Our mountain bike was stolen from this so called secure family holiday resort. Ours was not the only bike stolen overnight. Would not recommend for families — unsafe.

Great family resort. Great pool. Close to beach.

Couple of small issues still to be resolved nice location close to shopping centre.

Great BBQ area undercover and fabulous pool and spa setup! Love
the heated spa with water cascading from rock features. Fun for all the family and kids alike! Close and handy to the lovely 'Pacific Fair' and 'Star Casino' with public transport nearby. We enjoyed our stay here!

Amazing! We stay here from Victoria every year. Will be our 7th year. The perfect family place. The staff, accommodation and location is brilliant. Easy walk to beach and coffee shops in seconds. Close to Supermarkets, easy access to Hairdressers, Plaza, short drive to Theme Parks. When you walk through the gates, you escape everything and just relax!

A disappointing stay due to the unhelpfulness of staff. After second night we questioned cockroaches (plural) in our 3 bed deluxe apartment, and that ensuite shower door did not close properly. Reception staff told us they would see what they could do, but that cockroaches are just part of life at these apartments. We stayed for 15 nights. After questioning again about cockroaches housekeeping came and sprayed some "Raid" type bug spray around and left us the rest of the can. I asked for a second can after another couple of days. Apparently pest control came on day 14 of our stay and couldn't find any cockroaches. Nothing was done about ensuite shower door, but we came up with a fix ourselves so that bathroom floor didn't end up flooded after every shower.
Everything was a bit grubby.
Loved the location and the pools and BBQ area. But will not stay again due to cockroaches and unhelpful staff.

Rooms were not what was advertised, paid extra for deluxe suites and it definitely wasn't deluxe. Dirty and run down.

Great apartments, and the pool/bbq area is fantastic and child friendly. Short walk to the beach. Overall experience was one of the best resorts I’ve been to and been going to resorts for 34 years! Definitely will be going back.

Would highly recommend this place great Atmosphere and the pools are so awesome. The resort itself is in walking distance to everything so the location is just right as you didn’t feel like it was too busy as it was a couple of streets back from the main shopping area but still in walking distance. We were on the beach side and at night we slept with the doors open and was so nice to hear the waves and no other noise very relaxing.

My experience was good, me and my family have been going there for two years in a row now. The Pools are very good there is one heated pool, two spas, and one big non — heated pool The staff are very helpful and nice I do recommend you to stay there it is lovely. ♥

Fantastic place to stay with kids. Cleanest BBQ area you will find. Standard has dropped a little on our previous stays.

Very tired and run down, bath tub had cracks in it, window sills had not been cleaned in a very long time, would not recommend to anyone, when we first arrived had to call re the roll away — no where in sight — disappointing as we booked for a family of 5 and only 4 were accommodated — feel very ripped off — not worth what we paid — also will NEVER use House Of Travel again — service and help was a let down! will do our own booking next time.

We stayed in a one bedroom unit to the back of the property. The unit was modernised, clean, and comfortable. Location was great for us as handy to so much the gold coast has to offer. The staff were friendly and helpful with suggestions on what to see and do. The girls said units are owned individually which is why decor is not standard and some may be a little older. But ours was good … recommended.

Location & setting, pools & bbqs etc are fantastic. 2 bdrm apartments great, 1 bdrm ones are small. We had 3 night's in 2bdrm one then back just us in 1bdrm one for 6 days. Reception fine but 1 girl really stood out, Jamira. She was lovely & very helpful. Room needed more blankets & first day in 2 bdrm one they didnt have any towels at all in room (they had run out). The setting, location & reception were fantastic though.

It is an apartment not a hotel which gives you lots of privacy and freedom. Pool barbecue spa etc just outside. Free parking. I love it and of course we need to buy our own supply but that is totally fine we knew that. If you don't want that go and spend a arm and a leg on a hotel.
I would come here again in a heart beat. I love it.

Pretty ordinary resort. Close to the beach and shops. Units vary markedly. Best only advertised of course. The one you get may not come close. Large maintenance problems all round.

Great location, great facilities for families. The room we stayed in was badly in need of some significant basic upgrades. Definitely not worth the asking rate if full rate is asked.

This is a good family place we loved it, awesome pools close to everything, clean and has good security, I will go back again, the kids settled in easily. The only negatives were no lift … and I would have liked to see one of the spas adult only, only for the reason that we are in our 60s and we were dodging kids all the time jumping in and out of the spas so it was hard to relax when arms and legs are going everywhere lol but it is so close to everything, a great holiday.

Excellent location. Large apartments with good amenities but if you want aircon make sure you have booked the right room not all rooms have aircon. Pool and spas are beautiful. Apartment needed a good clean and it's byo everything. Hotel are very tight with toilet paper, dishwasher powder etc. These apartments aren't serviced unless you pay.

We spent a week here recently and loved it! We were a group of 7 and had a ground floor poolside refurbished 3 bedroom apartment. There was heaps of room for all of us, beds were comfortable and it was beautiful and clean. Quiet location but only 200m or so from the beach and parks, close to Pacific Fair, tram stop, restaurants etc. Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this for a family getaway!

If you have a great room it's the best place for families to stay on the gold coast, awesome pool and best location to shops and beach!

Nice resort in a good location, great pool. BUT we booked 1 year in advance through an agent and I rang 1 month prior to our stay to confirm our rooms and request ground level apartments and rooms side by side (both booked under the one name). I was told yes that should be fine. Show up and are told we are on 2nd and 3rd levels and in different buildings. We are traveling with 7 small children including babies. This has made things very difficult going between the 2 units with all the kids and up and down all the stairs. You can't tell me there are not two 3 bedroom units next to each other or at least in the same building in this entire resort. It was obviously overlooked.

I enjoyed the stay they had good facilities in tbe room but the shower was very small. Pool area was lovely, close to Pacific Fair shopping centre and casino. Would stay there again.

Great place for the kids, pools were fantastic, plenty of room in units which were well equipped for a large group, comfortable beds, only complaint would be… not being able to be guaranteed a ground floor room, we requested ground floor 8 months ago & arrived to a 3rd floor room with an infant & mother with dodgy knees & loads of luggage, we did move rooms after 2 nights, but were charged a cleaning fee! Don't get the booking system here!

I found it to be the worst place I have stayed at. The 1st room I was in was disgustingly filthy & then got given another room which was slightly better. But there was cockroaches & the fridge had not been cleaned after something had obviously been spelt in there. I would not recommend it to anyone. I have stayed in nicer caravan parks. Staff seemed friendly enough.

We have just had 10 days at Diamond Beach Resort, our 1 BD unit was good everything we needed, bed very comfortable.
Unfortunately there is no air con in 150 we had ceiling fans and we brought a fan with us, I feel the heat and found in difficult at night with no air con.
However the pool were great one was heated, the 2 spas great, although we had no kids the kids pool and playground looked great.
15 min walk to restruants & shops, 10 mins to pacific fair shopping center one of the best shopping centres I have been to.
5 min walk to beach.

Worst stay I have ever had at a resort. Looks nothing like the pics so don't be fooled. Very run down in all aspects. We were 'supposed' to be in a deluxe suite, well that's what they call it anyway. Noisiest resort we have ever stayed in. Woken at 6am nearly every morning by noise from room above. Had workmen installing carpet in another unit from 7am. Phoned reception and they couldn't care less. BBQ's take forever to cook anything. Then at check out was told we won't have our $200 security deposit released for at least a week after check out. Very disappointing and disgusted!

Fantastic family friendly holiday Park with amazing kid friendly pools and spas. Removed from the hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise but a tram ride to Surfers and a short stroll to Broadbeach. Despite having so many apartments, from your apartment it only feels as though there are two or three in the park. We love coming here for family holidays. Only negative is that some of the apartments (which are privately owned) are showing their age and our most recent apartment had cockroaches and mould. The previous apartments that we have stayed in were faultless however.

Walking distance from the beach. Very clean environment. Nice to have a pool. Minutes walk from cafe on hedges.

Amazing location, amazing outdoor area for all ages and pools are amazing very large and one is heated. Spa is fantastic. Modern unit just no air conditioning was the down side only. Nice and quiet.

Location of the resort is good for families and facilities are good as well, unfortunately the room we stayed in was rather run down… Door locks not working, outside safety gate missing, dryer grinding very badly, room not cleaned very well, missing basic kitchen utensils such as frying pan, egg flipper. Etc… Bedrooms have no air conditioner and very hot at night even with the fan on. Living room does have air conditioner with is good… Overall I think the unit owner of our room has lots of maintenance well overdue as some other units we've walked passed look much better inside which is a shame…

New refurbished huge apartment. Feels more like home than holiday accommodation its that big. Pool right off apartment open until 10pm. Heated pools great for the kids. Check in process easy and price amazing.

I stayed here for 3 nights, I agree with the other reviews about it being generally clean, but outdated. When I think of this place, this saying comes to mind: 'You get what you paid for' — exactly that but NO more. I strongly advise bringing your own toilet paper, towels, cleaning products, even utensils (we had to buy a spatula). As long as you do that, then it's an enjoyable place. Although I found it very unnerving to find on the day of my departure, the staff entered our room and took the portable camp bed/mattress while we were out walking, without saying a word to us.

Very Close to Beach, Shops and Public Transport. Clean and pools are fantastic. We would stay there again. ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

After reading some other reviews after making a booking we were slightly concerned, but the facilities were impeccable, and none of the concerns other guests mentioned were apparent whatsoever. The staff were friendly, the apartment was spacious, clean, modern and extremely well equipped. Excellent and highly recommended.

Way too much money for what you get. The walls had cracks in them and the paint wad coming off. The doors needed Hercules to open them and the view on the balconies wasn't very good. The big pool area was pretty good but didn't look very well done.

With my wife, daughter and grandson, I recently stayed 5 nights at the resort. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. Thank you to Alex for placing us into a refurbished, spotlessly clean unit. The pools, playground and bar b que areas were perfectly maintained and spotless. We were able to relax, swim have a bar b q and enjoy the close proximity to the beach and shopping etc. The security was a comfort to us. Overall it was a most enjoyable experience. We have recommended the resort to friends and we will be back. John Pedrotti Bayswater North.

We stayed here 8 yrs. 'ago and again cup weekend 2013, and literally nothing has changed the grounds were untidy except around the pool area. The pool is great but the rooms were well in need of a refurbishment, very out-dated, the mattresses on the beds were very thin and uncomfortable the fans didn't work in the family room and our shower was mouldy, need less to say we wouldn't stay again.

Rooms are average but adequate. Still stuck in 80's some of them and no exhaust fans in any bathrooms. Pool is fantastic for all ages. We had a 2 and 3 yr olds and it's central located. All rooms go around the outside of the complex. Just be warn that there are no lifts. So if uou have a pram make sure you ask for a ground floor apartment. Still a few stairs to climb but not many.

Stay twice with my family, love pool area, close to shop, beach. With little more maintenance and updating facility, will be excellent place to stay.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment (#65), whilst the central pool area and location is good, the apartment itself was the dirtiest and most poorly maintained I have stayed in. We paid $1, 000 for the three nights, more than $300 a night and it was a ripoff! The bed were old and super soft, there was mould in both showers, the toilet leaked around the base, virtually none of the taps would turn off properly (how much does it take to replace a washer! ), the light in the fridge wouldn't go on, the DVD player was there, but wasn't plugged in and the worst thing was the furniture stank of dirt and filth. To add insult to injury the keys to the apartment didn't work and neither set would periodically open the door the car park. On the last day we saw cockroaches. Clearly when you vist this place, its a lottery. Some apartment seems to be well maintained, we stayed in one that clearly was not.

Great family resort with great facilities within walking distance. Will be sure to return.
