Had a great time the all the staff are really friendly and helpful I highly recommend coming here for a drink and dinner.

The motel side is good very clean and all up lovely.

Highly recommend the Reef hotel, we had our wedding reception there and Mike & Dané were Incredible. Nothing was too much to ask for, they did an amazing job of setting up. They food was amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful experience on such an important day for us. Carly & Mitchell.

The staff are rude and very presumptuous as too the ages of people. I was asked if I had a seniors card, I was so taken back I had no come back. Don. T EVER assume someones age. Never felt so offended in my life. Also don. T cater in room complimentary coffee and tea. No decaf coffee.

Ordered take away dinner to celebrate a teen’s birthday. Food was amazing! Made the day so much more special given that no celebration can currently take place. Food was prepared promptly and provided to us through contactless pick up.

I think the reef is a fantastic place to go because they have great music on, friendly bar staff that say hi, great food, great bouncers that do their job very well and I wish they bring back the night club bigger and better, as I miss the night club. But apart from that its fantastic, and put on karaoke upstairs.

We were at the venue at the reef hotel for my son and daughter in laws wedding celebration last Saturday night. We had the best time, the staff were great the food was wonderful and we would certainly recommend this venue to anyone that is thinking of a place to hold their party. Also we would like to thank Amanda who went above and beyond to help my son and daughter in law plan the event.

Still waiting on hotel to replace my stolen goods. Now nearly 3 weeks. The. Staff do not ID CHECK at for room access. They bullied person with disabality. Definitely not one the gladestone friendly. The clearly have not self respect. I was even theartened by Sean the manager. Glynn tomlinson the big boss hasn't even done anything about replacing thing. Do not bother. Stay elsewhere.

Hotel gave access to a guest I kicked out my room. Let him in while I away from room. If u want your stuff stolen well this is place to go. Atleast there a police station across the rs. Great job guys.

We stayed the night. It was comfortable enough. The dinner in the bistro was excellent and well priced. All over pretty good.

The staff were amazing, approachable and dedicated to providing excellent service. The rooms were large, tidy and perfect for a quick or even longer stay over when travelling — the price awesome for both accommodation and for the large, delicious pub food. Good distance into town and other areas but also conveniently having everything a traveller needs in one spot.
Definitely will be recommending!

Had lunch here. Food was great. The service was very good and the staff were excellent.

Went for dinner last night and few beers, wanted something light that my husband and I could share. Ordered the seafood platter for 1 and we shared it. It was so very good! The prawns and Oysters were just amazing. Thank you, we'll definately come back.

Stayed here due to restaurant reviews, we must have had a different chef to all the high reviews. Service was below average and prices did not match what it was, a pub meal! Accomodation was basic for the area.

Disgraceful … sat down to a very ordinary plate of food and was constantly interupted by a bunch of drunken kiwi workers yelling and screaming at each other across a table followed by forced laughter hooo hoooo hhhaaa. We moved some 30 mters away for some peace, but the more they drank the louder it got … NEVER WILL I GO THERE FOR FOOD OR SOCIAL EVENING AGAIN!

Rooms are beautiful, spacious and spotless. Loved my harbour view, great way to start my day. They went above and beyond to accommodate our every need despite losing power for 6 hours because some idiot decided to run into a power pole and blacken out the whole block! I cannot speak highly enough of the Manager and all of their staff for making sure our stay was of the highest standard. This is where you need to stay next time you're in Gladstone!

Very small room with poor lighting over the tiny desk area. Restaurant offered simple but good value meals.

Stayed here the night before and night after a fishing trip out to the reef. They were so accommodating. Let us into the room early after a week out to sea. Assist us with all our needs. Let alone the great facilities. Good pub and great food. Location is great. Hight recommend for a stay in gladstone.

My partner & I found the accomodation to be tastefully refurbished & modern. Very clean, a gorgeous pool & outdoor area on the rooftop unfortunately too cold for us to enjoy at this time of year. The staff all very friendly & welcoming, we ate at the restaurant & our meals were excellent & good value. We also had the complimentary continental breakfast prior to our departure, it was plentiful, with the cooked breakfast only being an added $6 or $7. Highly recomended be back for another visit when possible.

Came in on a cruise ship for 1 day, had lunch here at the Reef Hotel. We had a group and everyone enjoyed there lunch. Highly recommend it…

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable with a great loaction in town. The meals in the bistro were of good size and quality and I definitely will stay here again if I am in town.

Very poor customer service. Apartment desk almost never has someone there. Room service that is advertised in room is no longer in business. Told to park in visitor car park due to secure parking being full and told that was fine as they had my rego so it would not be towed only to find that they had authorized for it to be towed without letting me know. Will not be staying here ever again. Honestly has to be one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Really disappointing considering how nice it looks inside.

Good price, clean room, nice bathroom, beautiful rooftop pool. Small but decent gymnasium. The ribs had to much fatty tissue.

My room was perhaps a little bit small, but it was comfortable and well appointed. The bar, restaurant and staff were all fantastic. The food is very reasonably priced and was delicious.

I Attended at "The Reef" Hotel for poker with APL Gladstone poker league and I had a really good time whilst I was there the meals were delicious and the drinks were the perfect answer to wet your whistle. As I am new to town I found the staff that were there were polite and the friendly service was excellent. I recommend The Reef hotel to all of my friends and family to experience the same courtesy and respect I was shown. I am looking forwards to returning for future visits. Sincerely from Mason Martin.

Great place full of fun people and lovely staff! Food was delicious and in general it had a great vibe! Not creepy at all.

The room was average for an overnight stay. The room was stuffy and so it had a smell in the room. Bin hadn't been emptied from previous guest that stayed. Great water pressure and hot water in the shower though. Breakfast was a let down as there was no fruit nor danishes left when we ate just after 8.30am. Had to ask for plates to eat off.

In town to visit family for the 2017 Easter weekend. We decided to eat out on the Sunday night before going to the fireworks. We made an outstanding pick by choosing to eat at the bistro at the reef hotel. We booked a table at short notice for four adults and one five year old child. The place is set up perfectly for families as there is an area for the kids with videos and games but still in sight and easy reach of the dining area. High chairs are also available. There is a… very suitable selection of kids meals but the adult meals are great too. I ordered the full rack of ribs and asked to swap the chips and salad for a baked potato and steamed veges and was very cheerfully accommodated. I was thoroughly astounded at the size of this meal. I swear the rack must have weighed in at at least a full kilo! Vegetables were cooked perfectly, just tender but not mushy of soft. Though it was delicious I was unable to finish it. No rack of ribs has ever defeated me in this way before. My partner ordered the reef and beef (a 400g rib filet on the bone with malibu prawns, chips and salad and mushroom sauce on the side. She had no complaints whatsover finding both the steak and prawns to be perfectly cooked to order and flavoursome. My daughter ordered the lemon myrtle chicken which she did find to be a little strongly flavoured though otherwise good.

Convenient location, newly renovated rooms, good bar. Can't beat it for the price in Gladstone.

OMG new hotel, new life in the town. Lorved the renovations. Enjoyed the stay and then there is a roof top pool — great views. And then there is the food in the Bistro, awesome weekend.

If I could give it less I would! But it makes me give it at least 1 star, not even worthy of that! This place is a PIECE OF SHIT! It is NOTHING like advertised and now I’m stuck here for the night. The self-rating of 4 stars is an absolute JOKE! 1. There is no TV reception. 2. Every Foxtel channel has an E16 error message displayed. 3. The lift is very discomforting, so I chose to use the stairs, which had glass in the stairwell. 4. You can’t even see what the carpet use to look like. It is that covered in black grime and sticks to your feet. 5. There are windows that open fully to a drop of 3 or more stories which would have a sill height of less than 1.0m and located only around 400mm away from the bed. No way on god’s green earth could that be compliant for public occupation! 6. There is no information on the “Wi-Fi” that is advertised to enable connection. 7. The AC rattles and hums as you would expect from a 40 year old P. O. S! 8. Exhaust fan in the bathroom doesn’t work and there is a sign saying to shower with the door shut or else the smoke alarm will go off and you will be charged for the fire brigade callout. 9. The furniture was brought over on the ark 10. The images displayed on their site reflect in no way at all the dump that I have been placed in. This room appears unchanged (other than patch ups) since the place was built. 11.
