Hotels in Cooktown with a Pool

Milkwood Lodge exceeded our expectations. Heading from Cairns to Cooktown on a work trip and needed to stay somewhere overnight, well we didn't want to leave.

We only overnighted here having driven from Cairns to Cooktown (which we had not visited before) via the sealed highways.

If I could give 10 stars I'm not sure that would be enough.
Rooms are huge and wonderfully comfortable.
The family owners are amazing😍
The food is unbelievable, cooked fresh and wonderfully tasty.

This is an older motel, but is comfortable with a great pool, Bar and restaurant.
The Hongkong/ Chinese restaurant was very good, food was great and as described. Try the Mongolian lamb. 10/10!

It’s a really nice hotel. However, smoking is permitted on balconies which rendered mine unusable unless I wanted to breathe in the secondhand smoke of my neighbours.

Great Stay. Excellent rooms, kids loved the pool.

We extended our stay at Gecko Guest House as Dianna & Andrew offered so much advice about things to see and do around and outside of Cooktown.

Really lovely setup. Room so comfortable and clean. Great communal kitchen. Well located for exploring the area. Hosts were very friendly and informative. Would recommend.

Great budget options in Cooktown. Rooms are basic, but accommodation options there are limited and generally expensive.
The rooms are basic but great value, with everything you need.

We found staff friendly, who also went out of their way to accommodate our special needs. Rooms were basic but clean & value for money. Everthing well kept including grounds & garden area.
