Ensuring our little one received her meal asap, and squeezing us in without a reservation during arguably the busiest time of services. Kitchen definitely under the pump, and there was a wait for the adult meals. Food was nice & abundant. Overall very nice place with some growing edges. I suspect they may be understaffed in the kitchen and are working well under duress. Will come again. Recommend.

I cannot praise this place enough. Great service, fantastic modern Australian food and an amazing location.
We came in with no expectations and we were completely blown away.
This is on our list to come back to as we honestly enjoyed it so much. Competes with the best restaurants in the country and the rib fillet for 2 was the best steak I've had in a long time.

We had a lovely lunch at Mapelton Pub, food was outstanding, service was excellent. Couldn't fault a thing, highly recommended getting the chefs choice menu.

My husband and I had the most wonderful lunch here yesterday. The staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was outstanding. A real “paddock to plate” experience with beautiful, seasonal produce.

We enjoyed a fantastic Anniversary lunch here today, wonderfully warm welcome by Bridget who congratulated us on our Anniversary and so lovely to meet Leanne who was so hospitable and helpful. Food was exceptional, can’t wait to return!

When we walked into the restuarant, we immediately felt a feeling of comfort and a homey vibe. The service was also incredible, with the staff checking in with us regularly and creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious, very sophisticated yet unpretentious. This isn't one of those fancy restaurants where you'll leave hungry — the serving sizes were generous but also tasteful. Standout meals to us were the sirloin steak and the mortadella + pineapple. This is a place I'll be recommending to all of my friends; if you're on the sunny coast, stop here for a great dining experience.

We went tonight on a whim. Lucky enough to be able to grab a table. The wait initially after being seated was a little bit, but then we had the most on point gentleman wait our table. He was able to take our order with no pad or way to import — which is something special in its self. I can not fault this man on his service. He listened to his tables, knew when to come over and was able to provide insight when required.
Our food was ordered and drinks delivered shortly after. Meals did not take long to follow. We had garlic bread, scallops, mortadella & pineapple, beef skewers and potato scallops. There was nothing that we could fault. Even the kids meals — my 7 yr old ordered the fish and chips (big enough to feed my husband alone) and my 5 yr old the pesto pasta — which was made with fresh pesto.
It was really refreshing to come out to dinner on a whim and leave ever so happy! We can be very critical with my husband working in the industry but can not fault the service or food we received tonight.

An amazing gastropub tucked away in picturesque Mapleton. The food is AMAZING and well worth the visit. We had the set menu and had some lovely wines from the menu. One of our group was coeliac and she could eat (and enjoy! ) everything on the menu. We can't recommend it enough.

Wow, what an experience! Josh, the front of house manager, was amazing; personable, professional and super friendly. He really knows about the food they are serving as well.
We had "The Farm" tasting option and it was just awesome. Locally grown and expertly prepared and presented.

Mapleton Public House exceeded all expectations! The $75 set menu was incredible, serving sizes were generous, thoughtful and full of flavour. Massive compliments to Chef Sam Bartlett for setting the standard. We’ll be back.

We had an amazing experience here. The food was absolutely fantastic, fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully done. Everything felt thoughtfully put together and really enjoyable from start to finish.
The staff, especially Josh the restaurant manager, were incredibly friendly accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. The team made us feel genuinely welcome the moment we arrived. Service was relaxed, attentive, and added so much to the overall experience.
The venue itself is stunning, set in the hinterland with an amazing atmosphere that’s both laid-back and special at the same time.
Such a great local gem. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend checking it out.
