Personable and accommodating staff.

The room I stayed with my partner had a balcony with a great view. There were shops and restaurants nearby which was very convenient as they were all within walking distance. I expected a bit more from the hotel as they didn’t provide any drinks or sides as I thought it would be included. Overall it was great and staff seemed friendly.

Cleaners stole our personal items from our room when asked not to enter. The hotel management is extremely rude and has done absolutely nothing to help besides tell me to call the police. Be aware when booking at this run down hotel because it could very well happen to you. There is also stains on the bedding mould in the fridge cracks along the roof mould in the bathroom stains on the carpet. Absolutely disgusting place to be when on holiday from another state. Would not recommend this hotel.

Great staff, great accomodation.

The family room was old and worn. No quilts on the beds. The bathroom has alot of mould and the carpets are stained. It's not worth the price you pay. Really disappointing 😞

☆ No pool & spas were cold. BIGGEST ANNOYANCE — Had a 11am checkout, woken at 6.01am, with knocking on the door, then an Express Checkout envelope slid under the door.
Then again at 9.14am, we heard keys in the door. Employee just opened our door, without knocking & went to enter our room, until she saw me. Excuse was that she "thought our room had already been cleaned". I repeat… it was an 11am checkout!
So considering this happened TWICE, in 1 morning, it dampened our stay 😢
would we stay again? More than likely not 😢

Great experience! Had our rooms cleaned and beds made everyday, Let us check in early on the day we arrived and willingly kept our luggage away before we went back to the airport so we didn’t have to carry it. Great view and definitely a bargain, only minor issue was the spa wasn’t hot which was disappointing however would definitely recommend this place to stay at.

We arrived late Friday night due to a car breakdown and upon arrival the staff who greeted me was rude to say the least. As it was almost midnight I didn’t want to argue or fight just go to bed. I didn’t set an alarm for the next morning and was late to our activity we were there for and rushed off. When we arrived back to the hotel it the first time we got to look at the room.
It was disgusting to say the least! Mould in the bathroom, paint missing throughout the room, some form of spilt liquid on the roof. The “overflow” car park was the scariest part of the lot. Rubbish everywhere and felt unsafe. When I spoke to management upon checkout they said sorry wish you came yesterday so we could have done something. Then I also find out I shouldn’t have paid for parking. Again nothing more than an apology.
To say I am disgusted is an understatement!
Do not waste your money and stay elsewhere!

Absolutely loved our stay here. We booked for our 30th wedding anniversary and the hotel upgraded us to a suite with incredible views, put a bottle of wine and a card in our room and gave us late check out. Sandy was so lovely checking us in. Will definately be back!

Very dated and dirty. Pool area is a mess and not 4 star maybe 2.5. Staff are nice and helpful and it's in a good location. Room is tidy but dated and bathroom had a unpleasant smell. Breakfast. Cold fried eggs and bacon incredibly smoked and of a poor standard.

Our experience at this hotel was fantastic. We arrived early and exhausted so we asked the front desk staff whether it’s possible to check in early, and they were so helpful, understanding, empathetic and absolutely first class. Parking was so easy. Situated in the centre, 2 mins walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Everything was close. Perfect. 10/10 thank you so very much. Your staff is amazing. Reasonably priced as well. From the front desk, to the breakfast, to the cleaning of the room… service was first class. Thanks so much.

Our room was clean and spacious. There were some very minor issues with some mould around the top of the (obviously old) bathroom sink and some old cupboards which let the quality down a bit, and Housekeeping obviously forgot to check the cup/cutlery drawer as there was some stuff missing. But first world problems really. Pool was great. Bit of street and corridor noise which didn’t bother us but might be a problem if you’re picky about that. Spectacular view from our room.

Front staff and concierge were friendly and view was great apart from that housekeeping let’s them down floors not cleaned, bed not made on first night and sheets not changed in 8 nights (apparently that’s classed as a short stay so they don’t change sheets), no bath gel or shower cap, toilet didn’t flush properly and tea, coffee etc never topped up at all even leaving it out and open didn’t get it refilled. Concierge had to come up to supply these and also remove dirty towels left by housekeeping in our bath. Pool area old and tennis courts fenced off, no weights in the gym room one of our suitcases was open (when we went out it was closed) manager was meant to contact us us but didn’t I also advised staff they should read the reviews on fb as apparently they don’t. $10 a night parking and was locked out on final night, rooms need tlc and paint also.

no-one answered the phone's. Staff dont say hello. Restraunt is very average. Rooms need a few final touches and lack finess. We had cash and phone chargers stolen out our room after housekeeping came through and did a half job. No-one cared. Won't be coming back…

Five stars for staff and restaurant, 3 for room condition, paint peeling in bath room ceiling, shower head not secure on fittings and bath has rust, air con set a fixed 23 C so room stuffy. Room other wise clean. Parking process complicated and would prefer valet option.
In a central location, wouldn’t t pay full price for the room.

I would have given this place 5 stars but for me the little things make a difference.
The lack of free Wi-Fi was an issue as I have an online business and what they charge for internet is just crazy. Is 2018 and hotels provide free Wi-Fi, at least hotels like this.
And for my whole stay I was not able to step into the spa pool as at any give time, all day long was full of kids, I counted 11 in there at some point.
Hotels and cruises have an age limit for spa pools as many adults would like to use it too, but can't as is takeb over by the little ones. Work on those things and maybe will change the rating.

Beautiful views from the balcony, spacious room with 2 queen size comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and the shower was hot. Stayed for 7 nights and will definitely stay at the hotel next time I visit the Gold coast.

The first floor is tall and walking in is a very atmospheric feeling.
Breakfast's performance was also the best in a nearby restaurant.
I especially like cheese fried eggs.
The cheese smell is heavy, but it's not as heavy as vomit.
The lettuce salad part is quite selective.
In addition, I also very much like the fruit (especially watermelon) and fruit Ugg sat out for breakfast.
Usually I'll eat together.
As the last dish of breakfast, draw the perfect period to start a vibrant morning.
The spares in the room are not particularly high-class and particularly useful (even a little incomplete: he only gives bath milk shampoo and sometimes has moisturizing milk as far as the razor bath cap, etc. Is all not available)
The two-person room I live in is almost the size of a four-person room.
One person assigned is a double bed.

We had trouble understanding the receptionist when she tried to give us parking instructions. My credit card to pay a deposit for damages was declined yet my bank said no issue had been received by them. Then she told us the lifts had broken down so we couldn't access our room immediately — lucky we didn't have to get changed and be somewhere quickly. We finally got into our room which was so hot because we faced the full sun, albeit the view was stunning. So we turned the air con on — we couldn't adjust it from 23.5 degrees! The door hiding the fridge was almost falling off and when I opened the fridge to put medication it the stench was vile! The drawer was stiff and we couldn't open it to put our clothes in. The light near the wardrobe flickered — for someone like me who has an inner ear/balance problem this is a real issue. Because the A/C wasn't working properly, or at all? We slept with the balcony door open but the noise from the street was horrendous. Not staying here ever again, one of the worst Mantra hotels we've stayed in and wasn't cheap either considering the condition of the room. Beware if you book this old run down hotel. It's ripping people off because of where it is. Not good for business.

In the first week of May this year, I arrived to find my room had marks on the walls, the cabinetry was chipped, the wall and door paint was chipped, the base of the bed had ripped material that was hanging down. I complained and was offered a refurbished room that I declined, one of the reasons was that I had laundry to do and was told I would have to walk 10 minutes to a laundromat down the road. I was told by the duty manager that I was not eligible for a refund of my prepaid room as on the website the rooms are depicted as they are. I refute this and your 4 star rating because of the state of my room, I wish I had thought to say this to her at the time. In an email from the hotel I was asked to make a response on my stay. I did, and had no reply. I loved my Gold Coast experience otherwise, from the hotel I moved to. Love Australia too!

We stayed four nights in a room on the 22nd floor. Excellent view. We had two queen beds and good room service with regard to cleaning and food delivery. The room was spacious and had a good bathroom, lovely hot water. There was a TV (TV is giving way to online entertainment these days) and there is Wi-Fi but as it was only 200 meg per day we used our data (15 gig for the month) over all very happy. Best point was the happy smiley staff.

Great experience! was booked few months ago and give me a really good room with a great view of the sea. Room service is very hospitable and accomodation is tidy and clean. One of my fave hotel in Gold Coast.

Certainly value for money. Staff are very professional and the rooms are very neat and tidy. Balconies for smokers (If you smoke that is) are a bonus. The pricing is more than reasonable, facilities excellent and the food quality good. The bar are was perhaps a bit below what it could have been but generally not a bad establishment. I’d certainly stay there again.

The hotel location is walking distance from surders paradise. 24 hours chemist and convenient store just next door. Nice room view and nice service.

A very bad hotel, service staff is very bad attitude, there is education and training? What do you mean by service first? Obviously, order is for two nights. Why does the text message ask tenants to check out? Why does the 11 o'clock broadcast yell? Respect customers? For the first time in my life, I encountered this kind of service，Really sad。

Mantra on View never disappoints the staff a wonderful and the hotel it self is great. The hotel offers a gym, tennis courts and swimming pool with an out door bar. It also offers a day spa which is so relaxing. When booking with the hotel make sure to ask for the breakfast package as they offer an all you can eat buffet breakfast which is to die for.

By the welcoming and polite staff of reception to the room we can’t fault it,
we got a room on level 16, clean and comfy room, ocean views,
Housekeeping everyday and they do a lovely job too,
you can tell the hotel is being renovated in sections but most of it has been done and done pretty well.
The hotel is in an excellent position, everything is walking distance and a convenience store, pharmacy and medical centre right at you door step. Beach is super close too.
I really enjoyed our stay here with my little family and would definitely love to come again,
Only thing we dident enjoy and dident think was value for money was the Friday dinner buffet, not a huge variety for the money and tastes where a bit bland, breakkie buffer was great though! would highly recommend!

4. The sunrise is beautiful, it is only 10 minutes away from the coastline. 5. Night service is provided (subject to payment).

It's really good we stayed on top floor with ocean view and it was really great. Staff were friendly and its well located just on surfers paradise. It's a great place to stay for the price they charge. Only thing they need to improve is food and bit of renovation. I will recommend this hotel if they are in gold coast for holidays.

Room was a little dated but overall it was fine. View from the 21st floor balcony was excellent. We loved the swimming facilities. Two large pools (one heated) and a kids paddling pool was great for our family and we swam twice daily. There is also a spa. Heaps of touristy stuff to do nearby, as well as the pleasant beach. No trouble with parking. The buffet breakfast always satisfied. Beds were nice and comfortable, better than I have at home. We look forward to returning in the coming years.

The service was fantastic, the food was great and the rooms were big. Pool gym and other facilities were appropriate for what I wanted to do. The location was great for anyone who wants to be close to the beach. I will be staying there again.

Very friendly and professional gentlemen at the front desk, was very helpful that we decided and booked our next trip right there and then. He let us into the pool area which was really nice, good views from this centrally located hotel. Oh, the price was right also! Update: checked in Dec/2017. I saw somewhere this rated as 4.5 star hotel. Nope, it's 4 stars at best however well worth the value. Staff very helpful. 5 nights, we were able to stay 2 nights north facing and then 3 nights south facing thanks to the staff arrangements.

Excellent Location for all you need, few blocks away from surfers paradise you can go by walk. Rooms are out dated. Services are good. Manners excellent.

Wow. First impressions not good. Although staff were friendly, Walked into our room and the bedroom looks nice, but that bathroom is almost not finctional at all! Shower head is a detachable one — can’t have a shower and wash your head without bending under the water, which sprays in all directions soaking the room! Very uncomfortable. Rust in the bathtub and dirty-looking tiles. Paint job is terrible and patches in the shower wall (tiles glued over tiles to cover) and in the walls where something clearly used to be but isn’t any more. Very disappointed overall. For the same price we could/should have gone to crown plaza, which is much better and only a tiny bit dearer down the road.

The location is very good, in the lively street, there are very many restaurants in the surrounding, walking to the Golden Coast beach only five minutes. There are more than three restaurants near the vegetarian restaurant, which is highly recommended.

Enjoyable stay. Room clean and comfy. Breakfast yum. Staff helpful even when under pressure when everyone is wanting to check out. I was lucky I had express check out. Big Thank you to the manager on front desk allowing me to park my motorcycle in the staff parking. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

The room was nice with a good ocean view. Beds were comfortable and staff were nice. Although, the twin room bathroom had a window with blinds controlled from the outside, which is weird for a twin room — unless you have romantic trips where you sleep seperate…

Staff were friendly and the bar people were nice. Place was clean and the even went as smoothly as possible. The location is right next to the nightlife venues so it made that walk quick and easy.

Great location, shirt walk to beach and main Surfers Paradise strip. Service is great and room sizes good. Can do with a little bit of an update, but otherwise quite reasonable for location.

The room itself was fine and most of the staff were helpful. But didn't appreciate being abused by a permanent live in client. We were watching TV and she bashed my door screaming and swearing saying it was to loud. I tried to apologize but she didn't care. Then we were threatened to be kick out for noise complaint… her swearing spitting abuse definitely was the issue… I will not be returning. There was me and one other person watching TV… permanent guest shouldn't be put on the same level as one off guest.

Good quality rooms, nice staff. We had the ocean view apartment on the 22nd floor. View was amazing! The rooms just were a bit dusty and a tad dirty, could have been cleaned a little better. The buffet breakfast at the nosh bar is really good!

This is a typical man truck and staged like all Mantra hotels around the world. It is wonderful that it is so close to the beach the rooms are clean the shower and bathroom is nice and spacious and the staff working there are very nice and helpful. What we like most was the availability to the transport and to the main areas on the Gold Coast were easy to access.

"Great value for money" Room spacious n well kept… location ideal for shoppers, beach bum n chill out… mins away from tram station n all the clubs n pubs just behind the hotel. Rooms were clean. Adequate service. Meals were good. Outlook not good as we were looking over the theme park.

The location is okay, but the customer service is extremely poor as they take a long time to come to your room when you ask to fix their outdated tvs that are horrible. Scratches all over the furniture, it made me feel like I was in a asylum. The price was good but I'll never be coming back, terrible way to end my trip at Queensland.

Amazing location in surfers. We stayed for a weekend away. The room was really clean and I had requested something nice for my partner as a surprise for our current engagement. They had champagne brought to the room and a swan Heart on the bed. It's the little things that hotel services can do. I was delighted. My only negative would be the pool area is in maintaince. It would have been nice to have a lovely area to go down to poolside. Hopefully when the renos are finished it will be great! Thank you mantra we had a great stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights. I found it hard to find a hotel in surfers for 2 people with 2 beds so this is why I chose Mantra. We absolutely loved this hotel and would highly recommend for a short stay or if you're not spending too much time in your room. The tram is a 5 minute walk to the hotel and is a 10 min walk to cavil ave. The views are fantastic. We found the staff to be extremely accommodating and the building itself and the room that we stayed in was exceptionally clean and presentable. Yes there are extra charges. Parking is $8 pr night which I don't agree with as every other hotel will include this in their prices, but it clearly says that on their website. If you don't like it, don't stay there. Yes there are extra charges for a later check out but atleast you have the option! Most places won't allow it and if they do, you will pay extra. Again, if you don't like it, stay somewhere else. All in all, we were very happy and would definitely recommend it and stay again. Thanks Mantra.

Great hotel clean great staff central location.

Staff here are great and the hotel it's self is quite pleasant but there are issues with the place. We had muti table issues in our room and as far as I'm aware this hotel has chronic water damage issues and is stating to fall into disrepair. Also the car park elevator is just horrid and unkempt and same for the attached mall to the hotel, it is just creepy walking through it and needs to be either demolished or renovated.

The hotel is on a good location and has access to shops and it is easy to find food here. Rooms are clean and service is good. It is very close to the sea aswell. :)

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious but a little worn out. Things were generally clean and daily cleaning of the rooms were good. Some mattresses can be more saggy than others. Would love to have a microwave in fridge if possible. Buffet breakfast was good and the views of the ocean were nice too. Pool was nice but not as big as some other Gold coast resorts.

Great modern room, very clean with a great view. Let down by a few little things — TV volume broken, no coffee in the mini bar, room phone was broken and reception didn't answer when I phoned from my mobile several times to make a noisy neighbour complaint then when I mentioned this the female staff member debated the fact with me and then our aircon stopped working. I would definitely stay again cuz was a great price and location.

Rooms so out dated and run down needs a good paint lots of scuff marks on the walls and chipped paint. Damn those white curtains they need thicker heavier drapes to bloc out the bright early sun. Had problems trying to open the cabinet door to the fridge was swollen perhaps due to moisture no toilet brush bathroom dirty mould in the corners. Stuffy and hot in our room and our aircon didnt work. Had a weird smell through out the hotel. The reception area looked very impressive but the room was a total let down. I suppose the only best thing about the hotel was the location the view off the balcony and the happy polite staff.

The only thing good is the location. Staff is rude and knows nothing about the surrounding. No need to go for the buffet breakfast or dinner. No standard for house keeping. And I saw a cockroach on the last day of my stay…

We were very disappointed with our stay here over the Christmas period 2015. The staff were rude and could not be bothered to help in any way possible. We requested one the first night extra pillows and a blanket, after three further phone calls we finally received the pillows and extra towels, not a blanket as requested. On the second night we lost all television reception, after ringing through again we were advised they would call maintained, one hour passed, I called reception again and I was advised there was nothing they could do until the morning. It was currently 8:00 pm and were looking forward to a quite night in watching a movie. Two nights later and our TV was still not fixed however, reception gave us no one answer but bullshit responses every time. Upon checking out, we paid cash and reception tried to give my change to me in a foreign currency, after I advised her that I only accepted Australian currency she just laughed. At this point I was far from being polite. I will never return to this establishment.

Extremely unhappy with the service provided by the reception. In my case, the receptionist (male) told us that the hotel would an extra $33 as we have purchased a movie from the TV, which we didn't. I did accept the fact that one of us might have accidentally pressed the wrong button on the remote control and "purchased" the movie. But I was more disappointed at the way the guy (about 30-year-old) at the reception told us that "we had your credit card details and the extra amount will be charged no matter what" without even trying to provide some other solutions. At the end, we paid an extra $33 for a movie that we didn't even watch, we feel a little cheated.

Great comfortable rooms with good views either side. Although there were plenty of choices at breakfast I wasn't impressed that they charged extra for an omelette…

Wi-Fi didnt work, buffet very average and room service delivered our hot choccies next to cold although they did replace them at their own advice otherwise.

Great views but unfortunately the receptionist (Bianca) was rather rude and attitudy when we checked in which rather ruined the place for me. The concierge was very friendly though.

Last month me n the kids were staying for 2 night it was great the view are awesome before I book I make my own mistake looking at pictures on the internet I thought it has a kitchen so on the day I check in n went in the room I couldn't find the kitchen so went down ask reception and ask (there no kitchen I think u put us in the wrong room n reception reply sir there is no kitchen in the entire building but anyway my mistake by not ring up reception anyway love every minute I stay there would I go there again? Yes I will I would recommend it to anyone.

A beautiful modern hotel, I came for a pony convention and the halls and facilities were top notch.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Outriggers! Awesome rocking up to a big lobby with Christmas Decorations which my son loved. Also the concierge was very friendly. My partner and I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone who asks. Our room was on the 21st floor so the views were awesome! Its right next the Tram station so we caught the Tram to Southport and spent the day shopping then at night it was just a 2 minute walk to Caville Avenue (would have been only a minute but we had our 1 yr old in tow lol). We will definitely be staying here from now on as the location is perfect n the pricing was very reasonable. Can't wait for our next holiday! :) Thank you guys for making it an awesome experience.

Spacious room and conveniently located with easy access to restaurants, shopping mall and the beach. Breakfast is decent. Would recommend to anyone.

Had an amazing stay during the Furry Down Under convention in 2013. The Outrigger is home to some of the most friendly staff I've encountered at an Australian hotel, they are always willing to help us no matter what the request. Truly exceptional service at its best during our stay. This hotel close to everything and its only a short walk to the beach and neighboring restaurants. If you'd rather stay inside, the Outrigger also offers some great food in house as well as an exceptional room service menu I highly recommend if your the room service type. Our room was always clean and well tended to. The beds were quite comfortable for a few days stay and the room's curtains did a great job of blocking out ALL the morning light, something I find that is quite rare these days. The bathroom in our room was very roomy and had an amazing shower! I will certainly recommend the Outrigger Surfers Paradise to my friends and family as a great place to stay while on the Gold Coast.

Value for money. The staffs are nice and the room is great. Already stayed at this place twice and never regretted.
