Due to COVID problems still/again we decided to explore our own back yard for a short break. This is a delightful resort set amongst the beautiful rainforest, with a creek nearby for a refreshing swim. Amenities provided in our room were plentiful and fantastic. Breakfast is provided and you have ample ingredients in the fridge to satisfy. Fresh fruit from the resorts own orchid with 2-3 different types of cereal. Fresh eggs from the resident hens plus juices and tea and pod coffee machine. The hosts also make their own pizzas, ice cream and you can even make up a half prepared scone mix for afternoon tea. Yes, the jam is also provided! We stayed 3 nights and got into the groove of a very lazy relaxing lifestyle. Plenty of games on hand for you to enjoy. We played monopoly and table tennis, haven’t done that for years! Great place for a group of friends to get together! Only downside is rooms are close together and we had a very noisy family on our first night. However it wasn’t too much of a drama. Will visit again!

Following in the footsteps of a friend, we decided to visit for the Show Holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Great to see locally sourced products included in the breakfast hamper. Beautiful grounds with plenty of space for visitors to spread out.
Creek was beautiful to hear at night. Hammocks were a highly prized and fought over ‘real estate’. Campfire, tree swings, hot bath by the creek, kayaks, free range chickens, spacious deck to enjoy a homemade pizza, afternoon drinks, thoughtful room inclusions and great appliances in the kitchen and no TVs… we highly recommend Cedar Park Rainforest Resort. We plan to visit again in summer to get away from the heat for a few days. Thanks so much for your hospitality Peter.

Such a peaceful spot with comfortable accommodation and lovely gardens and rainforest creek.

The quiet and the noise of the rainforest and very family friendly service, definitely would come back again.

We stayed for 2 nights. It was so relaxing. Only the sound of running creek and animals.
bathtub right on the creek was amazing.
the breakfast that was left for us was amazing. Fresh eggs and homemade bread, fruit, juice, yoghurt and cereal. Amazing.
the big log size bed was very comfortable.

At the end of a very windy road in the middle of nowhere is this amazing paradise that provides almost a sanctuary from modern life. Family owned, I stayed here only for two nights, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. With an incredibly reasonable price per night, very welcoming hosts, a beautiful environment in the middle of the rainforest with well adorned rooms and great amenities, this is by far the best accommodation I have stayed in in Australia. With trails leading into the forest, a lagoon to swim in, and a beautiful river right outside your door, you won't want to leave this place! The owners care very much about your comfort and well being and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Couldn't be happier with my stay here!

Wretched owner. Horrible surly woman. Obviously a money grabber. My heavily pregnant sister couldn't make it today and we found this out just before we lost reception on our 2 hr journey to get there. Told reception soon as we arrived and were told off by a woman on a power trip. All she cared about was making money on that empty seat. Finally got past that and were seated at a flimsy makeshift table, with heavily food stained table cloths and chairs that would barely support a large child, not to mention fully grown adult. When asking politely if we could please change chairs or table before other guests arrive (for the 3 people who had bad backs in our lunch party) we were rudely told NO! Basically told we were bad customers, given our money back and sent on our way. Would like a refund for the 4 hours travel time to get there then be turned away and go home. What an appalling experience, horrible lady, unwelcome experience and hope she fails miserably. Shame for such a peaceful atmosphere to have such a nasty, spiteful and hateful human being representing it.

We walked in ready to have lunch which we booked 1 month in advance. We paid and were shown our table for a mothers day lunch. We were shown to a dirty table with flimsy $6 junk shop plastic chairs. We had 3 people with bad backs so we asked for better chairs or a different table. We were told it cannot be done… What?. The table cloth was dirty as well. We were down 1 adult and 1 child than we booked for. We were spoken to quite rudely and told "thanks for ringing ahead we have turned bookings away" we had this booking for at least a month before. The lady who cannot make our booking today is my sister and she is heavily pregnant. Unfortunately unable to travel today. To be greated so rudely and to not be seated comfortably after traveling about a 2 hr round trip to get there. WE LEFT absolutely appalled. We will never go back there. Recommend never going there and telling friends to stay far far away. Rude and horrible people.

Amazing location, private, cosy accommodation. A perfect couples retreat. Hosts were friendly and helpful.

We went to the restaurant for their Friday night buffet. What a treat the venue had a lovely vibe, with the sounds of the Forrest to accompany our meal. The food buffet was amazing all so yummy and so unlike the usual "buffet" where you feel like everything has been sitting there just a little too long. The food was fresh, and wholesome. And the deserts divine! Thank you! We will be back, hopefully for one of your entertainment nights!

This place is beyond beautiful, the dinner we had here was amazing. My partner quite literally dreamt of the food for weeks after. Thank you so much for your amazing service.

Surly greeting when we rang and was then told that the deals were online and we should book online — even though we were actually SPEAKING to them and obviously wanted to book. Not going to now. If they treat customers like this BEFORE they even book, what will they be like when staying there?

We have just spent three nights here, our second visit in two years both times travelling as two family couples. Peter and Jane have done a great job in carrying on the wonderful tradition of fine service provided by the previous owners. The meals were superb, particularly the Friday night buffet and the breakfasts had an abundance of fresh, local produce. The owners even kept the kitchen open one night when we were unexpectedly late in returning and served up another excellent meal which was much appreciated and way beyond our expectations. The ambience of the resort was very peaceful, no noise whatsoever and we were able to enjoy the most relaxing evenings in the amazing al fresco dining area. Although we found the bedrooms a little dark that is to be expected in an eco friendly, rainforest environment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this to any of our friends looking for this type of experience in tropical North Queensland.

Beautiful environment, enjoyed the raucous birds and the dark night sky where we could see the stars. Liked being able to go to the bar for a drink late afternoon and sometimes staying on for a meal. A restful and attractive place to stay.

Quiet and nice staff but a little dated and a little run down.
